Chapter 85 - Salis

On the other side, Alisha parted from Allen and went back to her room. As she entered, she saw a young man with silky brown hair and green eyes with reading glasses resting over the bridge of his long nose sitting in the waiting area.

As the man saw Alisha walk in, he instantly stood up and bowed his head in respect.

"Sit down, Salis. There is no need to be so formal. We have known each other since we were children," Alisha said as she sat down on the sofa opposite him. She poured a glass of juice for herself and asked, "Would you like some?"

Salis shook his head and made himself comfortable in his seat.

"We might have known each other for a long time, but that doesn't change the fact that you are a princess, and it is my duty to respect you," Salis said in a slightly playful yet serious tone.

Listening to this, Alisha just shook her head. "Some people just never change."

Salis smirked in response and asked, "Why did you want to meet me?"

"Straight to the topic as always," Alisha said with a smirk. She set the glass down on the table and got up. She went to the drawer next to her bed, took out three packets labeled A, B, and C, and handed them to him.

Looking at the packets, Salis furrowed his eyebrows and looked at Alisha with a face that seemed to ask, "What is this for?"

Alisha settled back in her seat. "I need you to run a DNA test on these samples for me."

"Whose samples are these? And if you just wanted me to do that, you could have sent them to the lab directly instead of calling me here."

"Don't act as if you don't understand what I'm asking you to do," Alisha said with a nonchalant attitude.

Salis raised his eyebrows and stared at Alisha for a few seconds in silence, which was broken by the frustrated Alisha.

"Fine… I want you to conduct a DNA test on those samples discreetly, and please don't ask me whose samples they are. I can't tell you."

Salis let out a sigh as he massaged the space between his eyebrows. "You know if Master Yi finds out about this, I will be in big trouble, right?"

"I know, but please, Salis, do this one favor for me. You are the only one I can trust with this," Alisha pleaded.

After a few minutes of extended silence, Salis spoke. "Fine, but you owe me one."

"Yes," Alisha readily agreed, to which Salis shook his head as if saying, "No one can help you."

"But I will need a few days. Master Yi is working on something important in the lab at the moment and doesn't let anyone in. I have to wait for him to finish his work before I can sneak in and do the test."

"No problem… I just need the test results before the day my mother has planned my sister's death anniversary."

Hearing this, Salis's eyes narrowed as a serious expression settled on his face. He looked at the samples and then back at Alisha.

"Did you find her?" he asked.

Alisha stared at him in silence for a few seconds, then let out a sigh. "I don't know yet. That's why I need these test results to confirm."

"I understand. Don't worry, I will try to get it done as soon as possible."

"Thank you," Alisha expressed her gratitude with a smile.
