Chapter 38 - Chapter 38: Lemon and Puppets

The three of us get into the car, with Lisa in the backseat, humming cheerfully after the feast we just shared. As I drive, I glance over at Jill, who's quietly watching the road with a slight smile on her lips.

After a few minutes, I decide to make a quick detour to the lab to drop off Lisa. When we arrive, she hops out of the car with enthusiasm. "Daddy! Aunt Jill! I'm going to play with Oscar! See you later!"

I smile, leaning down to her. "Have fun, my princess. Daddy will come get you later."

She waves goodbye before running toward the lab entrance. "Goodbye, Daddy! Goodbye, Aunt Jill!" she calls, disappearing inside.

I gently close the car door and turn to Jill with a predatory smile. "And now, my dear assistant, ready to be devoured?" I say in a deeper voice, letting the ambiguity of my words hang in the air.

I see her blush instantly, her face turning a shade of crimson as she averts her gaze. "You... couldn't choose other words?" she replies, visibly flustered, but a smirk betrays her amusement.

I chuckle softly as I get back into the car. "I think I chose them well."

As I drive, Jill remains silent for a moment, her gaze lost in the passing scenery. Then, in a voice quieter than usual, she finally murmurs, "You know very well I'm never really ready for your surprises..."

I throw her a teasing glance before focusing back on the road. "That's what makes things interesting."

She gives me a sideways glance, then looks away again, a shy smile on her lips. "We'll see if you manage to surprise me this time," she murmurs, her voice slightly trembling with anticipation.

We finally arrive at the apartment, and I can see Jill is still a bit nervous, but a shiver of excitement seems to run through her.

Jill's apartment was bathed in a soft light, subtly warmed by the last rays of the sun filtering through the half-closed curtains. The air was charged with a gentle tension, the kind that precedes important moments, when every gesture and glance takes on new meaning.

Jill, standing in front of the mirror in her bedroom, was adjusting her hair, letting it fall in waves over her shoulders. She had opted for a simple yet elegant outfit, a choice that reflected her unique blend of strength and softness. Her hands trembled slightly, but her face displayed a calm smile, though a bit nervous. She leaned down to discreetly remove the last scattered items from the dresser, as if trying to organize the thoughts swirling within her.

Meanwhile, I was in the bathroom. He had just taken a quick shower, letting the hot water soothe his muscles still fatigued from the intense training at the lab. He looked at himself in the mirror for a moment, taking a deep breath before drying off. The atmosphere was different tonight, charged with silent promises. A slight nervousness lingered within him as well, though he hid it behind his usual confidence.

In the adjacent room, Jill was absentmindedly inspecting the sheets she had just straightened, making sure everything was perfect. Her movements were slower than usual, as if she wanted to savor every second before the moment. She took a long breath, then sat on the edge of the bed, her gaze settling on the door leading to the bathroom. Her thoughts were tangled between anticipation and hesitation, but she knew she was ready.

Deciding that the time had come, I finally stepped out, dressed simply in a towel wrapped around my waist, my hair still slightly damp, stopping for a moment as I saw Jill sitting on the bed. Our eyes met, and a knowing smile passed between us, easing some of the nervousness in the air.

I approached her slowly, my footsteps silent on the floor. Jill turned toward me, her heart beating faster as I closed the distance between us. When I reached the edge of the bed, I joined her, sitting beside her in the hushed silence of the room.

"Lemon Start"

I gently caress her skin, causing shivers of pleasure. I took the time to explore her skin with my tongue nibbling her earlobes before starting to kiss her neck before going lower, running my lips over her flat stomach.

"Gerald, mmmmh" she moaned, pushing my head lower.

Her hands encouraged me to approach her thighs as my fingers gently ran over her slit which began to leak her nectar.

"Please, come" she said, gripping my hair

I smiled at her reactions as I let her guide my head between her legs, I started to use my tongue to tease her femininity but she wrapped her legs around my head wanting more.

"Gerald, I want more" she declared as her breathing became heavier.

3responding to her desires, I began to give her what she wanted, my tongue began to explore her slit which produced more and more nectar until I pressed a sensitive area with my tongue.

"hhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaa" Jill moaned loudly as she arched her back as a massive jet of fluid came out of her body splashing my face.

Jill fell back onto the bed as her legs shook wildly and the sight of small spurts coming out of her slit caused Private King to stand at attention. Jill gasped as she saw my staff in all its glory.

"You want to taste" I said jokingly but Jill began to crawl on the bed to get closer.

I looked at her insistently but just as I was about to enjoy the comfort of her lips, the wall that overlooked my apartment broke.

End of the lemon ^^

I sprang out of bed like a spring, expertly grabbing my boxers and slipping them on in less than two seconds, completely furious. The ground trembled beneath my feet as a massive figure tore through the wall like it was paper. Nemesis, immense and intimidating, made his entrance, his distorted face emerging from the rubble. He had only one word on his lips, like an old mantra he couldn't stop repeating:

"STARS..."

Gérald's gaze shifted from the colossal intruder to Jill, who had already grabbed her clothes and was dressing with lightning speed, a desperate look on her face. Invisible tears seemed to stream from her eyes, as if the much-anticipated moment had just been shattered into dust.

"STARS, my ass!" I yelled furiously. "Damn it, now I've got blue balls!"

Without thinking, I charged straight at Nemesis, fist first. The monster, caught off guard by the speed of the attack, flew backward, crashing not only through the wall he had just destroyed but also through the next one, leaving a trail of debris in his wake.

Jill, half-dressed, stood there, arms crossed, watching the scene with a mix of disbelief and amusement.

"And here I thought we'd finally have a quiet evening," she muttered, adjusting her pants while watching her lover, who was clearly taking out his frustration on the giant brute.

Nemesis got back up, more determined than ever, but before he could even utter his infamous "STARS," Gérald unleashed a flurry of punches. Each blow echoed through the apartment like a drum, and Nemesis seemed completely overwhelmed, shaken like a rag doll by an enraged Gérald.

Jill, watching the scene, burst out laughing despite herself. "Well... at least you weren't lacking strength," she said teasingly, while picking up her top.

"I'm gonna finish you off, bastard!" shouted Gérald, delivering one final blow to Nemesis, who slumped against the wall.

Still laughing, Jill approached, shaking her head. "You know, with that kind of energy, we could have..."

"Don't tempt me!" Gérald replied, catching his breath while casting one last glance at Nemesis, who lay motionless on the floor.

The high-pitched whistle tore through the air, and I turned my head just in time to see a missile heading straight for us. "Shit..." I reacted instinctively, grabbing Nemesis by the leg and hurling him toward the projectile. But the monster crashed down into the street, barely missing the missile.

"Jill!" I shouted, heart pounding. I grabbed her protectively, pulling her to the ground just before the impact, covering her body with mine, muscles tense, bracing for the explosion.

The explosion ripped through the sky with violent force. The blast wave engulfed us in a burning chaos, the windows of the apartment shattering into a thousand pieces, scattering debris and flames all around us. I felt the shockwave hit me full force. My back strained under the impact, every muscle screaming under the pressure, my skin burning where the heat bit into me.

The pain was intense, as if every fiber of my being was tearing apart with each passing second. My regeneration was working at full speed to keep my body together, but the shock made me grit my teeth, my face contorting in pain.

Underneath me, Jill, safe, opened her eyes in panic. "Gérald! Are you okay? Gérald, are you hurt?"

I growled, gritting my teeth to contain the pain radiating through my entire body. "I'm fine," I lied, my voice hoarse. "Stay there... I'll protect you."

Jill tried to turn and look at me, but I gently pinned her down. "Don't move... let me handle this."

The flames crackled around us, the walls of the apartment groaning under the heat of the explosion. I could feel every burn, every strike of the explosion against my back, but I didn't move. My regeneration was kicking in, but the pain was sharper than I expected.

"It feels like you're carrying the world on your back..." Jill murmured, worried but trying to lighten the mood, seeking to reassure me.

I exhaled, managing a faint smile despite the searing pain tearing through me. "Just a bit more than usual, that's all."

As the shockwave of the explosion faded, I slowly stood up, my muscles still tense, my back bruised but healing. I gently let go of Jill, my hands trembling slightly from the lingering pain.

"You're insane..." she said, her eyes filled with emotion as she saw me stand. "I thought you were... Gérald, thank you."

I winked at her, though I couldn't hide the exhaustion in my gaze. "Nothing can hurt you as long as I'm here."

I rushed to the window, my heart racing. Below, a truck proudly bearing the Umbrella logo was loading the half-conscious Nemesis. But what really caught my attention was the chaos that seemed to have gripped the city. The streets were plunged into terrifying disorder. Overturned cars, flames rising from buildings, and distant screams piercing the night.

"Wait... this shouldn't be happening now. Jill's attack was supposed to happen on September 28th... What's going on?"

DING

The sound echoed in my head once again. But this time, the message that appeared before my eyes chilled me to the bone.

Due to the host's growing strength, the timeline will no longer be followed. Other events will occur to prevent the tutorial world from being useless to the host's growth.

I clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms. "Damn it! The Administrator said he wouldn't intervene anymore!"

A new notification appeared, relentless.

The Administrator has been tasked with altering his actions because someone has discovered your potential. Therefore, the rules have changed. In exchange for subjecting you to more challenges, the Administrator has blocked tragic events so that you are present when your loved ones face catastrophes.

Anger surged up in my throat, burning everything in its path. "Fuck... what does that mean? That my family, my friends, everyone is in danger as soon as I leave? That I have to stay close to them while avoiding disasters?"

I clenched my teeth, my thoughts swirling in a mix of rage and frustration. "Is that it, then? I'm just a fucking puppet, given just enough string to avoid choking, but pulled back the moment I stray too far?"

I stopped for a second, breathing hard. My fists were still trembling from the anger. But I pulled myself together.

"No... No, I won't let this stop me from living. Let those bastards play their twisted rules. I'll protect the people I care about, and I'm going to keep living. They want a challenge? Let them come. I'll show them what I'm worth."

(Author's Note: Here's a little update. This is the last chapter before starting the events of RE2 and RE3. I'm going to mix some elements from both the originals and the remakes, so don't feel confused ^^)
