Chapter 33 - Chapter 32: A Guide From Light

Aether felt the powerful energy radiating from within him again, and She used that light to fight the dark shadows that continued to attack them. Every time She radiated light, the shadows retreated, fading for a moment before attacking again. Aether and Remi continued to move, dodging attacks coming from all directions.

The figure on the throne just laughed, the sound of his laughter echoing throughout the room. "You think you can beat me with that little light?" She taunted. "I am the lord of darkness in this world!"

Aether realized that using only light would not be enough to defeat their enemies. They had to find a way to attack the figure directly. However, with the shadows continuing to attack, getting close to the figure seemed almost impossible.

"Remi, we have to find another way!" Aether shouted while avoiding another shadow that almost attacked him. She looked around the room, looking for something they could use against this final boss.

On the other side of the room, Aether saw a large statue depicting a knight with a drawn sword. In the statue's hand, there was a sword that looked different from the others, as if it was a piece of the puzzle. Aether immediately understood that the sword might be the key to defeating the figure on the throne.

"Come on, Remi! Get there!" Aether said while pointing at the statue. The two of them ran towards the statue, trying to avoid the shadows blocking their path. Aether reached out and grabbed the sword in the statue's hand. As she pulled it out, the sword emitted a dazzling bright light, stronger than the light she had previously released.

The shadows around them immediately retreated, seemingly frightened by the light from the sword. Aether held the sword firmly, feeling that this weapon had the power to defeat their enemies.

"Aether, be careful!" Remi shouted as the figure on the throne raised her hand and launched a large attack in the form of a black shadow that hit the floor in front of them, creating a shockwave that shook the entire room.

Aether and Remi jumped to avoid the wave, but the floor beneath them began to crack and break. They almost lost their balance, but Aether quickly pointed the sword towards the figure on the throne, focusing all his strength

"It's time to end this!" Aether shouted with determination. The light from the swords converged, forming a burst of energy that shot straight towards the dark figure on the throne. The figure didn't have time to dodge, and the light hit him with full force.

The dark figure let out an angry scream, its body crashing backwards from the throne. Aether could see the figure beginning to waver, its strength seemingly fading under the pressure of the sword light. "Impossible... This can't be happening!" screamed the figure, his voice filled with fear and anger.

Aether did not waste that opportunity. She ran towards the figure, gripping the sword tightly. "You can't control us anymore!" She shouted as he jumped towards the figure and swung the sword towards its heart.

The light from the sword exploded, enveloping the dark figure in a dazzling bright glow. The final scream of the figure echoed throughout the room before finally disappearing in a burst of intense light. When the light faded, Aether and Remi found themselves standing in a now quiet and bright room. The dark figure had disappeared.

Remi approached Aether with eyes full of admiration. "You did it, Aether! You defeated him."

Aether smiled in relief, but also felt immense exhaustion. "We did it, Remi," She said, taking a deep breath. "But I can't do it without your help."

The two of them stood for a moment, enjoying the calm they had just achieved after a hard struggle. The room now looked brighter and calmer, as if the darkness that had dominated it had completely disappeared.

However, Aether knew that this was not the end of their journey. "We have to figure out how to get out of here," She said, turning his attention away from the empty throne. "There might be a way out somewhere here."

Remi nodded and they started looking around the room. As they approached the throne, they noticed a small door behind it that had not been visible before. The door looked simple, but from behind it came the sound of gentle wind, as if there was another world out there.

Aether opened the door carefully, and they saw a short corridor that led to a bright light. "This must be the way," Aether said hopefully. "Come on, Remi, we have to go."

They walked through the corridor, towards the increasingly bright light. When they stepped out, Aether felt a fresh breeze touch his face. They found themselves on a vast plateau, surrounded by bright blue skies and calming beautiful views.

Remi smiled broadly, her face beaming with happiness. "We made it out! We really made it out, Aether!"

Aether felt a deep sense of relief. "Yes, we did it," he said with a satisfied smile. "We are finally free."

However, before they could celebrate any further, Aether felt something strange around him. She looked down and saw strange symbols carved into the ground around them. "What's this?" She asked himself, feeling the strangeness in the suddenly changed air.

Suddenly, the ground beneath them began to shake, and from the symbols emerged dark light that formed six shadowy figures. The figures stood around them, looking at Aether with sparkling eyes.

"What happened?" Remi asked fearfully.

Aether held his sword tightly, but She felt something different. The dark light from the figures seemed to flow towards him, merging with his body. She felt an extremely powerful force enter him, a force that came from darkness itself.

"I... I can feel it," Aether said quietly, his eyes wide. "This power... This is the power of darkness."

Remi looked at Aether worriedly. "What do you mean, Aether? What happened?"

Aether looked at the shadowy figures calmly. "I think this is the end of our journey here, Remi," She said in a calmer voice. "But this is also the beginning of something new. This power of darkness... perhaps this is what will help me protect us in another world."

With a wave of his hand, Aether controlled his newly acquired power of darkness. The light from the six figures poured into him, giving him extraordinary new powers. The figures disappeared, leaving Aether and Remi standing on the plateau with a new sense of responsibility and power.

"Come on, Remi," Aether said with a confident smile. "We have a new world to explore. And this time, we won't lose."

The two of them stepped forward, leaving the world of Nightmare behind them, heading into new adventures with greater power than before. The world may be full of darkness, but now, Aether knows that she has the strength to face it.

Aether and Remi continued walking on the plateau that seemed endless. The gentle breeze that blew across their faces brought a strange calm, as if this new world they had entered was a peaceful place. However, Aether knew that behind this calm there was definitely something waiting, something they had to face.

The power of darkness that now flowed within Aether gave him a sense of confidence, but also a new burden. She felt stronger than before, but also knew that this power could be a double-edged sword if not controlled well.

Remi walked beside him with lighter steps, although there was uncertainty in his eyes. "Aether," he said slowly, "what do we do now? We're out of that terrible place, but does this mean we're safe?"

Aether shook his head. "I'm not sure, Remi. This world... feels different, but I feel something strong here. Maybe this is just the beginning of our journey."

They arrived at the edge of a cliff overlooking the vast valley below. From where they stood, they could see the small town nestled among the green trees, with the river flowing peacefully through the valley.

"We have to find out more about this place," Aether said, her eyes staring at the city in the distance. "There may be someone there who can help us understand what happened."

Remi nodded in agreement. "But we have to be careful. We don't know what's waiting out there."

They started down the cliff, following the path that led them towards the small town. Aether felt a new power flowing within him, but he also felt that he had to learn to control it. This power of darkness felt like a sharp knife that could hurt if not used properly.

As they approached the city, Aether and Remi could see that the place looked deserted, with a few empty-looking houses and unkempt streets. There were no obvious signs of life, only the sound of the wind blowing softly through the trees.

"How strange," Remi muttered, her eyes sweeping over the scene before them. "Where is everyone?"

Aether felt something was wrong. "Maybe they're hiding, or... maybe something made them leave this place."

They walked through the wide open city gates, towards the city center which was surrounded by old buildings. In the middle of the square, there was a huge statue of what looked like a warrior with a sword drawn to the sky. The statue looked majestic, but there was also something frightening about the expression on the warrior's face.

"There's something strange about this place," Aether whispered. "We must remain vigilant."

Suddenly, they heard footsteps coming from behind one of the buildings. Aether and Remi immediately hid behind the statue, trying to see who was coming. From the shadows, an old man appeared in a long robe and a staff in his hand. His face was full of wrinkles, and his sharp eyes showed that he had been through a lot.

The old man stopped in front of the statue and stared at it blankly. "He's coming again," the man muttered softly, as if talking to himself. "Darkness will soon come. We must be prepared."

Aether and Remi looked at each other. The old man's words reminded them of the darkness they had just faced. Aether felt the need to talk to the man, maybe he knew more about this place and what was going on.

Carefully, Aether stepped out of their hiding place and approached the old man. "Excuse me, sir," Aether said in a soft voice, trying not to startle the man. "We just arrived in this city and—"

The old man turned his head quickly, his sharp eyes staring directly at Aether. "You... aren't from here, are you?" he asked in a serious tone. "You have a different aura... an unusual power."

Aether was silent for a moment, then nodded. "Yes, we came from another world. We were looking for a way to get out of here and continue our journey. Do you know what happened here?"

The old man took a deep breath. "This is a forgotten world," he said quietly. "A world trapped in endless darkness. The people here have long abandoned hope, they only wait for the inevitable arrival."

"Arrival?" Remi asked, her voice shaking. "What do you mean?"

The old man looked at the warrior statue in the square. "The darkness you carry within you," he said, looking at Aether with eyes full of wisdom. "The power you have... it is part of the destiny that will come. But it could also be the key to stopping the destruction."

Aether felt confused. "How? What should we do?"

The old man tapped his cane on the ground. "You must learn to control your power, use it to fight the darkness that is coming. At the end of this city, there is an old temple. There, you will find the answers you seek."

Aether looked at Remi, then looked back at the old man. "Thank you for the help. We will go to the temple."

The old man nodded slowly. "Be careful, children. Great power always comes with great responsibility. Don't let darkness rule your hearts."

With those words, the old man turned and walked away, leaving Aether and Remi standing in front of the warrior statue. They felt that their time was running out, and they had to move quickly.

"Come on, let's go to the temple," said Aether with determination. "Maybe there we can find a way to truly escape this world."

Aether and Remi moved quickly through the quiet streets of the city, heading in the direction indicated by the old man. The city became increasingly gloomy as they got closer to its shores. The buildings they passed looked increasingly old and damaged, as if their occupants had long abandoned them. The previously clear sky began to turn gray, giving the impression that something huge and terrifying was approaching.

When they arrived at the old temple that the old man mentioned, they saw that the building was much bigger and more magnificent than they had imagined. The temple stands on a small hill, surrounded by a dense forest that looks scary. Large stone pillars supported its partially collapsed roof, and above the entrance, a strange symbol gleamed faintly in the gloomy light.

"This temple… feels different," Remi whispered, staring at the large, dark entrance with eyes filled with fear and awe.

Aether nodded, feeling the powerful aura emanating from within the temple. "This is definitely the place we were looking for," She said with conviction. "But we have to be careful. I feel great power here, and I don't know if it will help us or the opposite."

They approached the temple entrance carefully, Aether holding the sword in her hand firmly. As they got closer, the huge stone door slowly opened with a heavy and deep sound, as if welcoming them in.

Inside the temple, they found a large hall filled with statues of angry and frightening looking gods. In every corner of the room, large candles that were almost burnt out gave a dim light that made the shadows on the walls move as if they were alive. In the center of the hall, there was a large stone altar with an ancient book resting on it.

"What's this?" Remi asked in an amazed tone, his eyes glued to a book that looked very old and filled with mystery.

Aether approached the altar carefully, feeling as if each step brought him closer to something very important. She felt a strange chill as he stood before the altar, but he knew that he was
