Chereads / His Half Bred Luna / Chapter 11 - 0011

Chapter 11 - 0011

"I think I have somewhere perfect you can find a mate" Zelda muttered happily as she scrolled through her phone.

"Where?" Hazel asked curiously.

"There's this new popular and hot Alpha who came to visit the pack and he'll be hosting a ball tomorrow night. It'll be nice if you attend" Zelda explained, leaning her two hands against the bed.

"It'll be perfect for you, Hazel. You might find match in there and if the Moon goddess is on your side, you could end up mating and you'll fulfil your dream to settle down and do whatever you want to do" She tried convincing her further but all Hazel could do was sigh.

"Mating! Settling down with a good guy! It's why you want for yourself now right?" Zelda inquired, seeing the reluctance on her face.

"Yes, Zee"

"Then what's with the hesitation?"

"You see, Zelda. I was banished five years ago and now I can't help but wonder how revealing myself now would turn out"

"This is just a one day outing, babe. It shouldn't hurt, should it?"

"It could! I was betrayed by the one I trusted with my life, Zelda and he had confirmed me to be a criminal right in front of everyone while he announced my banishment alongside the whole process. What would showing up at the fucking party make me?"

"Besides, I'm still holding unto that sadness no matter how okay I claim to be" she added within herself.

"I should have thought about that, before suggesting such useless ball" Zelda said quickly in a low tone. She sighed and laid silently on the bed for a few minutes.

"You'll be missing out a lot though" she added, trying to convince her otherwise.

"I'd rather stay home and hide myself from those mean and evil eyes of people around here than going to any balls or party right now" Hazel said grimly and Zelda knew she had to respect her friend's decision if it is what she really wanted.

"That's okay with me, miss kill-joy. I'll respect your decision and go alone" Zelda said and she stood from the bed. She picked up the tray from the small desk and walked out of the room.

"Wash up and come down for breakfast, even if it's late" Zelda giggled before closing the door.

Hazel took her phone and she found herself checking all about the new Alpha and his grand ball right after she has refused to attend. She sighed and flung her phone to the other side of the bed before stripping out of her dress.

She spent nothing less than thirty minutes in the bath tub, soaking herself and soothing her stuff and aching nerves which was all thanks to Kieran.

"KIERAN" she mouthed angrily, her hands fisting on a piece of rose petal in the water.

"Why would he walk off so abruptly after all we did together? He fucking took my virginity, yet he seemed so nonchalant like... nothing happened"

Then her memories wandered off to how worried and guilty he was right before he ran off but it doesn't explain anything. At least, not for now!

She didn't need an explanation anyway, or so she tried to convince herself. Deep down she knew she wanted one but she also knew that she shouldn't expect anything from a guy who didn't blink before letting her trust down.

She eventually stepped out of the water and after dressing up, she went down for her breakfast or should she say early lunch.

The rest of the day without Zelda home was extremely silent and desolate. All she had to do was lie on her bed and think of her life so far.

A laugh coursed through her veins as she recalled what her bastard boss did to her the last time she met him. The urge to go back and give him a taste of her anger shook her terribly. She twisted and turned in bed until late in the evening.

Zelda still wasn't home and her phone was almost down, though it could last a few more hours.

"Where are you?" She texted to Zelda and her reply came almost immediately.

"Still at a party, babe" her reply came in five seconds.

"The ball?"

"Of course not! The ball is tomorrow night"

"Don't stay up waiting for me, I won't be home till dawn" her last message came.

"Okay" Hazel texted before dropping her phone somewhere around the bed.

She suddenly felt like she heard a sound from her window. She initially thought it could be a result of how stressed and tired she was, but she knew she was wrong when the sound grew even louder.

She thought of switching on her flashlight, but she changed her mind and decided to attack back in silence from a safe corner, so she tiptoed to the side of the window, where her curtains covered properly.

Fear gripped her hard and she had subconsciously changed to her wolf form even if it wasn't so strong, it would at least help her hold out a little longer.

She was fully alerted, her claws and fangs ready to attack whoever was trespassing through her room, however she don't get the chance to attack before she felt two strong arms pinning her against the wall. As she struggled to break free with anger and fear washing through her veins she had unintentionally switched on the light from the wall and the intruder turned out to be Kieran.

Relief and pure anger shot her in the guts as she looked up to his face, her eyes digging holes into his, as she tried to calm herself. She was relief that it wasn't a real intruder, yet she was so mad that he found her easy to pick on.

"Do you take me for a joke, Kieran?" Hazel asked in anger as she pushed him away from her body.

"What do you mean?" He asked innocently and she was suddenly impulsive, as her hands itched to pluck out his tongue.

"Why the hell would you come into my room when no one forced you to leave the night before. You must think I'm a whore ready to serve you while you run off right after doing whatever you want with me?" Hazel yelled in anger as her tears betrayed her by glinting in her eyes.

Her eyes felt heavy and glassy as she tried to keep the darn tears at bay at least, until she gets this fucking bastard out of her room.

"I never said all of that, Hazel" Kieran muttered calmly, earning a scoff from Hazel.

"You don't have to say it out loud you know? Your actions... the way you're treating me right now and even then says it all!" Hazel yelled to his face.

"I had a reason to leave yesterday, Hazel. Try to understand that, huh?" He added in concern.

"Of course, you have a reason to be here right now, too, no?" Hazel inquired, almost like she already knew the answer.

"Understand, you say? You never tried to understand me, Kieran. Not even once!" Hazel said in a loud tone, her vocal cord threatening to snap in any second.

"Then let me understand, Hazel. What do you want me to do?" He said again, not meaning to give up anytime soon.

"If you don't understand anything else, you should at least understand a gesture for you to leave."

"I don't want you anywhere near me, Kieran

I don't want to see you at all, so, please... leave, right now!" Hazel said even more calmly but the look on Kieran's face made her heart skip a beat.

"I tried, Hazel. I'm trying my best to stay away, out of your life, but I can't! I fucking can't, Hazel!" Kieran said sincerely, taking slow strides closer to her but she instinctively moved back until her back touched the wall.

"I can't stay away from you, Hazel. Not again" he said, his voice barely a whisper and his hand tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear before kissing her gently on the lips.
