Neon lights flickered in Shendong Street, crowded with various Sun Jacks, wearing different uniforms—some from BCPD, some from Breeding Factory, and others from Micro-course Medical, even including white hospital gowns.
In the heavy rain, they either stood or squatted, looking at the two Sun Jacks at the entrance of Utopia.
The Sun Jack who had originally returned now had a new original body. If this matter wasn't clarified, the Clones wouldn't know whose consciousness to overlap with.
"Oh yeah! Hello there~! Guys~! Real or fake Sun Jack, another wave of traffic coming, another wave to earn," the heartless Old Six excitedly started a livestream in the crowd, only to be punched by a Sun Jack Clone nearby.
At that moment, the Sun Jack in a suit looked at Tapai and then at the Sun Jack behind him, "Tapai, can you explain what this means?"
Sun Jack spoke before Tapai could. "What does it mean? It means you're the fake, you're a counterfeit clone made by FFP! I am the real Sun Jack, they are trying to control the entire Metropolis through you!!"
With that, Sun Jack shared all his memories about FFP with the Clones, holding nothing back.
Upon witnessing everything that happened in Prison Number 3, all Sun Jack Clones turned their heads to look at the suit-clad Sun Jack.
The suit-clad Sun Jack smiled, lighting two cigarettes and putting them in his mouth, "Tapai, can you explain what this is all about?"
Sun Jack also patted Tapai on the shoulder, "Right, Tapai, tell everyone, tell him that I am the real Sun Jack."
However, facing the gaze of both Sun Jacks, Tapai silently walked to the side, "In fact, I can't tell either of you apart either; I have checked both of your memories, and both of you are real."
"What?!" Sun Jack looked stunned at Tapai in front of him, almost thinking someone else was talking to him. "Damn it? You can't tell? You can't tell and you still saved me?"
"Because although I can't tell, you still had a 50% chance of being the real Sun Jack, so I had to save you. After saving you, then I could figure out who was real and who was fake between you two."
"Bosses, both bosses, stop arguing," a few members from AA stepped forward, trying to mediate. "Since everyone is Sun Jack, then everyone is on the same side; let's all just get along from now on."
"We're not the same thing!" Sun Jack pushed away the hand of the AA member, his right hand sharply pointing at the suit-clad Sun Jack.
"Don't you guys get it? FFP knew that the cost of opposing me directly was too high, they didn't dare to make a move against me openly! So they resorted to these desperate measures, using a fake Sun Jack to vie for the legitimate rights to the Sun Jack IP!"
"If FFP succeeds, from now on, Sun Jack as a symbol of revolution, whatever he says, does, or even thinks will all be dictated by them!"
Facing the aggressive approach of the other, the suit-clad Sun Jack suddenly laughed, "I'd like to ask you something then, according to your theory, if I were really a fake, I should have already begun causing destruction long ago, right? Then why, under my leadership, has the Metropolis not only not fallen apart but actually flourished?"
"If I'm not the real Sun Jack, then why would I do this? If I'm not the real Sun Jack, could it be you?" The right hand of the suit-clad Sun Jack pointed back at him.
"On the contrary, I now have to ask you, an Sun Jack who mysteriously escaped from an FFP prison, how can you prove you are the real one and not a fake Sun Jack sent here to tarnish the Metropolis? The accusations you've leveled at me, turn them back on you, and they hold equally true yet your credibility is far lower than mine."
Sun Jack grew tired of the pointless talk and got straight to the point. "Do you dare to pull out your memories? Let's inspect them in front of everyone!"
"Damn right, I dare, why wouldn't I?" Suit Sun Jack immediately reached behind his neck and pulled out three data cables.
As the two Sun Jacks walked towards each other with impassive faces, they raised the data cables and thrust them into the slots at the back of each other's heads. As the viewing permissions opened up, both of their memory data were displayed unabashedly before all the clones.
However, after inspection by over ten thousand Sun Jack clones, they found that both sets of memories were absolutely correct, without a single discrepancy. For a moment, everyone was unable to determine which Sun Jack was real and which was fake.
"Find Xiao Ting!" both Sun Jacks said in unison.
With a disgusted face, Xiao Ting looked disdainfully at the two Sun Jacks, "Damn it, am I your damn dog? Do I have to come whenever you call?"
But when she saw both Sun Jacks clench their fists, Xiao Ting eventually yielded to the force.
Under the surveillance of Tapai, she conducted a deep inspection of both Sun Jacks' memories, searching for any possible signs of tampering.
However, after a lengthy two hours, she commanded her Headless Puppet to move away from them and said, "There's nothing, neither of you has been tampered with or altered in any way, both are Sun Jack regardless of truth or fiction."
"How can this be?" Sun Jack furrowed his brows, staring intently at Suit Sun Jack. Suddenly he spoke, "I know now."
"You know what?" Tapai asked.
"Perhaps the FFP's memory alteration techniques are superior to Xiao Ting's, which is why she couldn't detect anything, like the previous incident where their spacecraft carrier blocked the Sky-base Weapon's lasers."
"What do you mean superior memory alteration techniques? I am Sun Jack! You're the impostor!" Suit Sun Jack could no longer stay seated.
"You're not, you are just a vessel. Though I don't know what FFP wants to do, they intend to use your false perception to execute some scheme."
"Enough! I've tolerated you for a long time!" Suit Sun Jack quickly transformed his right hand into a gun barrel and fired two shots at Sun Jack. "You just spew out lies! If that's the case, I can just as easily hurl the same accusation at you."
As flames spread, Sun Jack leapt away, and as he lifted his right hand, a Laser Rod rolled through the air from afar, landing securely in his palm.
With a powerful grip on the rod in both hands, Sun Jack swung it fiercely towards the other's head.
"Stop fighting, I understand now." Tapai's words instantly made both Sun Jacks halt.
"Looking at your argument, I just realized something. Since you both perceive yourselves as Sun Jack, why are you fighting each other? Shouldn't you be teaming up to take down the FFP instead?"
