Recommend song - No Reason by Ryan.B

"I don't know" Sophia said, walking to her mother in-law.

"How wouldn't you know. Aren't you the Madam of the house and also the next Matriarch of the family" Ruby said proudly to her. She clasped her hand together, as a tear of drop slowly fell from her eyes, reaching her cheeks. She tried not to smile but she couldn't.

Her Mother in-law finally acknowledged her. She couldn't believe it.

"Hey, why are you crying?" She asked with a frown on her face.

"Don't cry before your husband comes home and think I hit his wife" She said, placing her walking stick in front of her like ab instructor.

"No, no, no, it's n-not that, it's just that you made me emotional" Sophia hurriedly cleaned her tears.

Ruby knew why she was emotional, so she just kept her mouth shut and watch.

Any woman would have ran away or choose to follow another man or even move on with their life but this daughter in-law of hers, stood her ground even when her son brought her home as his wife and she didn't accept her.

She brought warmth into this  cold mansion, turned it into a home, where people can live in peace and harmony.

"Come, let's this old woman give you a hug" Ruby said, opening her arms widely.

Sophia turned to look at her son and he nodded, giving her an heads up. She quickly ran, stopping a few metres just to be sure if it was a joke or not.

The butler and maids who saw this, smiled warmly at the scene. Who knew their Madam had a kind and gentle soul.

With a frown, the butler clapped and the door immediately closed. Another clap echoed and all the servants raised their head, faced the front" And Dismiss" the butler instructed and they all left.

The door opened again and A lady emerged inside the house with a girl by her side. The two of the who both saw the scene stood still, their eyes opened widely.

Is Grandma really hugging her sister in-law.

No, It might be a dream.

She cleaned her eyes, but it was still the same. She cleaned it for the second, third and fourth.

"Mom!" She said almost falling to the ground due the heavy liquor she drank. She went back and forth, and swayed her arms in the air. Her eyes spinning like a ferris wheel. She opened and closed her mouth.

Sophia released the old lady as soon as she heard that voice. She immediately wiped her tears and arranged her hair. She slowly looked up to see a drunk Miranda, who couldn't stand properly and was almost doozing off.

She glanced to the other side only to see the fragile child crying silently without a word. Her hair was tied into a pony tail with pink  hair clips by the side of her hair. She held a teddy bear between her tiny hands. Her docile eyes blinked happily, as she saw Sophia turning to face her.

"And what are you doing here?" Madam Ruby said, as  she struck her walking stick on the ground.

"Um, Mother in-law no!, There's a child here. Bu-..Butler..where is the Butler" Sophia said rushing to the little child who was already trembling on the spot.

Another word, and she looked like she could cry anytime.

"No!" Miranda said, dragging her daughter away from Sophia grasp.

"Sister-in-law, what are you doing. Let's take the child inside first, then we can all talk. Butler, take Liliana inside" Sophia said, as she carried the little child.

"Give me, I'll take her" Mark said, revealing a gentle smile.

When the two left, Miranda scoffed unexpectedly. She clapped her hands, walked to Sophia stopping a few metres away from her.

Madam Ruby just stood there by the side watching the two with her walking stick in front of her.

Sophia knew her mother in-law was giving her a go ahead to handle the matter by herself. If it was before, Sophia wouldn't be able to say anything and just listen to Miranda's scoldings.

But today is her time to 'Rise'.

"You finally took my spot huh?" Miranda sneered, removing her high heels and holding it in her hand.

"I don't think sister-in-law has a spot too. You should go to your husband house because that is where you belong. You keep roaming around like an aimless fellow." Sophia said finally. She knew she was being harsh to her but she couldn't keep quiet and let this pampered daughter bully her all the time.

She tried her best to be a good sister-in-law for her but it didn't go well with Miranda. Abuses and curses from different angles.

"You!" Miranda face turned into a scowl.

"Mom, you see-..."

"Enough"  Madam Ruby struck her wooden walking stick on the ground for the third time.

"You're not a child anymore, and beside this is not your home. Go back to your in-laws house!. That's where you belong."

At the pastry shop, The three friends walked into the store chatting together happily.

"And he was like I like you" Lia said explaining, what she had experienced last week with a guy at school who wanted her phone number.

She didn't look where she was going and bumped into someone.

"Oh, sorry I didn't see you there" Lia apologised hurriedly. The person didn't even glance at her because he was on a phone call. The guy raised his hand blocking his view, as he walked at of the mall.

"So rude" Lia pouted angrily.

"I apologised and he didn't even say a word of thanks. Next time if I come across that kind of person, am never saying a thing, hum" She crossed her arm angrily gazing at the figure moving out.
