While both of them entered Ayame's apartment, Sora looked around like a curious child, which Ayame found to be quite adorable.
As Ayame kept observing Sora with countless thoughts filling her mind, the person in question analyzed the area.
The apartment was a masterpiece of modern design, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows capturing the breathtaking view of the area.
The artificial lights illuminate the place brilliantly. The expansive living room had soft lights, highlighting the sleek furniture and polished marble floors. The apartment was the epitome of luxury.
As Sora stepped out of the corridor, he found himself speechless. The sheer scale of this place was staggering. This apartment was built with an open concept in mind it seemed. The gourmet kitchen was right next to the living area.
Expensive appliances gleamed on the shelf. Every device was very high-end from the built-in expresso machine to the double-door refrigerator.
A breakfast bar offered a casual spot for dining and perhaps a cup of tea while engrossing in the view.
The formal dining area was made out of a stunning glass table, capable of seating ten people. The silverware were organized neatly on the table with tissue boxes.
Sora's gaze turned back to the living area, and to the flat-screen TV. The sofas appeared to be very comfortable, probably a thousand times more comfortable than his bed.
Leading off the living area, a hallway branched out, leading to four bedrooms, and a dedicated home office with built-in bookshelfs.
Sora didn't know what to say after seeing the whole place, Ayame was quiet the whole time, letting him examine the whole place.
"Is it a bit too much, Sora-kun?" She finally questioned, "Honestly, yeah... You can guess the comparison between this place and my previous place," Sora replied awkwardly.
'I don't need to guess, love. I have been there *cough*' Ayame got reminded of her previous sta- OBSERVATIONAL moments.
(A/N: I wish someone "observed" me like that smh)
"Well, just take your time. There's absolutely no rush in anything, and your room will be next to mine," Ayame said while pointing at a room, "Everything is arranged there, if you need anything don't hesitate to ask me, when I say don't hesitate, I mean it, please tell me if you need anything,"
Sora's face flustered. Even being in the next to her sent a flutter through his stomach.
'Preferably, I wanted him to be in the same room as me. Same room... Uuuu! Even thinking about it makes me shiver! Uuuu, I hope we can do that soon!'
Ayame wanted to give Sora some time to adjust before requesting him to sleep with her(More ways than one)
(A/N: She is a bold one with some sprinkles of shyness. Hehehhee)
"Hmm, it's getting late, let's order something for today," Ayame said while taking out her phone to message someone.
"Anything in particular you want to eat, Sora-kun?"
"Whatever you want, I don't really have that much of an appetite,"
Ayame's face frowned in worry, "Are you sure everything is alright, Sora-kun? Should I contact Dr Sa-,"
"No, no! Ayame, I am fine! It's just that today has been tiring, no need to contact the doctor!"
Ayame just nodded, her worry still lingering.
---
While the food was coming, Ayame decided it was time to address the elephant in the room. Dr Sato hadn't discouraged sharing their past. Emphasizing the importance of positive memories. This would also help her gain Sora's full trust.
"Sora-kun, I will try to tell you everything related to our past. I know you're thinking why I love you. This should explain everything. Though, I will not disclose anything about the darker parts... That's for you to slowly find out," Sora understood what Ayame meant by Darker Parts.
Sora nodded, he was very curious. How does Ayame know so much about him? How did she know about Him being the Dr Sato's patient? Why did she care about him so much? Most importantly, he wanted to know more about Ayame.
"First of all, as you have guessed, we met before high school, when we were still toddlers to be exact... Your parents were...." Sora's eyes slightly trembled, " still alive."
A single tear escaped, travelling down his cheek. Ayame, ever caring, quickly lessened their distance and hugged him while slowly caressing his head, "It's okay to feel sad, shhh" Ayame whispered. "We can take breaks, so tell me if you need it, we have the whole night to ourselves,"
A shaky breath escaped Sora's lips. He appreciated Ayame's understanding. Part of him wanted to know about the death, but his cautious part knew it would be too overwhelming for him. He slowly nodded while still in Ayame's embrace.
