Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: (Wolf Girl) Amanises (Edited)

"Alright, done!"

At this moment, the unknown bird meat in Lynn's hand was finally roasted. Satisfied, he sprinkled some of his portable seasonings on it. He then glanced at Medici's pot of dubious cooking, showing a disdainful expression, and shook his head, saying, "Little Red, this won't do. You can't even cook a pot of soup properly. As your brother, I'm really worried about your self-sufficiency. What if you go out alone tomorrow and starve to death on the road?"

His tone wasn't sarcastic; in fact, it carried some concern. However, Medici couldn't help but grit his teeth upon hearing it.

"Thank you so much for your concern, brother," Medici squeezed out the words through his teeth.

"Good boy!" Lynn freed one hand and patted Medici's head in a mock show of affection, conveniently wiping the grease from his hand onto his clothes.

"Bang—"

In the next second, probably out of unbearable irritation or a long-prepared plan, Medici unexpectedly swung the pot containing the dubious cooking at Lynn's head. However, Lynn seemed to have anticipated this, and with a simple step back, he easily dodged it.

"Too slow!" Lynn took a bite of the roasted meat in his hand and even had the leisure to comment.

"Heh!" Medici gave a fake smile.

Then, Sasrir witnessed a familiar scene: the two boys started wrestling again.

Seeing this, Sasrir could only smile helplessly, took a sip of his tea, and thought about the arduous task of educating these two little ones.

After a while of their usual squabble, Lynn, who could still suppress Medici with his rich combat experience, suddenly stopped, sensing something. He glanced in a certain direction and grabbed Medici's hand as he tried to pull his ear.

"Stop it, we have a guest."

At this moment, Sasrir also put down his teacup, stood up, and patted the non-existent dust off his body. He looked as dazzling as he did when he first met Lynn, with no trace of the caregiver's image he had earlier.

"Good day, Your Highness Sasrir. It seems I am a bit late."

Out of the boundless darkness, a figure appeared. It was a woman draped in thin gauze, wearing a deep black gown adorned with stars, with her face hidden under a hood, making it hard to see clearly.

Lynn noticed that she didn't entirely look human, with distinctively wolf-like pointed ears on her head. However, he was slightly disappointed that her arms were normal, just like a regular human's.

Where's the "Goddess of Misfortune with Six Hands?" This is fraud! Lynn grumbled inwardly, but he understood that the Evernight Goddess had deliberately restrained her form.

Hearing her words, Sasrir smiled lightly and said, "No, we just arrived earlier. Amanises, long time no see."

"Long time no see. Are these your new members?" Amanises said as she fully appeared before them.

Due to his child form, Lynn had a lower perspective and could see the face under Amanises' hood.

It was indeed a beautiful face, seemingly fragile at first glance. But when Amanises lifted her eyes, those sharp, sword-like eyes would make anyone who thought she was weak realize it was a mistake.

She wasn't a canary needing protection, but an ambitious queen.

"Lynn and Medici are the children I'm taking care of. They came along this time to gain some experience since such grand occasions are rare," Sasrir said with a smile, his words clearly showing his importance to Lynn and Medici.

This made Amanises look at the two of them thoughtfully, and then she introduced herself with a warm smile, "Hello, I am Amanises."

"Hello, I am Lynn. Nice to meet you, Your Highness Amanises," Lynn responded smoothly.

Medici, who was not jumping around at the moment, also introduced himself, "Medici."

After the introductions, Amanises looked back at Sasrir. She didn't seem inclined to spend too much time on pleasantries and directly asked, "I am ready. Are you?"

"Aurmir has decided to betray Lilith," Sasrir replied with a seemingly irrelevant statement.

Amanises was not surprised, indicating that their plans were not sudden but had been brewing for a long time.

"I thought he would come in person," Amanises suddenly said.

She was obviously referring to the ancient sun god.

"The elves and dragons are watching the divine kingdom," Sasrir explained, then added with a smile, "Besides, with me here, it's enough."

This statement was quite confident.

But Sasrir did have the strength to be confident. As an avatar of the ancient sun god, Sasrir, although officially the King of Angels 2+0, was the firewall between the ancient sun god and the chaos sea. He directly controlled the first blasphemy slate and part of the power of the chaos sea, making him comparable to Sequence 0.

Amanises glanced at Sasrir, without further questioning.

It seemed like, with just a few words, they had decided the fate of the demonic wolf. Although no one explicitly said anything, Lynn, familiar with the original work, seemed to see the upcoming battle of the ancient gods. Lilith would drag down the destruction of the Demonic Wolf and the Mutated King, and Amanises would seize the opportunity to achieve the greatest gains, becoming the future Evernight Goddess.

History's wheels would then roll forward, heading towards a beautiful future of human rise.

Thinking about it, Lynn couldn't help but smile. He suddenly raised his hand and said, "Your Highness Amanises, I have an unusual request."

"Hmm?" Amanises was visibly taken aback, looking at Lynn with a warm voice, "What kind of request?"

Sasrir also looked at Lynn, not realizing the seriousness of the matter yet, merely thinking that Lynn might want to ask for some blood.

This wasn't a trivial matter since it's a common practice not to give blood lightly in the extraordinary field. However, it wasn't a big deal either, given their impending cooperation. For beings at their level, a drop of blood wouldn't make much difference.

'Lynn is too hasty, he should have let me ask first...' Sasrir thought with some helplessness. He was about to speak before Lynn, but then heard Lynn say:

"Your Highness Amanises, you should be a demonic wolf, right? Can I pet your wolf form's head?"

"Please, this is a once-in-a-lifetime request."

Sasrir: ...

Sasrir: ?

What the heck?

(End of Chapter)

TN: He gets to pet a Wolf Girl's head. I'm feeling so jealous right now. I don't care if it's a death world; if I could pet a wolf girl's head, I'd go there.

Further note: I was joking. Don't send me there.
