[I missed a chapter so go read chapter 28 first]
The next day Damon woke up and found Clarke still in his arms, tightly hugged against his body.
He couldn't see her because of the bunker's darkness but he could feel her in his arms.
He also didn't know the exact time, but he assumed it was morning since that's when his body was scheduled to wake up.
Remembering last night when he had finally confirmed his relationship and love with Clarke, he couldn't help but smile.
Living in a tough world was always better when you had someone to love by your side.
Damon let Clarke rest for thirty more minutes before he gently shook her awake.
"Damon," Clarke said in the dark
"Yes?" Damon asked
"Last night was amazing," Clarke said with a small laugh.
"Yes, it was." Damon kissed Clarke on the head before they both got dressed and decided to head over to the waterfall to take a bath and get all of last night's love making off of their body.
After a good relaxing bath, they decided to head back to camp and make sure everything was okay after the hurricane.
"Looks like the storm knocked down quite a few trees." Clarke pointed to a path of knocked-over trees.
"That's the power of a hurricane for you," Damon said before stopping.
"You can come out now," Damon said to no one in particular before looking to his right and up and he saw a black bone mask hidden behind some branches.
The grounder quickly climbed down the tree before walking toward him.
"You have good senses. I'm Lincoln." The grounder named Lincoln held out his hand.
"Damon, this here is Clarke." Damon pointed to Clarke who held out her hand and Lincoln shook it before looking back at him.
"My leader had accepted the meeting. Tomorrow at the bridge at sunrise." Lincoln said before passing him a small map that marked where the bridge was.
"Alright. We'll be there." Damon said while putting the map away in his bag.
"Good because if you're not, things will go downhill, and I don't want that," Lincoln said while remembering the time he had killed a man from the sky when he was just a boy.
This time he wanted peace with the sky people, not death. Death was already everywhere.
"It was good meeting you Lincoln." Clarke waved to Lincoln who nodded before running off into the forest and disappearing from view.
"Well, that went better than I thought it would," Clarke said while looking at Damon.
"Yeah, but Trikru isn't our main problem. It's the other clans we really have to worry about." Damon said before walking back to camp with Clarke.
Walking to the camp's gate the morning guards opened it up for them and let them in.
"We'll that's not too bad," Clarke said while looking at the tree that had crashed into the dropship during the storm last night.
"Not bad at all," Damon said while looking around and spotting everyone picking up everything that had fallen over during the storm last night.
He then went over and met up with Raven who was in the dropship working on making more walkies and even more gunpowder with Jasper.
"How was it last night?" Damon put his hand on Raven's shoulder and squeezed it.
Raven looked back at him and rolled her eyes.
"Couldn't sleep for shit with all of the noise. you?" Raven asked while looking at him and Clarke with a smirk.
"Cough!" Damon fake coughed
"It was alright." Clarke nodded with a straight face making Raven burst out laughing.
"Please I wasn't born yesterday. I can see the sex glow on you two from a mile away." Raven smirked making the two chuckle with some embarrassment before moving on.
"I need you to make more of these." Damon handed Raven the Reaper tone generators and she flipped the switch before turning it off.
"Shouldn't be a problem," Raven said adding another thing to do to her list.
"Thanks Raven. Why don't you take a break and come to the council meeting with us? The Trikru leader agreed to the meeting." Damon said
"They did? Count me in." Raven said before standing up and slinging her jacket over her shoulder.
The three walked into the command tent where they saw Bellamy and Octavia already there waiting while eating some kind of spit-roasted leg.
"What are you guys eating?" Clarke said while staring at the food with shining eyes.
"Spit Roasted Boar that Wells had caught." Octavia took a big bite
"It's delicious." She said with a full mouth making him chuckle at her antics.
"We are here to talk about the Trikru leader accepting the meeting," Damon said making Octavia spit out her food.
"What! When?" She said while wiping her mouth
"Yeah, when did this happen?" Bellamy asked, confused on when any grounders came by.
"When me and Clarke were coming back to camp the grounder we had captured appeared and told us that his leader accepted the meeting."
"That's good. Now we just need them to agree to an alliance and we can live on this land without having to worry about them attacking us." Bellamy said
"Yeah. For our first meeting, we will give them a gift. Bring half of all the Furs and pelts we had collected over the past couple of days. As well as a quarter of our dried food rations." Damon said making the others nod.
This wasn't too much for them and they needed to make a good impression on the Trikru leader.
"Winter is coming though, what are we going to do without the furs for warmth," Raven said as she was usually thinking about the big picture.
"Don't worry. There's a bunker nearby where I know we can find some blankets and even more guns and ammo." Damon said making Bellamy perk up.
He had never gotten past his love for guns.
"That covers that then. On the bridge will only be me and the three generals while a sniper team will be in the surrounding forest in case anything goes wrong.
But under no circumstance are they to fire the first shot. If they do, they will be banished from Skaikru and forced off our territory.
Understood?" Damon said
"Understood." They all said before working the final details out and going off to get ready for tomorrows meet up.
