Scotland, Edinburgh.
A classical manor nestled atop lush mountains, surrounded by towering red pines, with a crystal-clear freshwater lake amid the woods reflecting the clouds and sunlight like a mirror.
Although the emergence of the Tree of Life had begun an era of global evolution, most cities on Earth did not experience the Land of the Departed; these places remained aloof from Transcendent conflicts and were free from life-threatening and natural disasters, life for people had not changed much from five hundred years ago.
But there were exceptions.
A helicopter swept across the mountain's waist and landed on the manor's helipad. An elderly Prophet, dressed in a neat suit, jumped out of the cabin and said to an approaching subordinate, "I need to see the leader. Arrange it immediately, tell them something big has happened."
