Since visiting Sora's parents, they had started meeting with Ayame on a daily basis. She basically went to play with Sora at his house, it had become a regular part of her routine. She probably spent more time with Sora and his parents than with her parents.
Ayame also wanted Sora and his parents to meet her parents, but she knew the chances were nil. Moreover, would Sora's parents agree? Nonetheless, despite the doubts, she still wanted to give it a shot. However, she did not know how to start.
While she was busy in thought, Sora, who was sitting on his bed next to her, surprised her with a suggestion, "Hey, why don't you come with your parents here one day."
"Huh?" Ayame let out a questioning hum with her mouth agape.
"Why don't you c-" Sora tried to repeat himself, but before he could finish, Ayame interrupted.
"No, no, I heard you the first time, but do you know what you're saying?"
"I do, you don't want to?" he asked eagerly with his ever-innocent look.
"It's not that I don't want to, but uhh, would my parents agree? I mean they're always so busy!"
"Ayame-chan, have you ever asked your parents for something?" This might sound like a rhetorical question but Ayame knew it was from Sora's genuine curiosity considering his relationship with his parents.
He is never afraid to ask for anything from his parents, so he is simply curious as to why Ayame seems so afraid.
"No," seeing Ayame reply with such a straight face, Sora got confused. If she never asked for anything, why does she think she would get denied? That was currently the main question going through his mind.
"How do you know they will deny you if you haven't even asked?"
The question was simple, yet Ayame had no answer. Indeed, she never asked her parents for anything, at least not that she remembers. So why did she think her parents would deny her?
"I don't know… I guess they're always so busy that…. I didn't want to bother them…" Ayame seemed uncertain with her answer.
"So why don't you try for once?" Sora stated with a gentle smile.
"Hmm, what about your parents?"
"I will convince them, hmph!" Sora said while with a pump to his chest.
Ayame softly chuckled seeing him. She wondered how Sora could be so relaxing to be around. When she is with him all her worries just disappear.
"If my parents do agree, when can I bring them?" Ayame was getting slightly hopeful with her parents, Sora's words seemingly working as an encouragement.
"Hmm, good question, just give them my dad's number, and they can talk it out."
Ayame hummed in response.
"Why don't you have dinner here today too?"
"Sure, why not, you're mom's cooking is amazing."
"I agree, hmph!" Sora exclaimed proudly making Ayame chuckle, "I didn't compliment you, dummy."
"Well, same thing, potato tomato." (A/N: XD)
Ayame's chuckle quickly turned into a laugh, "Mhm, same thing indeed."
Soon the dinner was ready and Sora's mom called both of them downstairs with the usual reminder of washing their hands.
They ate while chatting happily, as previously mentioned, Sora's parents and Ayame had gotten comfortable with each other.
After dinner, Ayame and Sora helped clean the dishes. Hana didn't stop Ayame from helping anymore seeing her willingness. After some time, it was soon time for Ayame to go home.
—
Ayame had gone home half an hour ago. Sora, Kato and Hana were in the living room, watching TV, when suddenly Sora asked them something,
"Mom, Dad, can Ayame's parents come here?"
Both Kato and Hana were slightly startled. However, surprising to Sora, Kato soon answered, "Sure, when will they come?"
Sora didn't expect them to get convinced so easily, "What? Were you expecting us to say no?" Kato questioned with a knowing smile and Hana chuckled.
"Yes…"
"Honey, we already made a mistake by judging Ayame just because of some rumours, we won't do the same thing twice," this time Hana responded and Kato nodded agreeing with her.
"Eee! Thanks, Mom and Dad! I love you both!" Sora hugged both of them.
"We love you too, dear," both Kato and Hana gently whispered in unison.
—
Ayame got home pretty quickly, hoping to see her parents and ask them to drop by Sora's house and meet with his parents.
Luckily for her, they were home today, which was pretty rare considering they are mostly busy with business trips.
"Ayame, have dinner with us," Erika, Ayame's mother said with a soft voice. She had fiery red hair and eyes just like Ayame.
"I have eaten at my friend's place," Ayame replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
Jin, Ayame's father, who was next to Erika, had a surprised expression.
"Arashi Sora? Son of Arashi Kato and Arashi Hana?" Erika asked.
"Y-yes," Ayame slightly stammered, 'They already know?! *Sigh* Well, that's expected.'
"Hmm," Erika hummed in response.
After some time, Ayame finally gathered the courage, "Dad," the person in question looked at her.
"I-I have something to ask."
"Go ahead," his voice was on the deeper side, perfectly matching his face. He had dark raven hair with crystal-clear blue eyes that could stare straight into your soul.
"The friend, I mean Sora-kun, he has asked both of you to come and drop by and perhaps meet his parents…. I also wanted to ask the same,"
Jin and Erika's eyes widened, this was the first time Ayame had clearly asked them for something.
