Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: I am the problem

It was a regular school day, and Charmel was seated at her desk, engrossed in her studies. The classroom buzzed with the background chatter of students and the soft sound of pencils scratching against paper. Charmel was intently focused on the assignment before her, her hand moving swiftly across the page as she worked on a particularly challenging math problem.

As Charmel worked through the problem, she encountered a stumbling block that left her feeling stuck. The numbers and equations seemed tangled, leading her down a mental dead end. Frustrated, Charmel couldn't help but vocalize her predicament.

"I see," she muttered to herself, a hint of annoyance in her voice. "The answer is... I also have a problem."

Charmel's muttered comment caught the attention of a group of students nearby. They overheard her struggle and couldn't help but chuckle.

"Hey, Charmel, need a hand with that problem?" one of the students asked, a teasing smile on their face.

"yeah, please" Charmel, grateful for the offer, shared her problem with the group. They huddled around her desk, offering suggestions on how to approach the issue. After a few minutes of collective brainpower, Charmel suddenly had a breakthrough.

"Ah, I got it!" she exclaimed, triumph in her voice. "I just needed to look at it from a different angle."

With a few quick calculations and explanations, the student guided Charmel through the steps to solve the problem. Charmel listened attentively, her expression easing as clarity returned to the puzzle before her.

"Oh, I get it now!" she exclaimed, a smile of understanding lighting up her face. "Thanks for the help! My brain can be a bit chaotic sometimes."

"No worries, we all have those moments," the student reassured Charmel, returning her smile. "Just remember, when you're stuck, don't hesitate to ask for help. We're all in this together!"

Charmel took a deep breath, now confident in her ability to tackle the remainder of the assignment. She thanked the student once more before returning to her work, the math problem now less daunting than before. The classroom chatter slowly faded into the background as Charmel immersed herself in her studies, the once tangled numbers now aligning into neat, calculated solutions.

Chika glanced up from her phone, a flicker of surprise evident in her eyes. She quickly composed herself and returned the smile. "Oh, hey, Charmel. What's up?"

"I'm hungry"

Chika raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Charmel's statement. "Hungry? Didn't you have lunch earlier? Are you still feeling hungry?"

"Chika!"

Charmel's exclamation caught Chika off guard, her eyes widening with surprise. "What's going on? Why are you yelling my name?"

"I d-don't know"

Chika observed Charmel's sudden outburst, her confusion deepening. "You don't know? Is everything okay?" she asked, concern evident in her voice.

As the bell echoed throughout the hall, signaling the end of recess, Charmel and Chika began making their way to their classroom. The corridor was filled with students hurrying back to their classrooms, blending into a sea of uniforms and chatter.

"Ah, guess recess is over already," Chika remarked, a hint of disappointment in her voice. "Time sure flies by quickly."

Charmel nodded in agreement, her gaze trailing behind some students who were engaged in animated conversations. "Yeah, it does," she replied, her thoughts momentarily drifting. "I hope our next teacher is in a good mood today."

"But I'm hungry" Charmel glanced at Chika, noticing the hint of irritation in her friend's voice. "Oh, right, you mentioned being hungry earlier. Here, I have an idea." Charmel rummaged through her backpack and pulled out a granola bar, offering it to Chika.

"Thank you, please marry me" Charmel said playfully. Chika quirked an eyebrow at Charmel's playful proposal. "Marry you? For a mere granola bar? Hmm, I'll consider it," she teased, a small chuckle escaping her lips as she accepted the snack.

The remainder of the school day passed by quickly, with Chika and Charmel engrossed in their classes and various activities. Afternoon quickly turned into sunset, casting a warm glow through the windows of the school. Students began gathering their belongings, signaling the end of the school day. Charmel and Chika, along with Leo and Kai, joined the flowing crowd of students and teachers exiting the building.

"Ah, finally, school is over," Leo declared, stretching his arms overhead, a contented sigh escaping his lips. "Time to relax and unwind."

Kai nodded in agreement, a small smile playing on his lips. "Agreed, those classes were tiring."

"And also I can't wait to upcoming summer Vacation" Charmel said

"Summer vacation!" Leo's eyes lit up at the mention of summer break. "I can't wait for it either. No more classes, no more homework. Just pure relaxation and fun."

Chika smiled as well. "Yeah, summer vacation is always a much-needed break. What are your plans for the vacation?"

"I plan is 8:59-10:59 am reading manga, at 11:59-12:59 pm eating, 1:00-6:59 pm watching anime, 7:00 pm-4:59 am gaming and 5:00-7:59 sleeping" Charmel said scheduling her plan on summer vacation

The group laughed heartily at Charmel's detailed summer vacation plan. They appreciated her organized approach to her break, though they couldn't help but tease her a bit.

"Sounds like you have your days planned down to the minute, Charmel!" Leo chuckled. "No room for spontaneous adventures or unexpected surprises?"

Chika squeezing Charmel Cheek "Charmel did you remember Auntie Sophia said to you the condition?".

Charmel was momentarily startled by Chika's sudden squeeze on her cheek, her thoughts interrupted. The mention of Sophia's condition brought a faint blush to her cheeks.

"Ah, yes, I remember," Charmel said, a mix of embarassment and resolve in her voice.

"Mom mentioned I must maintain your room's cleanliness and tidyness , I'll need to prioritize your studies and responsibilities."And lastly if mom cought me late at night playing video games and didn't sleep she will take all of my hobbies"

"That's right," Chika added, her expression turning serious. "You need to keep your room organized and focus on studying and your responsibilities. And if you're caught up late at night playing video games, you know the deal - Your Mom will take away all your favorite hobbies."

Charmel nodded in agreement, feeling a mix of determination and slight annoyance at the restrictions. "Yeah, I know. It's not exactly the most exciting way to spend summer vacation, but I'll do my best to manage it. Can't risk losing all my gaming and reading privileges."
