Seeing that his performance had clearly struck a chord with Mr. Fool, Lynn didn't really intend to rush out and punch the divine avatar. He merely bit his lip, seemingly suppressing his anger, and said,
"Right, although Roselle met a tragic end in his later years, he still left a significant mark on history and cards in the Beyonder field that everyone knows about. Since we arrived in this world much earlier than Roselle, why is it that, after searching through so many ancient texts, I can only find my... no, your name in the most obscure corners?"
"Did I live that poorly before?"
Hearing this question, Klein couldn't help but look at the Angel of Secrets. He was curious about this as well.
Lynn didn't seem to have lived poorly. Not only was he an angel, but being the son of Mr. Door should also have left some traces.
But the fact was that there was no record of him in the archives of the Evernight Church.
"This..." The divine avatar lowered his gaze, appearing somewhat sorrowful or perhaps just reminiscing.
Both Klein and Lynn looked at him, waiting for his explanation.
However, facing their expectant eyes, the divine avatar lifted his gaze again, revealing his trademark smile:
"That is a secret. I can't tell you yet."
His demeanor was gentle, his smile infuriating.
Klein: ... Old riddler!
Klein was speechless, and the corner of his eye caught his companion narrowing his eyes, gritting his teeth, and itching to act. He quickly grabbed Lynn's clothes, stopping his reckless behavior, and said,
"You want Lynn to regain his memory, right? At least, you don't want him to remain amnesiac forever, just not remember things he shouldn't right now..."
"But memories don't appear out of thin air, and for Lynn to regain his memory, he needs some suitable medium. So perhaps you don't mind giving us some clues about his past?"
Klein wasn't stupid. After seeing how the angelic compatriot reacted when Lynn seemed to remember a brother, he was sure that Lynn's amnesia was within the expectations of his former self. It might even be pre-arranged when he would remember certain things.
But that didn't mean they could just wait passively for the memories to return. Klein was very clear about this angel's style; even if he had the ability to predict, he was still full of mischief. Such a person wouldn't let them simply wait for memories to return.
In fact, even during this period, Lynn had already, under some intervention, actively or passively gotten involved in many things.
"You are right. I do hope he can regain his memories at the right time," the divine avatar admitted, nodding gently. He then smiled and said, "As for clues..."
He suddenly turned around, looking at the high-hanging red moon outside the window, appearing somewhat distracted, as if recalling something.
A few seconds later, the divine avatar looked at the two of them again and smiled, saying, "I'll give you a prophecy: On the next full moon night, the writer destined to be entangled with Abraham will meet you again. Perhaps you can get some information about Abraham from her."
So the angel friend does have the ability to prophesize... Klein's suspicion was confirmed, and he instinctively analyzed the prophecy given by the Angel of Secrets.
To say analyze might be an exaggeration because the prophecy was straightforward, not cryptic at all.
Klein only noticed some word choices, like "writer," "meet again," and "her."
Honestly, with these keywords together, Klein immediately thought of someone—the potential member of the Tarot Club recommended by Miss Justice, Xio's companion, the lady who bought the Trickmaster potion formula from Lynn.
Considering she bought the Trickmaster potion, the chances are high she is of the Apprentice pathway. Additionally, Miss Justice had mentioned that one of these two ladies was a writer. Most importantly, this lady had met them recently, fitting the "meet again" description.
This is too much of a coincidence. Miss Justice recommended two ladies, and one just happens to be connected to the Abraham family... no, maybe it's not a coincidence.
Klein suddenly looked up at the Angel of Secrets and asked, "Is this also part of your arrangement?"
"No, you are mistaken. It's not my arrangement, but..." The divine avatar looked at Klein and slowly said, "You attracted them."
"Don't attribute all coincidences around you to me. Some things are not arranged by me but are drawn to you because of what you possess."
"You should know about the Law of Beyonder Characteristics Convergence."
Klein paused, recalling the high-level grey fog he possessed, and realized what he meant.
But then he thought of something and looked at the Angel of Secrets, saying, "You know what it is..."
"Yes, I know. But regarding that matter, I'll answer you next time we meet," the divine avatar responded leisurely, still with that seemingly eternal smile.
Klein instinctively frowned. Facing the riddles of this angel, honestly, he now wanted to imitate his hasty companion, rush over, and punch the other party first.
Unfortunately, Klein was a rational person, so he restrained this impulse.
Next to Klein, Lynn patted his shoulder in empathy, muttering, "Sherlock, when we both advance in sequence, let's find an opportunity to put a bag over this guy's head! Don't go easy on him just because he's also me!"
It was a blatant conspiracy.
Klein's eyelid twitched. He didn't know how to evaluate his companion's behavior, but he felt tempted.
He couldn't be blamed. In fact, Mr. Fool was a good-natured person, but the Angel of Secrets played by Lynn was too much of a riddler, making anyone who talked to him want to punch him.
"Heh..." The divine avatar, as if not hearing Lynn's words, just chuckled lightly and said, "A friendly reminder, you are off-topic."
Thus, the fragile alliance built earlier showed signs of collapsing.
Lynn also seemed to remember the main issue. He pinched his chin and said, "Actually, after clarifying the compatriot matter, I've roughly figured it out. To put it simply, you, I, and Sherlock all come from another world, let's call it another world for now."
