AURELIA'S POV:
"What's going on here?!!" Gia asks in a trembling tone that tears my heart to pieces.
"How dare you act obtuse?!! You put me in this position, and now you dare to deny it?!" The waiter screams at Gia, and my mouth hangs open in shock.
What the hell is happening?!
"I don't know what you are talking about!!" Gia says as she takes a fearful step backwards.
"You called me! You told me to poison the lady! You threatened to harm me and my family if I didn't do as you said!!" The waiter screams at Gia, whose mouth hangs open in shock.
Tears roll down my eyes in torrents, and I refuse to believe the words I'm hearing. No. Just no. Gia wouldn't betray me like this!! She's the only one who has been with me right from the beginning of this whole situation.
"I didn't — I didn't call anybody!!" Gia says, trying to defend herself when Alessandro turns his cruel gaze on her.
