Chapter 52 - Storm Retaliation

Hentai Shinobi Rule 52: Check for the disease before the eager release.

***

Kinto was terrified. Despite living in the Red Strip town since his birth, unaware of his origins—most likely spawned by an unfortunate whore like many other orphans in the district—Kinto found his footing and stood out from the masses, surviving. Every day was a challenge like none other.

He clung for every piece of food and moment of shade or warmth during the harshest summer sun and frosted winter nights. He'd been injured and chased away, occasionally beaten to a pulp by a few heavy-handed men experiencing a bad day. Yet, Kinto was a survivor like none other.

However, today, he was terrified.

Beads of cold sweat first stuck and matted his dust-coated face. However, the beads turned into streams of sweat, appearing prominent on his face as they slid down his temples from either the center of his face by the bridge of his nose or the sides through his slightly sunken cheeks before converging upon his chin and dripping on his lap.

"I mean—Orphan Tormentor?!" A haggard voice breathed raspily, annoyance more than evident in his wheezes. His outfit looked singed from several spots, cuts tattering his clothes and trails of blood through different healed gashes, including the evident Konohagakure forehead protector headband, drenched the clothes in its color.

"I'll tell you!"

Kinto watched the youth gulp for breath, appearing relieved after wetting his throat.

"I never tormented those Orphans. Like you! You're a textbook orphan upto no good. But do you see me disciplining you? Nope. Because you already have a good head on your shoulder."

Was he really a youth?

Kinto had sometimes encountered deceptively young Samurai who ventured into the town to shed their boyhood before taking an oath under any Noble Lord. Almost all those well-trained boys looked older than their biological age. It was one of the things that left Kinto envious.

If only he could grow quickly and increase his chances of survival…

"As far as I'm concerned, I'm like the drunk, abusive dad they never had. Do you know how much success those abused kids achieve?" The youth heaved as distant lightning crashed at every spot, evoking myriad cries and horrifying sizzling noise of overbearing lightning, charring everything in its path!

"Oh, by the way, I'm Kai," the youth regained his breath and smiled. "What's your name?"

"K-Kinto," the boy stammered as Kai nodded.

"What're you doing in this dump, Kinto?"

The phrase was metaphorical and literal, for the duo was hidden inside an ACTUAL dump filled with smelly trash.

"I live here," Kinto gulped, feeling an unknown sense of danger creep into his heart.

"Fuck my life," Kai suddenly spat, revealing his moody nature as Kinto almost yelped. However, Kai never attacked. Instead, Kinto heard the youth mutter something under his breath.

"Since when did sensors become so common? No wonder you survived till now." Kai momentarily frowned before pointing out. "Go to that Madam Jin after this fiasco if she survives, 'kay? If that doesn't work out, find a way to enter Honou City. The Capital always accepts the new talent."

"What… do you mean?"

Kai snickered.

"Entering a Shinobi Village as an outsider will probably land you in a shitty fate. But you got the talent, Kinto. Why waste it? Just push a bit harder and become a Samurai. Or better—just learn the ways of Samurai and shit on their belief by becoming a Ronin. Anything's better than dying in the dump… wait, maybe not. I can think of a few things worse than dying in this hole."

Despite the sweat, dirt, blood, and grime, hope kindled in Kinto's heart as he whispered.

"I can?"

"Sure," Kai stood, flipping open the ceiling above them. "Well, good luck. Try and survive, yeah? I'd hate to be the reason that ruined your survival streak. Say, how many days has it been?"

"I don't understand."

"Your age, kid," Kai looked back as Kinto had to momentarily squint due to bursts of blinding lightning zapping outside. It illuminated Kai, making the youth appear… divine.

"I'm nine…"

"Hah! Me, too! I also have a bone to pick with that stupid bitch. Well, see ya!"

<<<>>>

Kai honestly had a bone or two to pick against Ameyuri Ringo.

Everyone knew about the famous assassin squad from Kiri—the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. In Ameyuri's case, she would be considered a Swordswoman, a rarity among the Seven. But Kai had read Ameyuri's entry in the Bingo Book. Wielding one of the seven Great Chakra Swords created during the First Mizukage's era, the Kiba, Ameyuri happened to be an exceptionally proficient Lightning Release User and one cheeky fucker that DID get through Kai's head in the heat of the battle.

She had continuously sensed Kai, and he had mistakenly jabbed about how she sensed the electrical signals within his body. However, the [Two Symbols Protection] worked against all the sensory means aimed at his body! Ameyuri's admission at the time was an admirable display of her awareness during combat since it camouflaged her technique, which she used to sense Kai constantly.

But there was some truth to Kai's appraisal.

Ameyuri had been sensing electrical signals—just… not the ones within his body.

As Kai tried before, Ameyuri had successively snuck a sliver of her chakra as a Lightning Release Jutsu on his body, forming a circuit with Ameyuri whenever he got near her, allowing her to sense his general direction.

When did she plant the Jutsu, you might ask?

The second her blade hit Kai's arm, yanking Nono away from the attack!

But being fooled wasn't what annoyed him.

Yuko Hyuga had fooled him once, and it did little to anger Kai. Instead, he was thrilled at the idea of paying them back. It was the same as Kai eventually using Mikoto's Transformation to get her hands off his cheeks…

Temporarily, at least.

Of course, Kai noticed other things about the Jutsu on his body.

It had a small range, forcing Ameyuri to act like a headless chicken and burst forth with lightning in every direction, hoping to encounter Kai.

As for the thing that annoyed him…

[1257 SP Consumed.]

[Mystical Palms (A) (1→10/10): A hiden involving the delicate balance of Yin and Yang Nature Transformation to enhance the target's impacted region's cell activity artificially and fill the target's chakra reserves without poisoning their chakra coils.]

[Chimera Transformation Jutsu (B) (7→50/100): Form achievable, functioning fusion of different animals to meet your suited results. This skill demands knowledge about the very structure of an animal and how various cellular organisms interact with each other in varying circumstances.]

Almost all forms of taijutsu and martial arts are rooted in the essence of different animals, from which the creator of said techniques inspires movement and focus. This information-granting skill compiles the nature of other beasts, their movements, and the most efficient route of utilizing the various beasts' strengths, from a bear's claw to a gorilla's upper body strength and a falcon's flight. Adds one stat at every level {If Physique<375.}]

[Physique: 194→234]

Kai instantly worked on these skills to increase his chances of survival. Healing the injured spots without touching them was a peak display of Iryo-Ninjutsu!

He always planned to work on these skills steadily, advancing them over the years and enjoying every moment of growth.

Yet, Ameyuri's arrival snatched that joy of the grind, leaving Kai peeved at her and the mysterious force after his life.

Sure, Ameyuri was hot, and he would let her transgressions slide after beating the shit out of her and persuading her to join his harem…

But that one who put the bounty on Kai's head better hope they pleased his eyes…

The sudden growth of his physical stature also let Kai barely keep up with Ringo's relentless assaults.

'I'm all out of wood,' Kai sighed. The short duration of rest allowed Kai to form a simple but functional plan for dealing with the crazed redhead.

On a side note, why were the redheads he encountered stupidly crazy?

Kushina had been unhinged since the day she arrived, shoving Kai into the position of her caretaker as the pitiable youth washed her hair to this day… seeing no hope and light at the end of the tunnel, only shampoos and those long red strands ahead.

Meanwhile, Mito was a different kind of crazy… hmm~ A hot one… the one Kai loved molding and leaving a wet mess.

Now, it was Ameyuri Ringo after his life.

Rikudo!

At least ask him out for Kiri's specialty or something.

Then again, knowing Kirgakure, their specialty must be salted bones of their dead Academy Students forced to kill each other.

Hah!

'I should write that joke somewhere—'

"Found you!"

The zapping noise of the burst of lightning cut Ameyuri's delighted hiss short as her widely grinning face was almost upon Kai the next second. Boy, those tooth ends were sharp!

"No need to scream!" Kai replied with a toothy grin as Ameyuri waved her sword down, summoning a massive bolt of lightning from the sky!

*Boom*

The massive bolt crashed upon Kai, momentarily darkening the sky with utter brilliance as the dirt ground blew apart with hot wind, leaving a charred crater in its wake. Blackened land spread out from the crater, the corners caught licks of fire and an unnatural but faintly burning smell hung in the air. Ameyuri inhaled the fumes with a pleased smile. Her eyes squinted with satisfaction as she stared at the burnt region.

"You were a fun battle, kid. Though, I'd say to tone down that perversion a bit. I saw you checking me out a few times. Sigh, I hope you're more focused in your next life and get that harem you were whining about."

She sniffed the fume again, mesmerized by the scent like a young kid high on sniffing glue. "I should probably fuck a guy or two before kicking the bucket."

A shadow loomed over Ameyuri as she sighed and looked at the sky. It was about to rain. The Kiba was a special sword imbued with Lightning Release that continuously consumed its user's chakra reserves and discharged Lightning Release Chakra in the surroundings, making it easier for the user to manipulate their environment by summoning pillars of lightning after expending less time but a whole lot of Chakra.

Yet, Ameyuri's pleasant expression froze once she looked at the 'sky.'

The darkening clouds did not cast a shadow after her battle. On the contrary, a tall, insectoid figure stood behind her, bent at the waist until his triangular face appeared right above Ameyuri's head. Red, compound eyes observed her dazed face, with two antennas growing from the metal-like triangular forest green head that extended into plated green and black armor. Unlike an insect, the figure's limbs wore thick, steel-like claws.

{A/N: Kai's DIY Stingmon}

The man was a strange, chimeric combination smoothed and perfected into a single lifeform that did not exist until Kai willed it, so using the [Chimera Transformation Jutsu] and [Beast-Fu.]

"You said something about fucking a guy or two," a muffled, layered voice emerged from behind the green insectoid 'mask.'

"Fancy taking me for a ride?" Kai inquired with all the humor his current form could express. The thin pairs of wings on his back momentarily buzzed into life as Ameyuri snapped out of her daze. An impish smirk tugged her lips as her grip on the paired Kiba tightened.

"You're still a weak shit, kid. Should have run away after you dealt with my Jutsu on your body." She didn't pretend to be a generational sensor, knowing Kai had seen through the farce. It meant the earlier youth must have been another Substitution Jutsu, probably a Senbon, given that Ameyuri did not see any traces of a splintered wooden log.

"Weak? Sure." Kai insisted. "But give me a shot after I beat you and let you deal with that issue in your lung."

Ameyuri's eyes briefly widened as she instantly thought a spy had sold her out, or worse, Kirigakure!

"It's probably the fumes you were getting high on—"

Kai spoke patiently. Yet, who was he to give the woman such a kind treatment and be patient? His words deceived Ameyuri into believing they were still bantering as Kai's massive claw smacked the woman back into the previous week, with creaking bones echoing at the impact!

Her body had bent into the massive claw, the impact causing her red strands to crazily whip as Kai knocked the very breath out of the woman for the first time.

*Thud*

*Thud*

Kai's body moved slowly, each step sinking his bulky dark-green figure into the ground, leaving those gleaming steel-like claws as footprints.

He had selected the best lightning and heat-resistant materials, both organic and inorganic, to weave this form. However, it wasn't without its disadvantages. As usual, the Transformation Jutsu consumed Chakra continuously. Not only that, Kai's transformations were still limited to the physical aspects of the creatures he picked to mix.

For instance, he couldn't just transform into a Uchiha and use a Sharingan since this required understanding their chakra coil AND its influence on their Chakra Reserves.

"Too slow!"

Ameyuri appeared before her words reached Kai, two swords already aimed at his neck.

*Clang*

Lightning fizzled away, revealing her swords locked against the unblemished neck as Ameyuri flickered away, appearing a few feet from Kai.

"Speed's usually irrelevant in such a transformation," Kai's voice rumbled as his gaze pinned down the wary Ameyuri. "But I like going above and beyond."

*Khuk*

Ameyuri's vision suddenly faltered as her knees gave out—

*Boom*

A massive steel claw grabbed her head before zipping beyond the Red Strip Town. The wind whipped around the drugged Ameyuri as she felt her body soon crash into the ground.

The merciless impact traveled through her spine and to her front as she gasped for breath, only for a massive foot to pin her chest into the crater.

"And by that," the cold voice cooed. "I didn't mean speed, Dear. I'm the Continent's Greatest Medic's Best Student. You best believe I've got some good poison in the sac."

Ameyuri struggled under his foot as Kai sighed.

"Oh, well. You like struggling—"

*Zap*

He suddenly sensed something and tilted his head sideways, avoiding Ameyuri's clone as it suddenly dispelled near his face and turned into a lightning bolt, striking Kai and fizzling out the next second.

However, it provided Ameyuri the precious time to slip out of Kai's grasp, appearing on a branch with blood painting the corner of her lips.

"Don't get cocky," Ameyuri hissed, wearing an expression of cold fury and an unmatched excitement. "I'm going to enjoy Round 2!"

"If I learned anything the day before yesterday—I can do this all day." Kai pointed an arm at Ameyuri, suddenly launching those steel claws that became invisible Senbons. Meanwhile, he removed the lightning imprint from his body, promptly turning invisible!

Ameyuri's expression instantly fell.

"You're shameless!" She goaded. "Is that how you woo a woman? Grow a pair and act like a gentleman—"

A claw tore through the air as Ameyuri instantly dodged the invisible attack. Her senses were nothing short of something feral on steroids.

"Funny," the voice chuckled. "I also learned acting like a gentleman doesn't guarantee a good time."

<<<>>>

After burning a Chunin, alongside the team of Samurais, alive, Mikoto and Kushina faced the relentless assault from Iwagakure's seasoned Chunins. Their bodies flickered around the manor's interior, appearing as bloody specters, leaving the afterimages of their clashes for the quivering spy to witness.

Meanwhile, more and more spiders clung to the strangely fleshy cocoon, exploding one after another to no avail as the duo Chunin's hearts sank at the realization their Team Leader's fate wouldn't be pretty.

Unlike them, Mikoto and Kushina were a step more desperate. Worry gripped their thoughts as the source of electrifying Chakra overshadowed Kai in every manner imaginable. They struck their blades with everything they had, swinging them with all the strength their arms mustered, yet their opponents refused to get blindsided a second time!

Metal clashed against metal in a battle of speed and intensity. A moment was all that it would take to end a life, one single mistake to have their throats stabbed and their necks ripped away!

Sparks filled the air as the manor continued trembling due to all the explosions upon Katsuyu's flesh.

*Crackle*

A stray lightning bolt suddenly pierced through the wall, surprising the four Shinobi as they swiftly pulled apart.

Sweat condensed over their brows—their lips dried, and their throats parched. The two sides shared a similar glare until the men from Iwagakure momentarily appeared dazed. Swiftly turning to each other, the men suddenly shared a passionate kiss!

'What?!'

Alarms went off in the Team 9 Duo's heads as they couldn't help but accidentally freeze in their tracks until—

*Chhk*

*Chhk*

Two shurikens suddenly pierced their heads. The men died in their arms, eyes wide, and lips suckling. Meanwhile, a cautious Nono peeped out from behind the manor's wall, adjusting her glasses.

"It was just those two, right?"

"Y-You did that?" Kushina stammered, feeling the heat in her cheeks as Nono cautiously entered the Manor, warily glancing at the spider-infested cocoon.

"It's thanks to your effort. I wouldn't have been able to pull them in such a brazen Illusion without their minds focused on you two," Nono admitted before adding. "I made them recall their first nights… unfortunately, I couldn't witness it myself, you know? I had to kill them."

Even Mikoto's lips parted.

She did have Genjutsu training. However, the techniques taught to her were… more nightmare fuels than sexual intimacy…

Nono looked around before informing the relived duo about Ameyuri's arrival.

Shocked, the duo instantly glanced at the cocoon, hoping for Tsunade's return.

"I'll support Kai-Chan—" Kushina instantly readied herself, checking her sword's conditions before sealing the nearby rocks for the Substitution Jutsu later. Yet, Mikoto instantly snorted and held the redhead back.

"No," she hated the words coming out of her mouth. "We'll burden Kai-chan… we have to wait for Tsunade-Sensei."

"Maybe you will be a burden with that attitude," Kushina hissed, instantly retorting. "I'm going to help him!"

"You'll distract him!" Mikoto snapped, glaring at her friend as tensions spun high.

Unlike the distracted and anxious duo, Nono never stopped paying attention since she almost lost her life to Ameyuri's surprise attack. So, her green eyes sharpened behind her glasses when she sensed something amiss. The brunette moved instinctively, intercepting the Senbon aimed at their group with several shurikens!

Despite missing a few attacks, the other two instantly caught up with Nono's realization and dodged the rest. Their senses flared and moved from the discreet sources once they ignored the 'bright' Ameyuri Ringo!

"Tsk, tsk!"

Three figures simultaneously flickered by the ledge, wearing porcelain masks with Kiri's mark carved on its surface.

Thick, pin-lined tops draped their bodies as they wore their dark hair into neat buns. Without another word, the three Shinobi from Kirigakure formed a hand seal, releasing a layer of mist within the Manor that curbed the trio's sight save for the explosions from those clay cocoons. Laced with their Chakra, the mist inhibited the Team's sensors as Mikoto strained her body to reactivate the Sharingan.

Hiding in the Mist was Kirigakure's most characteristic Jutsu, allowing the assassins to create the best stage for their practice as their victims barely sensed their deaths approaching until it was too late!

"Duck when I say," Kushina suddenly whispered as she wore a severe expression. "Grandpa Ryuji said it's too dangerous because I can't control it well, dattebane!"

Nono and Mikoto didn't bother asking WHAT she couldn't control.

Nono had no means to deal with Kiri's assassins as they were. Meanwhile, Sharingan drained Mikoto quite a bit during the earlier clash. So, the duo protectively condensed around Kushina, trying their best to discern any movement through the mist, for they knew the assassins would move the second they were confident about a killing blow!

Between the duo, Kushina bit her bottom lip as she felt unimaginable chakra pool within her abdomen, clanking and crashing into a form of power that she rarely released—a quirk that made her the best container for the demonic Kyubi after an even more devilish Mito!

Pale yellow blossomed near her stomach as she pulsed with might. Her red tresses floated without any indication, waving idly. Mikoto and Nono felt warmth from behind them, their backs protecting Kushina!

Instead of releasing all the stored energy, Kushina quietly waited. It tensed and strained her body, making each muscle and tendon shudder painfully! Her bottom lip quivered as the redhead held on until she bet on her instincts—

"Now," she whispered as Nono and Mikoto instantly ducked!

*Swish*

Two adamantine sealing chains rippled forth, smashing around and waving like ferocious dragons! Their links moved about, filling the air with metallic noise as their assaulter's Chakra and Mist dissipated around the chains!

One of the strongest Hiden inherited by the Uzumaki, the Adamantine Sealing Chains were distinct from the Adamantine Attacking Chains learned by many redheaded war apes!

"Aaggh!"

"Ugghk!"

Two pained noises leaked before the chains tore them apart, still waving around and barely avoiding the duo crouched near Kushina's thighs.

Yet, Kushina's eyes widened with despair as she didn't find the third assassin. Realizing something, she hurriedly looked up.

Her fears became a reality as she watched the masked figure coldly glaring at her through the slits behind the mask. The kunai was exceptionally near Kushina's forehead as her thoughts grew fervent and manic!

Those chains snapped around midair, responding to Kushina's desire as their blade-like ends pierced the assassin's direction.

Yet, it was too late.

The chained links won't reach the enemy in time, and Kushina closed her eyes and stood straighter than ever.

*Khccch*

Warm blood splashed over the trio as Kushina opened her eyes.

Two chains stabbed into the floating Kiri assassin… and Team 9's Sensei's shoulder, who tossed Kushina a bland glare over the dead assassin's shoulder.

"Ow," Tsunade narrowed her eyes. "Mind dispelling these fucking chains? They're draining my Chakra, too."

Yet, the woman maintained her vice-like grip over the Assassin's neck, holding him midair.

"S-Sensei?!" Relief washed over Kushina as she smiled widely.

"The chains!" Tsunade snapped angrily.

"I… I don't know how to stop the Jutsu until I run out of chakra." Kushina stammered as Tsunade turned pale. Gritting, the blonde forcefully pulled back, feeling the metal tear through her left shoulder before letting go of the dead assassin and covering the gaping hole with her hand, instantly activating the Mystic Palms.

The chains idly sank to the ground, unmoving like dead pythons.

Meanwhile, Mikoto and Nono finally looked up and quickly moved away from Kushina, afraid they'd get skewered next.

"Well," Tsunade muttered and looked around. "Fill me—"

"Hurry! You gotta save Kai-chan!"

"It's Ameyuri Ringo, Tsuande-Sama!"

"Why are you wasting your time on the shoulder, dattebane?!" Kushina panicked. "Send your clones after Kai-Chan!"

Tsunade thinned her lips.

Kushina deserved a beating for that—something Tsunade postponed until the next training session. The cheek on the redhead to pierce her shoulder then berate the Sensei for healing the injury…

Still, Tsunade knew her priorities and instantly formed a Shadow Clone, Water Clone, and Lightning Clone. Instead of sending them after Kai, Tsunade made the clones stay with the girls before flickering away.

<<<>>>

"Did you think that weak poison would be enough?!" Ameyuri's piercing giggle echoed as she zapped around Kai like lightning incarnate, her blades attacking his secured body from every side. Already aware of his resistance to Lightning and the generated heat, Ameyuri merely heightened her blade's cutting ability by infusing it with untainted chakra, leaving Kai's plated body with several cuts and deep gashes as he managed to avoid and defend every fatal attack!

"Speed is the most important instead of cheap tricks!" She hissed, appearing a head above Kai as she swung her blades down, stabbing him with those horn-like additions on the blade.

*Clang*

As he swung the woman away, sparks flickered between the blades and Kai's claws.

Flipping in midair, Ameyuri landed on her feet like any cat would.

"You're not nearly strong enough," Ameyuri grinned, blood staining her teeth. "Would have been more fun if you could have adopted the weight of your new body."

"Geez," Kai warbled. "I'm doing the best I can. Do you think I can create a Jutsu like this every day?"

Ameyuri instantly jerked into action, repeating the same cycle of lightning-quick attacks aimed at his vitals before taking a breath, suppressing the poison in her streams through Lightning-Infused Chakra.

'But why isn't he turning invisible again?' Ameyuri held the doubt until she cursed her lack of talent as a sensor!

She grinned.

"Kid! You must be almost running dry, eh?"

Kai's body momentarily froze before he pinned her with his quiet, compound gaze.

"Sigh," Ringo shook her head, somewhat losing her smile. "And I was starting to have fun. Well, you lasted the longest. You should be proud—"

"Oh, I am."

Ameyuri's senses screamed as she suddenly lunged ahead, finally noticing the figure ahead swaying. Yet, a monumental attack crashed on her back, slamming her into the ground.

'He can still turn invisible!' Ameyuri realized a moment too late when a kick sent her flying against the nearest tree. Her petite form crashed through the wood, tearing several trunks in her wake before she felt the familiar foot pin her into the ground with outstanding force!

*Crash*

The foot pressed further, forcing Ameyuri to cough a mouthful of blood before Kai's body became visible.

"That… was…" She wheezed, a smile blooming on her face. "Awesome…"

Kai almost took his leg away when he sensed something.

*Ting*

He instantly moved sideways, blocking the lightning sword aimed for the back of his head—

It was only one sword!

Kai's eyes briefly widened. Ameyuri clenched the other sword, swinging it at his head from behind. He won't be able to dodge it—

*Poof*

A plume of smoke surprised and filled Ameyuri's vision as she panicked and blocked the other Kiba Sword, held by a youth whose grin appeared and felt as feral as hers!

He was determined to outshine her if she boasted about being relentless!

However, it was Kai's loss.

His transformation was one thing protecting him from Ameyuri's lightning. Undoing it was the best way to dodge her attack and preserve his life, yet it exposed him!

Ameyuri felt some pity in her gut.

It honestly was more fun than she imagined.

The boy was no Jonin, but he was an elite.

Lightning sparkled in her Kiba when she noticed something—

A massive tail sprung forth from the plume of smoke, instantly wrapping the haggard Ameyuri before stabbing her neck with the stinger.

The lightning fizzled, and Ameyuri instantly fell to her knees. Then, she watched Kai coldly kick her face, the force intense enough to propel her body against the nearest tree.

Their battle was fraught with twists and turns!

Even now, Kai had used the remnants of Chakra to remove the transformation and use it again with the smoke as a disguise to create a scorpion stinger with enough instant-acting paralyzing agent to subdue the renowned Ameyuri Ringo!

"Well," Kai staggered to Ameyuri after sealing the two swords. A kunai made its way into his grip as he smiled sincerely.

"I know how to handle a rejection. Still, it was fun."

Unable to move her body, Ameyuri could only meet his gaze with a note of satisfied approval in her eyes. She might currently look pathetic, but Kai took a moment to appreciate her before smiling wickedly.

"Oh, who cares if you live or die, right? I can preserve your body~!"

Ameyuri's eyes couldn't even widen as she tried to move!

The fuck?!

The kid couldn't be such a freak—

"Pfft!" Kai suddenly broke into exhausted giggles as he crouched beside Ameyuri, calmly cutting the red cloth tied to the sides of her head.

"I'm just messing with you."

Kai observed the questioning look before shrugging. "I wanna know who put a bounty over my head. I can't possibly interrogate a dead person, right? But don't worry, I don't like enslaving others or capturing prisoners. I'll let you go or kill you after I find out everything."

"So," Kai punctured a few spots on her body with senbons. "Sleep."

<<<>>>

Tsunade's breath hitched as she observed the trail of destruction and death, her heart faltering at the thought of innocent losses… and the paperwork for the administration caused by their actions.

Torn buildings, charred craters, burning spots, puddles of blood, dried corpses, rodents feasting on flesh in dark alleys, destroyed perimeters, and more!

She moved quickly, sensing Kai in the woods.

Her eyes widened when she found him sitting against a tree, playing with cinnamon as the white snake coiled around his finger before trying to swallow it whole.

"Sensei?" Kai chuckled wearily. "I'm not seeing right, but I think you got another hole."

Tsunade resisted the urge to scoff and looked around. Her sharp glare landed on Kai as she tried to deduce if he was an imposter, something his earlier remark had made clear enough.

Sighing, Tsunade staggered to Kai before slumping beside him.

"Guess what? Kushina did more damage to me than that Explosion Release user."

"Heh," Kai smirked.

"Where's Ameyuri Ringo, Kai?"

"Dead," he hummed.

Tsunade grew silent before nodding.

"I see. You did a good job surviving."

"Surviving?" the youth scoffed. "I did more than that AND got the Kiba Swords. And did you just hear what I said? I took out one of the Seven Shinobi Swordsmen—one of the stronger ones, too!"

"I'm not settling for anything under becoming the youngest Jonin and that open-air bath you promised!"

"I didn't promise anything," Tsunade muttered, finally feeling weak. Those chains were nothing to scoff at! She leaned her head atop Kai's, chuckling. "Whatever, we all could do with a short break and rest."

Kai's smile turned victorious as they stayed in the spot for a few minutes before helping each other up and moving.

Yet, Kai's disappointment was almost immeasurable once he watched the spy stagger from the hidden room.

"Sigh…" He suddenly attacked the man with a kunai.

*Puchi*

The man fell to the ground, sporting wide eyes.

Everyone around Kai was silent, too shocked to speak!

Yet, a sizzling sound echoed the next second.

A layer of something melted off the fat spy, revealing a toned corpse within.

"He was a spy… but not from Konoha. Well, this mission was a giant bust."

Kai glanced at Nono before looking at the dazed Tsunade.

"His Transformation Jutsu was supported by seals. I've seen that kind before, so I instantly recognized it."

He recognized it from Mito as she would transform into parchments and use Fuinjutsu to maintain her weight to be as light as a feather. Only this time, the Shinobi used it to increase his weight instead.

"Why… didn't we capture him?" Nono's quiet words buzzed as Kai tossed her an annoyed glare.

"I don't capture prisoners. It also wasn't on the mission list."

And Tsunade would be compelled to beeline to Konoha instead of the onsen!

Kai kept the most crucial reason a secret. Yet, a glare from Tsunade revealed she was onto him…

Well, that's a good position as any.
