"Breaking news. The serial killer who is famously known as 'Shadow' and is said to be the great-great grandson of Jack The Ripper has escaped from prison and is on the loose. The police are currently on the case. They better find him soon or else we're all doomed. Moving on from that the WSA awards are...."
"Okay, let's start from the beginning. How did he escape the world's most secure prison!!" asked the director in anger. "We don't even know." responded the warden. "Arrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhh, you better find him or you're gonna lose your job." shouted the director. With a frown, the warden nodded. Just then a cadet entered the room with some envelopes in hand. "Letters, letters get your letters." he screamed. He then proceeded to share them. "This is David's. This is Rebecca's and this, this is for all of us." he said studying the envelope. "What do you mean it's for all of us?" shouted the director. "I mean it's for us. There's no name, no address and just says to all the cops." answered the cadet. The director walked towards the cadet and snatched the envelopes. he opened it, read the first line, and gasped in astonishment. "It's from him." he shouted. "Who director?!" questioned the cadet. "Who else do you think? It's the serial killer." he answered. He tore open the envelope, took out the letter inside, and began to read.
"DEAR POLICE,
AS THE WHOLE CITY KNOWS I HAVE ESCAPED FROM PRISON AND YOU ALL KNOW THE CHAOS I CAN CAUSE SO LET'S PLAY A GAME. CHOOSE TWO OF YOUR BEST DETECTIVES. FOR THE NEXT TWENTY-ONE DAYS THEIR TASK IS TO FIND ME. IF THEY FIND ME EVERYONE'S SAFE IF THEY DON'T THEN IT'S OVER FOR YOU ALL. EVERY DAY THAT PASSES WITHOUT THEM FINDING ME SOMEBODY FROM THE OFFICE DIES. TO GIVE A HEADSTART THIS IS MY LOCATION. 69 LANE 420 STREET THIS TOWN. THE GAME BEGINS TOMORROW"
After reading the letter to the hearing of everyone in the office they turned to each other and began asking themselves the same question" So who's gonna do it?" "QUIET!!" shouted the director."Set a meeting with both of them. Tell them to meet me in my office in twenty minutes." he added. "Yes sir." replied the cadet. About fifteen minutes later the cadet entered the director's with a tall good-looking man. He entered and greeted him. "Where's she?" asked the director. The cadet was about to explain and then a woman barged in. "I'm over here sir." she said as she entered the room. "Bernice would you mind taking a seat." said the director. She sat down beside the man without even looking at him. The director then began talking. "As we all know, your friend the serial killer has escaped from prison." They both nodded. He then continued what he was saying. "He sent us a letter today stating that we should send two of our best detectives to find him in the next twenty-one days or he's going on a blood-spilling bender." He then took a deep breath and looked at them. "That means..." he said taking a deep breath. "You two have to work together." They looked at each other and then back at the director. Just then the man stood up with anger. "NO!!" he blurted out. "Not again." he added. The director then stood up and shouted at him. "JAMES JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN'T FORGIVE SOMEONE FOR SOMETHING THEY DID TO OFFEND DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO PUT THE LIVES OF HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE IN DANGER!!!" With fury in his eyes, James stood up and stormed out of the room, and went to his office.
A few hours later the cadet who was sharing the letters walked towards James' office. "May I come in?" he asked. "Yes you may." he answered. The cadet then starts talking. "Sir please I'm here to tell you that you're my inspiration so I'm stoked that you're going to cover this case is amazing so thank you for motivating me." James got highly motivated hearing this and returned to the director's office. "Sir I'm in but I'm going to work with Bernice as a partner and not as a friend." Hearing this the director nodded and smiled.
