[Extra Chapter] [Thanks for two hundred power stones!]
"Next time we talk we will be on the ground," Damon said as he shook Jaha's hand.
The rest of the 100 had already been loaded up on the dropship and were ready to go.
"Indeed. Everyone on the ark is counting on you and the 100." Jaha said with a serious face.
He had been keeping the ark alive at any cost his entire life, he would hate to see it fall before they even touched the ground.
"We'll do our best." Damon nodded before walking over to Marcus who always had his serious face on.
"Good luck," Marcus said shaking his hand and Damon nodded.
"Thanks."
Finally, Damon looked at the last person to say goodbye and saw a nervous-looking Abby.
"Calm down Abby, Clarke is a fighter." Damon chuckled as he side-hugged Abby.
"I know but she is still just a kid," Abby said
'Not once she gets to the ground.' Damon thought
"You better keep her safe," Abby said as they separated.
"I will." He looked at them all one more time and waved before walking into the dropship where the rest of the 100 were already waiting.
Taking his seat Damon looked around at the 100 who had been training for years. They weren't the same kids they were six months ago.
Just glancing at them you could see the muscle and power their bodies had built up over the course of six months with the help of the nutrient bags and physical training.
They were as ready as they could ever be before really dealing with the real thing.
Seeing them look a little nervous at finally going to earth for real this time Damon decided to make one last speech before the dropship was launched.
"Here we are!" Damon said causing everyone to look over and listen.
"After one hundred years in space here we are heading to earth. Everything the people of the ark had done to survive was for this very moment!
All the suffering! All the deaths and the floating, it was all so that we could finally go back to the ground!
Our home! Because that's what the ground is, our home! Not the ark, the ark was our prison, our escape but the ground is ours!
The moment we touch the ground we are grounders! And we will do anything to protect our land!
No one can take that from us. This will be hard; you will face darkness you can't even begin to imagine.
Every day will be a fight and a war will constantly rage on in your mind, making you wonder if what we are doing is really the right thing.
You will ask yourself if after everything we've done, do we really deserve to live?
But then you will look to the brother on your right and the sister to your left and you will remember why it is that we do what we do!
We do it for our people! For Skaikru!" Damon roared and the rest of the 100 roared in response shaking the dropship with their voices as they ingrained Damon's speech into their minds.
A speech that would be remembered for the rest of time.
Boom!
The dropship shook and it was launched from the Ark causing it to shoot toward Earth at an astonishing speed.
They were going home.
---------------------------------------------
Damon had expected a rough landing and indeed it was. Thankfully everyone was fine, and no one was injured during landing.
"Hear that? No machine noise." Monty said to jasper who nodded. The only time they never heard no machine noise was when they were inside the VR.
Damon looked to his right where Clarke had been sitting and he could tell she looked relieved to have finally hit the ground.
"Thought we would die in a fiery explosion princess?" Damon chuckled and Clarke looked over at him with a smile of relief.
"Maybe, maybe not." Clarke said before unbuckling her belt and he did the same before climbing down to the first floor where he saw Bellamy already standing near the door.
"Are you sure about this? What if the future you saw was just hallucinations." Clarke asked while Bellamy held the lever ready to open the doors.
"Trust me Clarke." Damon put his hand on Clarke's shoulder and looked into her green eyes and she nodded.
"I do trust you." She said before looking at Bellamy who nodded before pulling the lever down.
Swoosh!
The air rushed in and slowly the drop ship doors went down allowing for the sun to start peeking through.
A second later the entire door was opened, and everyone could see the earth for the first time. The smell of nature, the way the breeze felt against their skin and the swaying of the trees.
The way the entire world shined with color. It couldn't compare to the greyness on the ark. It was like having spent your entire life in constant darkness before seeing light and color for the first time.
Damon heard footsteps and saw Octavia slowly walk forward before jumping onto the earth making everyone freeze as she took a deep breath.
"Were back bitches!" Octavia raised her arms and let out a scream of excitement.
