Hours passed by, and soon enough, the school day ended. Students poured out of classrooms and into the hallways, eager to go home and enjoy their weekend. Charmel, Chika, and Kai were no different, walking together toward the school entrance.
"So what are your plans for the weekend?" Chika asked, trying to make conversation. "Any interesting hobbies to keep you entertained?"
Kai laughed quietly, remembering what had happened earlier. "Yeah, Charmel, any plans to fill your empty time?"
"why this idiot keep following us?" Charmel pointing on kai
Chika looked at Kai with an annoyed expression.
"I don't know, Kai. Why are you following us?"
Kai shrugged.
"I don't know, I thought we were all friends. Besides, I have nothing better to do."
Charmel rolled her eyes and kept walking.
"Whatever," she said. "I don't care."
Chika shook her head and followed after Charmel.
The three of them continued walking through the school gates and onto the street outside.
"So, do you two have any plans for the weekend?" Chika asked again, trying to break the awkward silence.
Charmel shrugged.
"I don't have much to do. All my hobbies were taken away by my mom."
Kai laughed.
"Yeah, I remember when you were crying about that earlier. That was funny."
Charmel glared at Kai.
"Shut up, idiot."
Chika rolled her eyes "God, you two are so annoying. Can't you just get along?"
Kai and Charmel both glared at each other but didn't say anything.
Chika sighed "Fine. I'm going home. See you guys later."
Chika turned and walked away, leaving Kai and Charmel standing there together.
"See you later," Charmel said.
Kai grunted in response, and they both stood there awkwardly for a moment before Charmel finally broke the silence.
"I'm also going now" Charmel said
Kai nodded "Yeah, I should go too. I actually have plans tonight."
He looked at Charmel and smiled suggestively.
"What about you? Any plans for tonight?"
Charmel shook her head.
"No, I don't have anything to do. I'll probably just stay at home and watch TV."
Kai smirked.
"That sounds boring. Why don't you come with me? I have a party to go to tonight, and you're welcome to join me. I'm sure it'll be fun."
"no, thank you"
Kai looked a bit disappointed, but he tried to hide it.
"Oh, come on. It'll be fun. There'll be music, drinks, and lots of people there."
Charmel hesitated for a moment, but then she shook her head.
"I don't really think that's my kind of scene. I'm more of a low-key, stay-at-home kind of person."
Kai raised an eyebrow.
"Seriously? You're going to turn down an invitation to a party just to stay at home and watch TV?"
"human are disgusting sh*t" Charmel said staring at kai eyes with turn into blank eyes
Kai looked at Charmel, startled by her sudden change in tone.
"Huh? What did you say?" he asked, unsure if he had heard her right.
Charmel didn't bother to repeat herself. She just kept staring at Kai with her blank eyes, a cold expression on her face.
Kai felt a chill run down his spine. He couldn't figure out what was wrong with Charmel, but something about her gaze was unsettling.
"Fine, whatever. Do what you want," he said, finally breaking the silence. "I don't care."
Charmel return to a normal "well I should be going now HAHAHA"
Kai watched as Charmel returned to her normal self, her expression changing from cold to friendly in an instant.
"Uh, okay," Kai said, still feeling on edge. "I guess I'll see you around."
Charmel smiled at him, but there was something off about it. It didn't reach her eyes, and Kai couldn't help but feel uneasy.
"Yeah, see you later," he replied, trying to hide his discomfort.
Charmel waved at him before turning and walking away, leaving Kai standing there feeling confused and a little bit afraid.
Kai stood there for a moment, trying to shake off the strange encounter with Charmel. He couldn't understand why she had reacted so strangely, but he knew that something was off about her.
As he walked home, Kai couldn't get Charmel out of his mind. He couldn't help but wonder what she had meant by saying "human are disgusting sh*t," and why she had stared at him with those blank eyes.
Whatever it was, Kai knew that he didn't want to be on Charmel's bad side.
