Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: Action X Training

Out of concern for my new family, I took care to infect all remaining S.T.A.R.S. members, as well as Marvin, with the G-virus. This would better prepare them to survive the unexpected or an encounter with a biological weapon. I did this discreetly, making sure each received the necessary dose without alerting the others. The G-virus, with its regenerative capabilities and physical enhancements, was a means for me to protect them all. Certainly, I knew it would make them lose a bit of their free will, but it was a compromise I was willing to make for their safety. They would no longer be just policemen but survivors capable of facing Umbrella's horrors.

However, I quickly realized that my little scheme would not go unnoticed for long, especially with someone like Jill. As soon as she recovered from her infection, her instincts led her to seek answers. Her suspicions were confirmed when she began to notice changes within herself. This led to an almost comical scene: Jill, furious, chasing me through the precinct, with Lisa bursting into laughter at seeing her aunt angrily trying to catch us.

"Daddy, she runs fast, doesn't she?!" Lisa laughed, clinging to my back as I ran to escape Jill's justified anger.

To prevent the situation from escalating, I decided it was time to leave the precinct with Lisa. Thanks to the influence I now had over Irons, I was able to quickly obtain custody of Lisa as well as her identification papers. This allowed me to regularize our situation without drawing too much attention, although Irons was a bit too zealous for my liking.

Once this matter was settled, Lisa, with her big pleading eyes, insisted that we go to the audition for the "Detective Raccoon" series. "Please, Daddy, I really want to try out!" she kept repeating, looking at me with such intensity that I couldn't refuse, even though I had already planned to take her there.

I hadn't had time to find a new outfit, so I came in uniform, albeit reluctantly. Still, Lisa was thrilled to be accompanied by her policeman father. I must admit it had a certain charm, even though my shirt, now a bit too tight around the chest and biceps, threatened to tear with every sudden movement. I had to be careful not to move too quickly, lest my uniform give way under the pressure of my muscles.

We arrived in front of the studio, and Lisa, like the child she is, looked around in wonder. The colorful sets and the life-sized city mascot fascinated her, her eyes sparkling with excitement and curiosity. She stood by my side, almost dancing with impatience, as we approached the entrance.

The audition scene, once inside, turned out to be quite a spectacle. Lisa, small in stature but large in determination, found herself surrounded by much taller children. They were all nervous, but Lisa seemed more intrigued by their size than by the stakes of the audition.

"It's not fair, Daddy, they're all giants!" she whispered, tugging at my sleeve, her eyes shifting from me to the other children.

I crouched down to her level, responding with a teasing smile. "Well, maybe they're big, but you're much cuter. You'll see, it's you who will steal the show."

She furrowed her brow, pretending to be serious. "But Daddy, what if I'm too small?"

I chuckled softly and ruffled her hair. "Listen, sweetheart, size doesn't matter. What counts is your smile, your confidence, and your amazing talent. I'm sure they won't be able to resist a little princess like you."

A smile lit up her face as she straightened up with renewed confidence. "Okay, Daddy! I'm going to show them what I can do!"

I kissed her on the forehead. "That's my girl. Go have fun, and show them who's the cutest of all."

She nodded, her eyes sparkling with determination, and headed toward the audition room with a small, determined step, leaving behind a trail of confidence and childlike charm. As I watched her, a proud smile on my lips, I knew that no matter the outcome, she had already won in my eyes.

What I hadn't anticipated was that the judges saw me with my daughter and offered me the role of the commissioner, even suggesting that I could be the father of the heroine if I accepted their offer.

I asked if I could be informed in advance about the shoots given my work in the police. After agreeing and observing a few scenes to check our acting.

My daughter Lisa and I became actors, a new chapter in our lives that quickly took an exciting turn. Seeing her radiant happiness was a reward in itself. Our first scene, intended to serve as a trailer for the series, turned out to be a memorable experience for both her and me.

The scene opens with Lisa, portraying a resourceful little detective, as she investigates the mysterious disappearance of toys in Raccoon City. She traverses the streets with unwavering determination, her small notepad in hand and a magnifying glass that gives her a serious yet adorable look. The camera follows her as she interviews other children and explores various corners of the city, her expression showing both the innocence and insight of a true detective.

Then, the tension rises as Lisa comes face to face with the mysterious toy kidnapper. The contrast between her small figure and the menacing shadow looming on the wall creates an intense moment of suspense. Just as we fear for her, an imposing figure appears in the background. It's the Raccoon City mascot, a heroic figure with a masked appearance, standing between Lisa and the danger. With a comical yet heroic choreography, the mascot neutralizes the villain, saving the day before Lisa's astonished eyes.

The trailer then transitions to a scene where I am seen dressing up as the very same mascot. The transformation is accompanied by dynamic and humorous music, highlighting the comedic and benevolent side of my character. I look at myself in the mirror, adjusting the mascot head with a knowing smile, ready to protect my little detective.

Finally, the last scene of the trailer shows me in a different light: as the city commissioner and Lisa's father. We see me behind my desk, giving orders confidently, while casting affectionate glances at a photo of Lisa placed on the desk. The camera lingers on my smiling face, hinting at the dual life of my character, both as the police chief and a secret protector of his daughter.

The trailer ends with a scene where Lisa and I share a knowing look, me in uniform and her as a detective, before the title of the series "Detective Raccoon" appears on the screen, accompanied by an upbeat music. This final image, where we are seen side by side, perfectly summarizes the father-daughter dynamic that adds charm to this new television adventure.

After the audition and the success of our first scene, I decided it was time for Lisa to meet other children her age. With Barry's help, I enrolled Lisa in the school where his daughters, Moira and Polly, are also attending.

Before she started, I took a moment to explain to Lisa the importance of being careful with her strength when playing with her new friends. She listened attentively, nodding seriously, although I knew she perfectly understood the situation. Despite her unusual maturity for her age, she remains a child, and I cherish these moments when her childlike side takes over, especially when she is with me.

When we arrived at the school, Moira and Polly, who were already waiting with Barry, ran up to us. Moira, always overflowing with energy, approached Lisa, extending her hand.

"Hi, Lisa! I'm Moira, and this is my little sister, Polly. We're going to have a lot of fun together, you'll see!" she said enthusiastically.

Polly, a bit more reserved, was hiding behind her sister but smiled shyly at Lisa. Lisa, gaining confidence, took Moira's hand and smiled at Polly.

"Hello! I'm Lisa. I can't wait to play with you," she replied with a sparkle in her eyes.

Barry watched the scene with a smile, then turned to me. "Don't worry, Gerald. They'll get along great. I'll take them to class, and they'll be inseparable by the end of the day."

I watched Lisa leave with Barry and his daughters, feeling a wave of pride wash over me. It was another big step for her, and I knew she would be happy to have friends to play and share her days with.

Once assured that she was in good hands, I focused on other aspects of my new life. I collected my salary, which included a generous bonus from Irons, bringing my earnings to $404,000 thanks to a mysterious multiplier I had already noticed in previous transactions. I tested various methods to see if this multiplier could be applied elsewhere, such as scratch cards, casinos, or selling items, but to no avail. It seems that this bonus is reserved for special circumstances, which was a bit frustrating.

To move forward with my projects, I decided to take out a mortgage on the mansion I had acquired. With this money, I bought a warehouse with a vast underground storage space and invested in three small independent tech companies, employing a total of 40 people. As a precaution and to ensure their absolute loyalty, I transformed all my staff with the G-virus.

They retain their free will, except in matters of betrayal, allowing me to manage my affairs securely. I sent the Jordans to the pharmaceutical company with young Wesker and Marcus while assigning Steeve and Pascal to security.

The day ended on a positive note, with the expansion of my personal empire and the certainty that Lisa would thrive in this new environment.

Descending into the underground storage, the atmosphere quickly changes. The dim lighting reveals the imposing shadows of equipment and crates, giving the place a menacing yet thrilling ambiance. The S.T.A.R.S. team follows me in silence, each member displaying expressions of anticipation and concentration.

I first summon the Super Tyrant, and a wave of shock crosses the team. The 15-foot colossus materializes before them, its massive muscles and gray skin imposing immediate respect. It emits a deep growl, its eyes glowing with a predatory light, though it restrains itself, knowing it must not kill me.

"Holy shit," murmurs Chris, instinctively taking a step back. "Is this the Super Tyrant?"

"Impressive," Jill adds, her eyes never leaving the beast. "He's even bigger than I imagined."

Wesker, on the other hand, remains calm, his sunglasses hiding his expression, but I can sense his approval. "This is a creature of raw power... Perfect for intense training."

Rebecca, however, looks a bit more tense. "You want us to train against that?"

I shake my head, smiling slightly. "Not against him. He's for me. For you, I've prepared something else." I raise my hand, and a series of Hunters appear around us, their claws gleaming under the dim lights. "I propose you train against them. They will avoid lethal blows as much as possible, but be careful. You need to improve your skills and reflexes. This world will become increasingly dangerous."

The Hunters growl, their reptilian bodies tensing as they assess the S.T.A.R.S. members. Each of my teammates positions themselves, ready for the confrontation.

As the team disperses, each facing their own Hunter, I move away with the Super Tyrant. Its cruel smile widens as we prepare to face off. "Let's do this," I say, my eyes fixed on it. The Super Tyrant nods and begins to attack me, its movements powerful but measured, aiming to push me to my limits without trying to kill me.

It swings its gigantic fist toward me, and I dodge by rolling to the side, feeling the air split where its blow would have landed. It doesn't give me a break and follows up with a kick, which I barely avoid by jumping backward. Its attacks are precise, calculated, and I understand that it is testing my strength and speed.

I retaliate with a chitin-covered punch aimed at its ribs, but the Super Tyrant blocks it with its forearm, grunting in approval. It immediately counters, and I feel the power of its blow as it lightly grazes me, throwing me backward. I recover quickly, wiping a trickle of blood from the corner of my mouth. "Not bad... But I haven't shown you everything I can do yet."

Meanwhile, I glance at my teammates, each engaged with their own Hunter.

Wesker, with disconcerting ease, dodges his opponent's attacks with surgical precision. His movements are swift, almost invisible, and he doesn't need to attack seriously yet. He seems more toying with the Hunter than anything else.

Joseph, on the other hand, wields his knife with surprising skill. He dodges the Hunter's claws effortlessly, sliding under its blows to retaliate with precise cuts that slowly weaken his adversary. "Is that all you've got?" he says with a smile.

Chris, for his part, uses his brute strength to overpower the Hunter with a series of powerful punches. With each impact, the monster retreats, growling in pain. Chris doesn't relent, forcing it to defend rather than attack.

Jill, showing her own ingenuity, manages to trap her Hunter's claws in a wall. "Not so smart now, huh?" she says, a victorious smile on her lips, as she prepares to counterattack.

Rebecca, however, is struggling. She dodges the Hunter's blows, but her movements are less fluid, more nervous. "Stay calm, Rebecca," she mutters to herself, narrowly avoiding a vicious strike.

I turn my attention back to the Super Tyrant, ready to continue our duel. "Let's continue," I say, getting into position. The Tyrant growls in response, and we resume our fight, each punch and dodge making us stronger and more determined.

(Author's Note: I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I think it's a good interlude for my writing style. The next one will probably focus more on the professional side and experiments, but nothing is decided yet as I write as I go. Thank you for your support.)
