POV: Finn
" Hahaha," Finn juggled the seeds he acquired in his arm, throwing them up, quickly catching them, and repeating the process once more.
Now that the fire had been put out and there was nothing left to do, Finn and Jake had left back to the tree house.
Finn had gotten everything he wanted, from the fire shield spell which he had recorded and also made sure to memorize as well as the seeds.
He now wondered whether they would grow into also equally telepathic vegetables and fruits.
It sounded like something interesting to wait and see.
The other thing that had initially worried him was whether Finn would be able to make use of the flame shield spell after he had acquired it.
The reason for this was the basis of wizards in the adventure time world obeyed their own set of requirements for being a wizard.
Something about accepting that reality was a lie, Finn was not sure if that line of thinking made sense but that was how he remembered it.
He could recall Betty saying most wizards required either magic, madness, or sadness for the phenomena called magic to occur.
A sort of combination that all the wizards of Ooo had that made them . . . magical.
Or was it simply the magic that made them this way and could it also be involved in their realization that the world was nothing more than a dream that had pushed them to madness?
Finn did not know.
But Finn was lucky in a sort in this front. Not only did he have the Nomicon, which had a whole fake world within it, but he was also a reincarnator.
Someone who had seen the adventure time world as nothing but a show on Tv.
So, possibly accepting reality as a lie was not very difficult for him. . .
[ A/N; I Want to make it clear that this is not typical sane person thinking. But this is adventure time, everyone is a little crazy.]
Finn only hoped he would not lose himself in such a line of thinking, as countless other wizards in the land of Ooo and beyond had already done so.
" Slurp. This is some of the best chocolate I've ever had. " Jake said beside him, deeply enjoying the gift he had also been given by the villagers.
Jake was a practical type of guy and reasoned if they were going to get things from the villagers, he should also have gotten something.
Luckily, they had chocolate in stock!
Finn only shook his head, clearing his messy thoughts about going potentially crazy. He preferred having happier thoughts.
[ A flying Pizza flies directly towards them]
[A/N: If it's not already obvious, the sentence above is my way of trying to potray observation Haki ]
Finn acted immediately without hesitation, his sword drawn and in a perfect swipe, the pizza was dissected in half, flopping to the sides harmlessly.
" Woah. " Jake said impressed.
Even Finn was a little impressed. His training was not in vain, and it looked like Observation Haki was increasingly becoming more constant.
Why it had acted on a thrown pizza did not make sense to Finn. What mattered though was just before the Pizza was thrown, he had sense a malicious intent.
A sort of negative malice and his body had acted on it instantly.
He did catch a glance of red fur before the pizza thrower disappeared though. But if their action was to cause harm, why throw a pizza?
" You're getting better with that sword Finn. " Jake said unbothered by the person that had thrown the Pizza and Finn was already sure of what he was going to do.
He could already see how jake was eyeing the cut pizza.
" You're not going to. . .? " " I am! " Jake answered before Finn could finish, the Pizza already in his hands and halfway to his expanding mouth.
" It could be poisoned. . . huh " Finn tried saying weakly but the deed was done already.
Did it matter if it was poisoned, Jake was a magical dog. Finn was sure a little poison would be the least of his worries.
" Burp. What a great day! I went on an adventure with my best bud. I had some chocolate and finally, I got some pizza. It couldn't get better than this. . . Actually, I know what would make it even better."
Jake said his head immediately turning to Finn in expectation.
" What? " Finn was equally curious with his answer and asked.
"A Song!" Jake pulled out a violin from the backpack he carried and did the jazz hands as he posed in showing off.
" [ Clapping] " Finn clapped his hands to show his amusement at the situation.
" And you're going to join me!" Jake said as he started tuning his Viola.
" Me, but I don't have an instrument here. " Finn could recall that he did not carry his flute with him today.
" Who said anything about you playing an instrument bro? You're going to use that voice box of yours and we're going to make some Jams. "
Jake strung his violin to show his excitement.
" You want me to sing? " Finn asked very confused and a little embarrassed. Finn was very sure that he was not a very good singer and he preferred not to embarrass himself.
" I'm not sure about that Jake. . . " Finn rubbed his head feeling Jake should just play his viola as he normally did.
Jake had finally noticed the hesitance in Finn voice and his eyes raised to look at the red Finn, embarrassed looking down.
Jake found this shy Finn extremely cute, but he knew this was his moment to shine as a big brother.
Teasing Finn could come later.
" You know Finn, when I started learning how to play my Viola, I was horrible at it! I lacked any real talent in it. "
Finn finally raised his head, curious about Jakes's words. Was this a motivational speech moment? Weird. But still did not stop listening.
" I was a little embarrassed by this, but I never stopped trying, despite how embarrassed I felt, and despite how bad I was at playing the viola. I still did it because I wanted to know how to. And if there is something I'm sure of, is that you have a beautiful voice, Finn."
Finn suddenly felt less embarrassed and his earlier hesitance had disappeared. His eyes were practically sparkling at the moment and as he looked at Jake at the moment, Finn felt like he was Leo once again.
Back when his father was still alive, with all the happy moments and all the wise words his father would say now and then and looking at Jake at the moment, Leo could see the same encouraging smile his father would give him.
A silent encouragement that whether he messed up or not he would always stand by him.
" And you also swallowed that tiny computer. "
That image came crashing down quickly with
Jake's words, as Finn looked at Jake and he broke out in laughter with a blank face.
" You ruined that moment. " Finn said with a small smile and thought over what Jake had said about the computer.
Going over his memory, he could remember he had swallowed for some odd reason a tiny computer from their old home, and he had gained the ability to sing in autotune.
Finn suddenly felt stupid with his earlier embarrassment.
He had a computer that could make him speak in auto-tune and he was worried!
" Let me think what to sing about. "
Finn's mood was better, and he was more confident. He could do this. He just had to find the right tune.
And he already had an idea.
A song that would go perfectly with the world he was!
. . . . . . . . . . . . .. . Adventure Time . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ..
Yes, what's adventure time without one or two songs?
I will repeat myself by saying that this story may not be too linear at the beginning because I'm trying to make my sort of linear storyline while using the elements from the show. Which if you've seen Adventure Time, you would be completely random in the first few seasons.
And most importantly. I want this story to majorly be a sort of slice of life with some elements of action, comedy, and romance.
I will do my best to achieve such a story.
