POV: Finn the human
' Let the power flow Finn. ' The Nomicon had continued to tell him this. To let the flames flow, to be both gentle and fierce. To control but to allow it to flow at the same time. It was an interesting contradiction.
A contradiction that Finn was quickly getting used to and one he was starting to understand.
" This is my power," Finn said to himself as the flame he had conjured danced around with his movement.
Every sway of his hands, every step of his feet the flame would follow. A dance that Finn had learned. The dance of the flame god as the Nomicon called it.
The flames had increased from the original one to six, the sixth one having formed the most recently.
Finn's control was improving constantly. Every failure only solidified his resolve each moment as the movement of the flame continued to follow his commands.
In the dark garage where he was positioned himself, the flames made a ring pattern around the sweating Finn. They acted as the only source of light as Finn changed their patterns from fast to slow, from bright to dull, and from fierce to barely hot.
It was an interesting process. A process that Finn fully enjoyed due to its sheer beauty as well as how it would allow him to fully exert his control.
" Huff, it's almost time. " Finn said and the flames slowed down, reducing in speed from the ring pattern they had started to form back to their individual six flames.
The process of dispersing the flame also went smoothly but Finn took back the flames into his body, letting them flow within him and his body heated up once more relaxing his muscles as he breathed out once more. Fully relaxing
Finn was satisfied with the progress. And he wondered how this was how Geniuses felt when they trained, and everything came easily to them. But it made sense to Finn, was he not the protagonist, and he was also at the same time a reincarnator. Both titles were expected to be cheat titles that gave one extreme advantage in any world.
' You have progressed Finn.' The nomicon said, still wrapped around his arms and Finn started moving outside the garage, prepared for his upcoming battle.
Finn had made it a habit of walking around with Scarlet in case of any dangers and it was therefore ready for his use.
It was exactly four o'clock on the dot and as Finn had come to know, two very interesting people would for some odd reason pass around near the tree house at this exact time. Finn could even remember their first meeting and he still failed to hold back the anger that came with that memory.
Adventure Time . . . . . ..
Time: 4 days ago
It was right after another one of Finn's sessions. When he had finished training and when Jake was taking his afternoon nap Finn had spotted the two approaching.
A large shark holding a sword and a cat wearing a lab coat and glasses. Was it weird, extremely? It was not even the fact that a shark was walking on land or that a fish and a cat were walking together but oddly, Finn just found himself laughing at the absurdity of the situation.
This made the two creatures angry as they approached in a hurry toward Finn.
" Oh Glob. " Finn had readied Scarlet at the approaching shark while the Lab cat used the shark's large body as cover to do something.
" [Clang] "
There was a surprising heaviness to their clash of blades, but Finn found that he could surprisingly hold his ground. He was only pushed back two steps.
Finn took the moment to try to take a step back, his instincts warned him to move, and Finn had learned to follow his instincts.
" [ Splat] " The flask crushed where he had been standing and fortunately or unfortunately, the Sword shark had been close enough for the exploding to affect it.
But Finn conjured a fireball, one that he threw at the Lab cat that was trying to back away to once again mix what Finn now believed was a potion.
" Boom " The fireball slammed into the cat and what Finn expected to happen did not. Instead of the cat exploding or catching flames, the cat burned for a second and it also puffed out of existence, living behind two empty flasks.
Finn's attention returned to the fog that was disappearing, and he waited for the Sword shark to come out. Surprisingly, a butterfly flew out and Finn looking closer, could see that the butterfly was the shark.
He quickly approached and threw another fireball at the Butter shark, and it also disappeared leaving no loot behind.
Finn was left surprisingly still full of energy. The fight was not that very hard, and he found it easy. He was not sure why the monsters puffed away though, maybe that was just the way they were.
At least that was Finn's original line of thought until the two came back the next day and the day after and the day after.
The only thing of value that he had acquired from the continuous attacks was that he had acquired the weird alchemical flasks as well as a free training partner that would come back no matter how many times Finn would kill 'them'

Time: Present Time
Finn's anger came as a result when he realized that these two were learning from each of their different deaths.
In four days, the shark had significantly learned how to properly swing a sword leaving behind the horrible swordplay it was doing earlier. Even the lab Cat mixed his potions faster and it was just yesterday that Finn had seen another potion being used. A slowing down potion.
The good thing with all this was that Finn was progressing faster than the two could handle.
Finn conjured two fireballs, and he stood in a stance, his legs spread and his sword arm forward tightly holding scarlet. Finn had reasoned that if the two would continue to appear no matter what, he would at least get some training by using them.
" [ shuuaa] " His two fireballs zoomed after the Lab cat, leaving Finn only with the approaching sword shark. Today he wanted to test his deflection abilities. He would also put his multi-tasking to the test as the two fireballs flew to intercept the Lab cat.
He would only go for the kill when he disarmed the shark.
Both their swords moved as the shark came closer.
Finn could see the improvement in how the shark held the sword, he could see the slight edge the swing had, and his sword also moved.
[ Clang]
Finn had quickly learned how to outmaneuver an opponent such as the shark. His genius intuition and natural ability would not allow him to be bested twice.
" Act as my wet stone you stupid fish. " Finn said mockingly.
"Roar." The shark replied in anger and Finn was surprised at the first time the shark uttered a sound.
[ Clang]
Finn deflected the sword to the side, using the shark's anger to pull back his blade to meet the shark's oncoming flurry attack.
[ CLANG CLANG]
An upper block to the head, a side block to one of his arms, and the last block he deflected to the side.
The shark had grown angry, its attack increasing in speed and ferocity.
But this was good for Finn, he felt himself improve, no matter how little.
He deflected the attack that was coming to his face upwards fully opening the shark up to a finisher, but he did not finish the job.
" Huh"
Finn was growing tired of the shark's mad swings and then it did something unexpected.
The shark got on all four, seemingly abandoning the only thing that made it a threat and Finn only cracked a smile.
" {Boom] " Finn heard the fireballs finish the job nearby after countlessly teasing the cat lab with the threat of death. He had been paying attention to the fight and even then, the shark had failed to injure Finn despite him being distracted.
" How disappointing. I guess it's time to end this. "Finn said as he continued to observe the charging shark, and a new move came to him. A daring move that could potentially get him crushed but it was worth the try.
His sword faced the direction the shark was charging from, waiting, anticipating its movement in silent focus.
Finn's focus was at the max and he was sure that even his breath had slowed or was the world becoming slower.
He was waiting, waiting as he saw the shark's sharp teeth and increasingly large frame become larger and more menacing but more importantly, Finn was waiting for his observation Haki to speak to him, he was waiting for the moment when his intent would speak.
' Wait, wait, wait. . . Now! "
Finn's body moved, gracefully and instantly. He had waited for the moment the shark would almost crush him and jump above it, its sharp Fin just slightly touching him.
Finn's sword arm also moved at that time, wildly and powerfully, drawing a wide arc in one of the most powerful slashes Finn had ever made, putting his everything into it.
" Thud " Finn landed on the ground once more, and the shark maintained its stride for a while until reality caught up with it.
Finn had faced away from the shark, seemingly distracted but behind him, the shark's head slowly started to slide off its shoulder and before the head could touch the ground, the entire thing puffed out of existence, generating an intense wind that blew Finn's blonde hair wildly.
" I need a sword sheath. "
