Chapter 9 - Elysium

Six hours later everyone woke up from the VR session and only four hours had passed yet for them it had been four entire days and everyone was a lot closer than they had been before they entered those pods.

Damon led everyone to the gym part of his space station where he made everyone go in groups to rotate out gym equipment.

It had everything you could think of including swimming pools so that the 100 could learn how to swim.

Damon's space station was pretty massive and was actually a separate entity from the ark itself meaning that if he wanted, he could disconnect from the Ark and still survive on his own station almost infinitely if he desired.

He had named the space station Elysium and had made sure that it had everything he would need during the wishing phase of his reincarnation.

Unfortunately, the god had restricted his wishes and the amount of supplies he was given was very limited.

For example, his droids would never run out of battery but the amount of ammo like air burst rounds he was given wasn't more than a few hundred rounds meaning he couldn't waste them.

But it wasn't all bad as his droids could still use regular guns from the ark and they knew how to use all cold weapons including bows.

The droids themselves were the droids from the movie Elysium along with the AKMs they were holding.

As for the Elysium station, well it had a self-sustaining algae farm big enough to feed five hundred people a day forever.

As well as its own water generator.

If everything really did go to fuck all then this space station would be Damon's fallback card.

Finally, Damon glanced around and saw everyone was worn out from working out their bodies, everything from cardio to strength training.

Damon could see that they all looked a lot more energetic than before and it was probably because of the nutrients bag they were all given plus working out just gives you more energy overall.

He let them all have a small break before they moved over to the combat room where there were racks full of weapons of every kind.

"Why are we doing combat training outside of the VR when we can spend a lot more time inside the simulation?" Clarke asked confused on why they wouldn't take advantage of the time dilation within the VR.

Damon saw the others agreeing with Clarke's statement and chuckled cause he would have thought the exact same thing until very recently when he put a bullet in Diana's head.

"Because doing something in simulation is different from doing it in reality," Damon said calmly.

"How?" Clarke frowned confused on how it was any different.

"Punch at Raven," Damon said, and Clarke was confused but still turned around to look at Raven and hesitated.

"That right there. That hesitation of knowing you could hurt someone for real is the problem. The consequences are far more real to you causing you to second guess." Damon explained and Clarke finally understood as she had felt fine going around fighting in the VR but trying to throw a punch at Raven right now, she felt super uncomfortable and even a little scared.

"So, we will learn how to fight in VR, but we will also fight in real life, and you will not have the gift of being healed instantly the next day.

You will have to learn to fight when you're tired and weak. Hardly ever will you be at your full strength and stamina during a fight.

If you can't fight at your weakest, then you can't fight at all." Damon said and the others nodded understanding what he was saying.

"Good! Now find a partner and begin!" Damon screamed and the others quickly found a partner as they knew Damon would beat the shit out of them if they took too long.

They had learned from experience.

Damon watched the 100 spar each other for hours and as of right now, they looked like nothing other than children playing around.

He was fairly certain a grounder baby came straight out of their mother's womb a better fighter than the 102 people in front of him.

The way they fought was like watching an actor perform, they threw punches slowly and hesitantly, lacking any kind of ferocity.

But he wasn't going to push them too hard too fast. It was the first time they were fighting in real life; he didn't expect them to start beating each other to shit on the first day.

He was sure that in due time they would definitely have some savageness in them. The torture he would put them through was already making him smile and giggle like a little girl.

"Why do you get to stand around and watch us do the work? You think on the ground we're going to protect you just because you taught us a little?" A man's voice sounded out causing Damon to break from his thoughts and everyone in the room looked over to see who it was that questioned him.

Though some of them had the same thoughts.

Damon looked over and saw a man he recognized.
