Finally, 15 days later, or 15 hours in real time all of the teams had managed to complete the test though some teams had it far worse than others.
Some teams had to reset 4 or 5 times and their minds had completely collapsed by the end of it.
That's why Damon gave them all a small vacation and allowed them to go anywhere they wanted in the VR world for a few days before everyone finally left the VR world.
They had learned a lot in this cruel test as they realized that even when they thought the human body couldn't go anymore it was actually the mind that was stopping you, not the body.
They also learned that relying on others was something they would have to do to survive on the ground.
After they left the VR world Damon sent them all back to Jaha who had been beginning to worry as they were supposed to only spend 12 hours with Damon not 15 but he took a sigh of relief when he saw them all come out looking okay despite the energy around them feeling different than before.
He once again tried to get his son Wells to talk but no matter how much he asked he wouldn't tell him.
They all felt more mature and stronger somehow, but Jaha couldn't place it.
The 100 spent the next few weeks on the normal schedule before Damon once again decided to start something new for their training.
—-----------------------------------
Damon wore his usual black leather pants with his giant fur coat laying over his muscled body while the 100 kids stood in neat rows and looked at him with respect in their eyes waiting to hear his next words.
After months of spending time together in the VR they all grew closer together and being put in tough situations made them all respect each other's will and drive even more.
They all respected Damon the most as the more they learned about the mysterious young adult the more they realized how badass he truly was.
During the political games they played to learn how to manage political situations, they realized how smart and cunning Damon was.
The way he could force someone to play to his tune without them even realizing it. The way he made someone do what he wanted by making the other person think it was their idea, but it was his all along.
The strength and skill Damon had as he could fight all of them off at once without even breaking a sweat.
The extreme calm he had when facing a hundred blades at once.
The aggression he showed when it was needed and the way he could make even the unruliest of the delinquents fall in line.
No one could garner the respect of all of the prisoners like Damon could. He treated them all with respect and care while looking at them like brothers and sisters rather than just another nobody.
The people on the ark had always been to busy surviving and suffering to ever acknowledge them. Most of what they had ever wanted was a family, somebody to live for.
But when it was illegal to have any siblings and your parents were floated because they breathed the wrong way it was hard to do anything other than lash out in any way you could.
"Today we will begin something new." Damon's calm voice sounded out over the grassy plains filling the 100 with excitement and curiosity at what they would do next.
Even after spending months in the VR, they still found it incredible to this day. It was technology they had never seen before, something that allowed them to experience and learn things they could have never even imagined.
"You've learned how to fight. How to travel through a forest without leaving a trace. How to use the land and your surroundings to your advantage.
So now we are going to do simulated battles with actual grounders." Damon said and the 100 whooped and hollered as they finally got to do some actual fighting with grounders and put what they've been learning to the test.
"Alright calm down." Damon raised his hand with a chuckle, and they quieted down.
'They don't know they are about to get destroyed, hehe.' Damon giggled in his head and couldn't wait to witness the shock these young adults were about to experience.
Did they really think they could go against grounders who had been learning to kill and survive on the ground since the day they came out of their mother's womb with just the few months of training they had received?
"Well do teams of five. In the forest will be a few grounder scouts who spied on you and will be trying to bring that information back to their leader.
Your mission is to stop and eliminate all of the grounder scouts without them being able to deliver any information.
If anyone in your team dies or any of the scouts make it back to their leader alive the test will reset."
"Any questions?" Damon asked and saw a nervous-looking boy raise his hand.
'Why is he raising his hand like this a classroom situation?' Damon sometimes forgot that not all of the people locked up were hardened criminals.
"Yes, Myles?"
"Uhm, will we have to kill the grounders?" He asked shakily and Damon wanted to palm his face while the others burst out laughing.
Myles looked around and his face turned bright red while he tried to disappear to the back of the group.
"I know you guys will have some struggle at first with this but yes Myles, if you want to live then you will have to kill people," Damon said seriously before snapping his fingers and watching as they all disappeared.
"Either you learn to adapt, or you die," Damon said remembering some of the training he had done during the 100 years he had spent in the cryo pod.
