Chapter 25 - Acid fog 2

[Bonus Chapter] [Thanks for 800 power stones!]

"Acid fog!" Damon screamed in panic wondering what had caused the mountain men to send it out.

"Shit get to the pack quick!" Damon swam as fast as he could with Clarke to the shore but already, he could see the birds flying away over him letting him know that the fog was close.

"The tent!" Damon screamed as he tore the bag open and took the tent out as fast as he could before tossing one side to Clarke.

Looking over he saw the acid fog already reaching the tree line only 50 meters from where they were.

"There's no time!" Clarke said while struggling to spread open the tent's tarp.

"Quick get under it and seal us in," Damon said and he and Clarke lay down on the grass before laying the tarp over them both and sealing all of the holes as best they could when they felt the fog hit the tarp and pass over them.

"Don't move," Damon said while not daring to move an inch.

"What about the others?" Clarke asked

"They will be fine; they all know what to do."

He and Clarke lay under the tarp for a few hours before Damon opened a small hole to see if any fog came through, but none did.

"It's over," Damon said and flung the tarp off of them before looking around.

"Were good. The grounders must have spooked the mountain men somehow." Damon said while helping Clarke up before getting dressed again and grabbing all of his gear.

"Let's get back and make sure the camp is fine. The grounder scout should be here tonight." Damon said while handing Clarke her bow.

He and Clarke ran back to camp and saw everyone was up and moving.

Running past the gate opening that didn't have a gate yet they spotted Bellamy on top of a lookout platform.

"Bellamy!" Damon yelled and looked over before climbing down.

"Where were you two we thought something might have happened?" Bellamy looked at them and made sure they weren't hurt before sighing in relief.

"Just taking a bath near the waterfall spot but I guess the mountain men didn't want us getting clean," Damon smirked, he was happy that everyone was fine.

"Funny," Bellamy said with a straight face.

"Looks like the grounders are making moves. The gate for the wall should be finished before tonight." Bellamy said while looking around at the others who were busy transporting supplies to the builders.

"That's good. We need to talk about our plan for tonight so all three of the generals will meet in the command tent in one hour."

"Sounds good. You two should eat." Bellamy said while pointing over to where they saw Wells handing out a few meat sticks.

"Wells managed to hunt a deer before the acid fog came."

"Good, I'm starving," Damon said before saying goodbye to Bellamy and walking over to the campfire where Wells was cooking the deer.

"Had a good hunt, Wells?" Damon asked Wells who looked over and smiled at him and Clarke.

"Managed to bag a buck right before the acid fog came in. Had to run a mile with the damn thing on my back though." Wells smirked as he handed Clarke and him a piece of meat.

"At least you got a good morning workout in." Damon laughed and slapped Wells on the back.

"Sure did. Speaking of this morning where did you two sneak off to?" Wells looked suspiciously at Damon.

"Wells." Clarke glared at Wells making the boy look away.

"Haha relax Wells you know I would protect Clarke with my life." Damon patted him on the shoulder.

Damon knew that Wells looked at Clarke like his sister and he was very protective of her, if it was any man but him sneaking off with Clarke, Wells probably would have chopped them into mincemeat already.

"You better," Wells said before smiling again and winking at Clarke making her roll her eyes.

"Anyway, I'm going to check on Raven, I'll see you two later," Damon said goodbye to the two before heading over to the dropship to check on Raven and the others.

Walking into the doors of the dropship he spotted something that made him almost drop his food.

Raven was putting Murphy in a chokehold, and he looked about ready to pass out.
