Chapter 37 - Chapter 37 Beyonder Gathering in Progress (Edited)

Although Klein hadn't experienced the complete wipeout as in the original story, it was certain that he harbored some resentment towards Lanevus. After all, Lanevus directly caused the mutation of Megose, almost leading to the arrival of the True Creator and the destruction of Tingen.

In Klein's eyes, while Ince Zangwill was indeed nearly the culprit for the tragedy, Lanevus was the most direct accomplice in the whole affair.

Moreover, judging from the attitude displayed in the madman's letter and his actions in Tingen, it was evident that Lanevus, such a Beyonder, needed to be captured and brought to justice as soon as possible. Allowing him to remain outside would only result in more tragedies.

He wasn't some innocent wild Beyonder but a madman who found pleasure in deceit and harming others.

'...Miss Daly mentioned when she visited the captain that their team was tracking Lanevus. I'll ask her later. If Miss Daly doesn't have any leads, I can also ask the Tarot Club for help in tracking him. Miss Justice should be in Backlund.' Klein calculated silently in his mind while Lynn continued his introduction:

"Do you see those two blackboards over there? Those are the needs of the members at the gathering. Later, a servant will come and let us write our various needs on small pieces of paper, which will then be anonymously transcribed onto the blackboard by the servants."

As Lynn spoke, he led Klein and Leonard to an inconspicuous place and continued to whisper:

"In the process of transcribing, they will also announce these needs on the spot. If anyone is interested in making a transaction, they will secretly communicate with the servants, who will then arrange for the traders to meet in a secret room. Of course, you can also write on the blackboard yourself during your rest time, but I don't recommend it."

Following Lynn's gesture, Klein indeed saw a small room with two blackboards. The blackboards were filled with lines of words:

"Need ancient ghost powder, price negotiable."

"I need a pair of Manhattan Fish eyes."

"Sequence 8 'Sheriff' potion formula, 450 pounds."

...

Klein read through each line one by one. Even though he, as an official Beyonder, had seen quite a lot compared to many wild Beyonders, he still felt enlightened.

Indeed, this was one of Backlund's rare high-end Beyonder gatherings, far superior in quality compared to Tingen's underground market... Klein sighed inwardly, not prepared to buy anything. On one hand, he didn't lack potion formulas or miraculous items, and on the other hand, it was simply because of two words— "no money."

Leonard also looked with interest at the contents on the blackboard. Although wearing a mask, his excitement could still be seen from his body language.

After introducing the two novices, Lynn also read the contents on the blackboard. He was the one with the strongest shopping desire among the three. Mainly, Lynn needed to purchase materials for brewing melee scholar potions and some spiritual materials for making scrolls—most of the spiritual materials hoarded by the original owner had already been used up by him.

Although relying on cheats, Lynn required far fewer spiritual materials than ordinary Beyonders when making scrolls, but he couldn't create something from nothing.

After reading the contents on the blackboard, Lynn immediately began to discreetly search for the figures of Fors and Xio in the crowd.

Lynn was almost certain that these two reserved Tarot Club members would attend this gathering, especially since he received the script written by 0-08 in the morning.

But Lynn had never seen Fors and Xio, and if they were present, they obviously would have disguised themselves. After searching for a while, he couldn't find them.

This disappointed Lynn a bit, but he had already prepared the bait. He patiently waited for the upcoming trading session.

Soon, a servant who had distributed the pieces of paper reappeared and collected the notes from the three.

After a while, the servant who had collected the notes came to the blackboard and handed them to a companion responsible for recording information.

The servant in front of the blackboard began to register while reading out the contents of the notes. Soon, it was Lynn's turn.
