I smiled and kissed it before walking into my class, and suddenly a very loud irritation sound burst into my ears.
"Ms. Carter, you are late to my class again for the third time this week..." said my teacher Mrs. Smith. She kept on yelling at me for being late, but I didn't pay attention. My mind was on how she told me her name, how she reacted beneath my touch, how we were about to...
"Ms. Carter, are you even paying attention?!" yelled Mrs. Smith, pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Pardon me, I have a lot on my plate," saying that made Mrs. Smith shut up in a second.
"Do- do you want to talk after class?" she asked in a soft voice.
"No, I don't think so," I replied and went to my desk. Mrs. Smith is a very nice teacher, except when she yells. Her voice irritates the living crap out of me. Mrs. Smith continued with the geography class while I drifted away into my thoughts again. I couldn't wait for the lunch break to tease her.
A few lectures later, it was finally lunch break. I walked to the cafeteria with my group of friends, and we sat at the table we usually sit at. James said,
"Hey, so we have a party at my house tonight, remember?" I recalled James talking about it a week ago. He said he got 100k subscribers on his YouTube channel, so he threw us a party. Since it's James, when he says it's going to be close friends only, it means half of the school will be present at his house. I mean, he does have a huge house too.
"Yeah, I recall you talking about it a week ago," I replied.
"Yeah, so I want every one of you to be present. I don't want to hear, 'I can't make it, I have a test tomorrow,' and all that bullshit," he emphasized. It is kind of annoying when you plan something for weeks and people cancel at the last minute.
"Well, is Jeremy going to be there?" I asked.
"Of course, he is going to be there. He is my best buddy," he said.
"Cool, can I invite someone too?" I asked James.
"Yeah, of course, the more people, the merrier. But who are you inviting? Just asking," he replied.
"Oh, it's Olivia, Olivia Wright." They stared at me, confused.
"Who? Is she from our school?" asked Lia.
"Umm... yeah, actually she is-" Before I could finish, James asked,
"Who is she? Who the hell do I not know? Is she someone new?" he asked, all in one go.
"Well, she is the girl you all say 'nobody.'"
"Wait, what?!" James yelled.
"She has a name?" yelled Lia.
"Wait, she can talk?" asked my other friend Amelia, who was rather mean, but friendly.
"Well, she does have a name, and yeah, she can talk," I replied.
"Okay, then, I am just surprised that she talked to you. Out of everyone, I am implying the fact that you were teasing her, and others were being friendly," said James.
"Yeah, I know, shockers right?" Before my friends could reply, lunch was over, and I was disappointed that I didn't see her. I sent a quick text to my sister, asking about it, and she replied that Olivia was in class the entire lunch break, and she got detention for the first time because she was late, and she was sobbing because this was the first time she got detention. I felt extremely bad for Olivia, so I decided to cheer her up by bringing her some food during her detention period.
The classes ended, and I went and bought a Subway sandwich for her. Looking at her, I guessed she liked chicken more, so I got her a chicken sandwich. As I was about to go to her classroom, something or someone pulled me into a darkroom...
