"Yes, you have," Ayame confirmed.
Currently, Sora is very confused like any person would be. Ayame and Dr Sato decided to give him a few moments to process.
"If you're wondering why you don't remember, it's simply another work of Dissociative Amnesia. Your case was very severe, leading to the blockage of a large portion of your memories, especially those in the time frame of the incident," Dr Sato tried to explain.
"Incident? What incident? My parents' car crash?" Sora thought the only incident that could cause such a memory loss could only be that.
"No, Sora-kun, your parents.... didn't die in a car crash," Dr Sato's statement left Sora baffled.
"W-what?! What are hell are you even saying?!" Sora's reaction was normal, but Ayame tried to calm him down, "Sora-kun, calm down, please. Just listen to what he has to say, you trust me don't you?" Ayame's pleading voice managed to calm him down.
"My bad, I apologize for the sudden outrage," Sora said while slightly bowing his head.
"Don't worry about it. Your reaction is totally valid. If I were in your place, I would do the same, so no need to apologize," Dr Sato as always, answered calmly. His demeanour was filled with professionalism.
"T-thank you for understanding... Could you explain your earlier statement? That doesn't make sense, my whole life.... I have known my parents died in a car crash," water droplets started forming while he squeezed Ayame's hand. She gently caressed his hand.
"Before I explain, who exactly told you that?"
"Uhm, it was my uncle and aunt," Ayame's face instantly darkened which Dr Sato did not fail to notice, "They said, my parents and I were going to the restaurant to celebrate my birthday, but on the way a truck hit us, killing them both on the spot, and I survived though barely."
"Hmm, you barely survived right? You should have some sort of scar on your body. You can't come out of something like that unscratched," Dr Sato questioned.
Sora's eyes widened, he never had a scar on his body, except for the ones by his uncle.
Dr Sato seeing his reaction smiled, "Not only that, you could confirm by going to the police station and seeing their records for crashes in that time frame."
Sora nodded slowly, though he was slightly convinced he was still questioning everything he had known until now. What was true? What was false? He decided to put those thoughts aside for now.
"So now, I won't fully tell you the actual incident, you will have to find that out on your own and doing it in one sitting might be too much for you. You need to start with your happy memories before tackling the darker ones. It will strengthen your mental strength.
I suggest you journal your dreams. Like if you ever have any nightmares, just write it down. The nightmare you earlier described is undoubtedly connected with your parent's death, you can think about it but don't overdo it," Dr Sato emphasized his last words.
Sora sank in his chair, what was his past? It was like a blank canvas. What exactly happened with his parents? If not for an accident, was it murder? Dr Sato had said it was connected with his nightmare. That knife, that figure..... Honestly seems like murder.
'Why did uncle and aunt lie to me?' A seed of suspension began to grow in Sora's mind, a seed which Ayame noticed.
Ayame noticed Sora was trembling, she knew he was barely holding himself together.
"It will be fine, Sora-kun. I will be with you through the entire process. No matter how long it takes," Ayame comforted.
Sora glanced at Ayame, his gaze softening. He didn't say anything, just continued to squeeze her hand as a sign of appreciation. Though, he will not forget to question her later, about how she knows he had been here before. But he trusted her, the reason probably for his own good.
If it had been any other person, he would have been hesitant. But Ayame.... She was different. His instinct told him to trust her. She will be the only one he could trust.... and love.
A mysterious glint passed through Sora's eyes as he glanced at her, which Ayame failed to notice.

Sora and Ayame were finally out of the doctor's room. They were currently on their way to Ayame's car.
As soon as they reached the car, Sora's eyes widened. It was a Rolls Royce! Weren't those hella expensive?
"Ayame..... I don't want to be rude, but how can you afford this car?"
"Oh, that? Well, my family is well off," She smiled mischievously.
'I feel like that's an understatement... But it shouldn't matter to be, whatever she is, I'll be with her,'
Both of them got into the car, the driver was already present in the car. Sora felt uncomfortable in the car, what if he broke something? He couldn't pay it back in a hundred lifetimes.
"I know what you're thinking Sora-kun, just relax," Sora awkwardly smiled while he looked at his watch, seeing the time, he panicked. His curfew was before 4 pm, it was 6!
"Ayame, I am late! I was supposed to go back to my house before four!" He exclaimed.
"Don't worry, we aren't going to your house. I can't let you go to that house," Ayame's voice solemn.
"Huh?! My uncle, he will-"
"I know Sora-kun, I know, that's precisely why I am not taking you there! I know you will ask how I know about your family situation, I will explain it later, I was about to confess about this matter earlier, but that breakdown...." Ayame's face was full of worry, "Anyways, from today on, you will be living with me. I know this is sudden, but you will understand later."
Sora was speechless, bombshells from left and right getting dropped on him today, but this one left him flustered, 'L-living with Ayame?' his face started heating up even thinking about it.
Could he survive living with her? Both of them under the same roof? His heart started hammering against his ribcage with a strange excitement.
After some time, Sora finally calmed down, "Ayame, I am not sure what you're talking about, but fine. I'll go with you. I hope you explain it to me. I am already confused with what's happening. I might blow up."
He was honestly surprised about accepting it so easily, shouldn't he have asked more questions? Why did he listen to her so easily? Shouldn't he be scared of his uncle and aunt? Why did all the fear go away with her by his side?
"Of course, Sora-kun. I will explain everything. Though, I will do it slowly. To let you process it," Ayame was happy he accepted it so easily, she thought it would be harder.
"You trust me an awful lot, don't you Sora-kun?"
"I mean yeah, I honestly don't know why I trust you so much. I have known you for around one year now, I didn't know I could trust someone so much in such a short period,"
Ayame smiled and also internally chuckled at him mentioning the one-year. Oh boy, what will he do when he finds out?
'Will he feel the same when he finds out about my true self? My stalking habits? Will he accept me? Or will he get creeped out?' Though her concerns were valid. But Sora wasn't normal in the slightest.
Unbeknownst to both of them, his love for was was slowly growing into something more twisted, perhaps it might even tackle Ayame's obsession with him.
