*Sigh* What the hell is happening? From Ayame-san talking strangely, to this weird nightmare I had. Questions filled my mind, but no answers. Perhaps….. Were those figures linked to Ayame-san's troubles? No, no, no. There's no way that's the case! I am probably just overthinking it.
I tried to ignore these thoughts, yet the feelings remained like an itch, I couldn't scratch. AGH! Come on dumb brain! Just shut up, and do the chores! I forced myself to focus, thinking I could ask Ayame-san at a later date when she decided to open up herself.
Soon enough, I finished my chores and ate my breakfast. All things aside, I am excited for today. It's a pity I forgot to mention walking to school with her, but maybe tomorrow!
With newfound determination, I got dressed up and went towards the door.

The morning air greeted me as I stepped outside, the chirping of birds calming me down from the anxieties swirling in my head.
After walking for a bit, I soon reached the place where I last parted with Ayame-san, and soon realized there was someone… Wait…. Ayame-san?!?!?!
"Oh, hey, Sora-kun!" She seemed surprised, but her eyes had a mysterious glint, "what are you doing here, Ayame-san?"
"Why? I can't be here?" She asked while smiling brightly, momentarily distracting me from my confusion, "N-no, I didn't mean that," I stammered, "It's just I have never seen you here at this time."
Now that I think about it, why haven't I seen her at this time until today? From the distance of our home, we should meet pretty much daily while going to school.
"Probably just coincidence~" She replied with a hint of mystery in her voice, , "Perhaps I tried a new route today?" Her words were filled with vagueness, but her teasing nature calmed my initial confusion.
"Ah well… Whatever…. Let's start walking," She nodded, and both of us resumed walking. "To be honest…. I meant to ask this yesterday, but forgot," I revealed, "Ask what?" She questioned.
"Both of us going school together…." Hearing that, she smirked, and continued, "Aww, you're very cute Sora-kun,"
"Ehhhh!" Now this is embarrassing,
"Also, I feel the same," She replied seeing my burning face, "let's do this every day, ehehehe~"
"Hmmm," Though it was a low hum, it held a newfound happiness blossoming inside me.
We chatted happily while walking in sync.
She teased me every now and then, which made my heart flutter. I tried to retort sometimes, but it was me in the end who was flustered. But I was enjoying this, it was strangely calming, it made me happy, made me feel alive like never before.
This suddenly made me remember something,
"Uhm… Wanna have lunch t-together, Ayame-san?" I asked timidly, barely audible, "Of course, Sora-kun, you stole the words out of right my mouth, ehehe~" She replied with a dazzling smile, making me happy at my successful attempt, "Also, don't buy any food today, I made a…. Bento for you," It took me a moment to process what she said, but when I did, I averted my gaze from her, so she couldn't see the silly grin on my face, and slowly nodded. Though I was looking away, I could feel her smiling at me.
Until now, I have only eaten food made by me, or the cafeteria. So, this is the first time in a while I am eating someone else's cooked food, my girlfriend's no less! I was looking forward to lunchtime even more now.

I did not fail to realize Sora-kun was looking a bit down today, I wanted to ask why, but I refrained, thinking it would make him uncomfortable, I am sure he will tell me when he gets more comfortable with me.
But currently, Sora-kun has a rare genuine smile on his smile. The culprit? It's none other than me. That makes my heart leap! Sora-kun is happy because of me! What greater achievement could I ever achieve? Nothing.
I have made the bento keeping in mind all the nutrients and all of his favourites, which I know he loves. But still, will he like it? I am a perfectionist, especially when it comes to Sora-kun. Well, let's try not to overthink it, even if he doesn't like it, I will do better next time.
I forced myself to push that thought away and continued admiring my darling's face. Ah~~ That always calms me down, it's not fair Sora-kun! Why are you so hot?! Hmph!

Ayame-san seems to be staring at me while breathing heavily, "Are you ok, Ayame-san?" I asked worried about her health,
Flustered, she stammered, "H-huh?! Y-y-yeah! I am fine!", It was quite cute to be honest, "If you say so… But do tell me if you have any problem."

Soon enough, they arrived at the school gate. While entering, they saw the cherry blossom tree. Sora and Ayame's expressions eased at the same time while reminiscing about the confession. The cherry blossom tree looks beautiful as always, petals flying around, branches swaying in a rhythmic motion. The sight could make even the toughest of hearts admire it.
