Synopsis

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Awakening of the Past.

The setting sun bathed the battlefield in a crimson glow, a sinister omen of the end of an era. The ruins of ancient temples stood like skeletons, marking the stage of a titanic struggle. The bodies of fallen sorcerers lay scattered among the ashes, and the air was thick with the metallic scent of blood and the crackling of fire.

In the midst of this devastation, Ryomen Sukuna stood tall, his imposing figure undiminished despite the wounds covering his body. Deep cuts crisscrossed his chest and back, and his left leg bled profusely, making it difficult for him to keep his balance. Yet, his eyes, filled with disdain and power, burned with a fierce intensity.

Surrounding him, the last sorcerers of the Heian era stood firm, their faces a mix of determination and desperation. They wore worn armor and wielded ancient weapons, their jujutsu techniques the only thing left in this final confrontation. Among them, legendary figures stood out: an old man with a white beard, whose hands radiated both healing and destructive energy; a young woman, agile and lethal, who controlled shadows that danced around her; and an imposing warrior, covered in tattoos that resonated with an ancient power.

"Is this all you've got?" roared Sukuna, his voice thundering. With a simple gesture, he unleashed a blast of malevolent energy, disintegrating a group of sorcerers who had dared to advance. But even as his enemies fell, he felt the wear of battle. His wounds were deep, and fatigue was beginning to take its toll on his formidable resilience.

One of the sorcerers, the old man with the white beard, raised his staff and channeled a protective barrier around his companions. "We cannot let you live, Sukuna. Your reign of terror must end here and now," he declared firmly.

Sukuna let out a bitter laugh, ignoring the pain coursing through his body. "Pathetic. All of you together are nothing more than a fleeting amusement to me," he said with a twisted smile. But a part of him, a part that had reincarnated and fused with Sukuna's mentality, knew the battle could turn at any moment.

The tattooed warrior advanced with a war cry, unleashing a series of swift and precise attacks. Sukuna countered easily at first, but a particularly strong blow made him stagger. Seizing the opportunity, the shadow-wielding young woman slipped behind him, her daggers dancing in a coordinated attack.

Sukuna growled, feeling the edge of one dagger pierce his side. "Enough!" he bellowed, and with a swift movement, unleashed a wave of energy that sent his attackers flying. But the damage was done. He knew that, while he could win, the odds were against him.

"If I can't win today, I will ensure my power doesn't fall into the wrong hands," he thought. With fierce determination, he planted his bloody hand on the ground and began to murmur an ancient incantation. The ground trembled, and a blinding light emanated from his body, enveloping him in a spectral glow.

The remaining sorcerers watched in horror and fascination as Sukuna encased himself in a sphere of energy. "I will not allow you to end my power!" he shouted as the seal activated, his voice resonating in the hearts of all present.

Everything faded into darkness.

A thousand years later, in a forgotten corner of the modern world, a young man named Itadori Yuji picked up a strange finger and, in an act of desperation, consumed it. A malicious laugh echoed in his mind, but something was different.

When Itadori's eyes opened, it was not Sukuna's voice that spoke, but a combination of both. "It seems I have returned... and with a new opportunity."

The fusion of two powerful and antagonistic souls had begun its reign in the contemporary world.

Alright, first chapter... Not sure if I should call it that, I think it ended up kinda short, but hey, I'm more of a reader than a writer, haha. It's trickier than it seems, you know? Anyway, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out after all the deleting and rewriting, so... voilà!
