The many adventurers continued to defend against the beast wave. When the ones at the front began to tire, adventurers at the back would quickly tag in, allowing those who had been fighting to get rest.
The long-range attackers that were continually attacking from the city walls also did similarly, swapping the ones who got tired.
Aala flew slightly above the crowd as she swapped between using healing bubbles on the returning injured, and shooting arrows at the beasts.
As she nocked another arrow she suddenly paused before aiming up a bit more and releasing an arrow.
It cut through the air and quickly embedded into the leg of a bat like creature which had moved to dodge the arrow as it was revealed.
It screeched in pain and glared at the fairy before it flew itself at her.
"Flying beasts incoming! Keep an eye on the sky!" Aala shouted as she quickly flew higher to get the bat away from the other archers.
