Walking through the beautiful city using the headlights to navigate himself, Michael sighed once again. Holding his umbrella, he smiled. "I'm in downtown…" he thought to himself, continuing through the city. Meanwhile not far from him across the street in the stormy night sat Alex, who was still trying to get used to the new environment he was living in. Michael, looking at the colourful buildings, smiled. "This would be a nice picture Kevin would like. I remember that time when he was talking about some random imaginary friend that lived through the gates of Crystal City…" Suddenly, another headlight flickers right behind Michael, revealing a nursery where he used to live. Picking up a newspaper from the ground, he saw the front headline which was of him and his friends. Suddenly, a memory from the back of his head came to mind.
It was an old portrait he had in his storage closet 7 years ago, including Kevin, Samantha, Michael, Gerald, and Alex. Putting down the newspaper gently in the rain, he walked into the lively nursery, looking for something to eat or drink late at night. Walking in, he looked at the playful environment on the walls. Smiling, he folded up his umbrella and started to walk to the counter where a old woman named Miss Hailey sat. Digging the last few dollars he had in his pocket, he set it out. "Can I have a Sprite?" he asked politely. Pouring the drink, Hailey smiled. "I haven't seen you in a minute, child. It feels like a sea of fame is crossing over the city, and Team ENTITY continues to sail in it!" Michael smiles. "Hm. I never had any intentions on being famous, though… I just like helping people along with my friends." he muttered, taking the drink and grinning politely before sitting on the couch. By the couch sat a TV that continued to play the news and replays of the Great Dune Dash, which Michael hadn't wanted to see. Plopping down onto the couch, he had accidentally landed onto someone's legs while feeling the strong sensation of the carbon inside the Sprite. Throwing his drink up in surprise, it had gotten all over his shirt! Looking down at the person who had caused this, he scoffed. "Alex? You're here?" Waking up silently, Alex glared at Michael, then looked back at his watch. "What do you want, twerp?" he asked, flipping the pages of a book that Michael couldn't properly see. Sighing, Michael dug deeper onto the couch, getting more comfortable. "Alex…? Didn't I see you in Death Desert?" Smiling, Alex adjusted his glasses that were stuck in his untreated, curly hair. "Yeah. When Team ENTITY left Embercliff for the World Summit, they encountered me. After our meet up, I asked if we could form an alliance, and that's how I'm in Team ENT-" Michael held his head tightly. "Hold on - you're in Team ENTITY?" Alex sighed. "Shit. This is exactly why you're the only guy I didn't miss! You still think I'm that same kid that roamed the city 7 years ago!"
Michael sighed. "So what if I do? Word has it that you aimlessly went up against Gaian, took on half of the Romanti Clan alone, sailed the seas with just a rowboat to Trila, and we all know how that ended up, and sneaking into Hazel's territory !" Alex growled. "I may have been stupid back then, but I left for a reason! I would've joined Team ENTITY if my departure wasn't so sudd-" Smoking her last cigarette in her pack of 24, Hailey sighed. "Boys, stop fighting. I remember you from the time you two were babies, along with Kevin and friends. There's no need to quarrel about something that almost took place a decade ago!" Alex smirked. "Miss Hailey, would you consider telling us who was the smarte-"
"Not a chance, ding dong. You two are still equally dumb as before!" Refilling Michael's sprite, Hailey walked over to the table by the couch and TV. "It's almost 2 AM, boys. You should be getting to bed."
Standing up from the couch, Michael walked upstairs to his room, thinking about the past events brought on him 7 years ago. What was the beef Alex and Michael had now, and would it be concluded anytime soon?
