Chapter 1 - 1. I became a Fox?

Zion let out a soft groan and opened his eyes slowly before immediately shutting them again as the bright sunlight shone down right on his face.

He raised his hands and covered his eyes letting out another groan, "Too bright... turn off the light..." He tried to speak but all that came out of his mouth was a yipping sound.

He immediately froze as he realised, 'Wait... I can't speak? Also, I feel... fluffy hands?'

He opened his eyes again, squinting at the light as he looked at the 'hand' that had been over his eyes. He let out a surprised yelp as he suddenly jumped up and looked at the appearance of two fluffy white paws.

He then touched his face and felt a muzzle then he looked down at himself properly, seeing white fur that shimmered with rainbow colours when the light hit him, two hind paws and a big fluffy fox tail beside him. 'W-what... what the hell happened to me?!' He internally yelled in surprise.

[[Divine Fox System synchronising.....]]

'Divine... fox? System? Okay, slow down. What happened to me first? I remember... I was skydiving with my girlfriend and our best friends Carl and Tom. They gave me a parachute as they opened the plane doors.' He frowned to himself as he slowly pieced everything together.

'We all jumped and opened our parachutes after a while but when I opened mine, it was ripped so I couldn't slow down. Knowing what was coming next I shut my eyes, waiting for the end.'

Finally remembering what exactly happened before he woke up, he frowned to himself, 'I feel like it probably wasn't an accident... oh whatever. I'm most likely dead in that world. If the fact I've turned into an animal has told me anything, it's I'm not on earth anymore.'

Zion shook his head as he stood up, 'Alright, first things first... water.' He sniffed the air lightly and focused his hearing, unconsciously raising his ears high as he tried to determine where the nearest water source was.

He pinpointed its direction and started trotting that way. He seemed to measure about 45-55 cm long including his tail.

His fur looked white at first glance but as long as any sort of light shone on it, you could notice the rainbow colouring although, people would probably assume it's a trick of the light.

After walking for 5 minutes he found a small lake. He made sure no danger was around before he left the bushes, ears twitching as he looked around.

He first moved slowly out from the bushes but when nothing changed he sped up, moving to the lake edge and then looking at the surface of the lake.

He was met with elongated oval-shaped pupils and bright lilac-coloured fox eyes. He also got a good look at his new face. He looked... cute.

His ears were triangular with a sharper point on the tip of his ears and he had a small tuft of fur that poked up from the centre of his forehead, reminding him of the forehead fur of an electric dog with a star-shaped tail from an earth game he liked to play.

'Well... at least being cute I'm less likely to be killed by humans... I hope.' He thought as he lowered his head and lapped up some water.

He immediately felt the cold refreshing water slide down his parched throat and immediately sooth it, 'That's delicious water!' He quickly started lapping up the water faster happily.

[[Divine Fox System synchronised. The status window is now available. Please say or think 'status' to view.]]

Zion lifted his head in surprise when he heard the robotic, dull feminine voice speak again, 'I forgot about that. Uh... Status.'

The second he thought that a transparent grey box appeared in his vision.

'Woah... that's like a video game status window. That's awesome.' He sat down, curling his tail around his paws as he tilted his head, reading the information.

'Okay let's see... STR I'm assuming is strength which is likely my attack damage. AGI would be agility, movement and dodging speed. CON... constitution which is usually the HP. DEF is the defence, which I'm assuming is of course how strong my body is against attacks. Armour would increase that most likely. INT would be intelligence and that's usually the mana and magic damage that leaves CHA. Charisma is usually based on appearance which explains why mine is so high. I'm a cute rainbow fox.'

He moved his eyes down to the other things below the stats and frowned a bit, 'No spells don't surprise me but only two skills? What are bite and slash?'

Just as he thought that question, two new boxes suddenly showed up with the information of the skills.

[[Bite (E): Bite down on your foe and cause twice the damage of the STR stat.]]

[[Slash: Slashes the foe with your claws and causes twice the damage of the STR stat.]]

'Oh? You can answer questions System?' He tilts his head in surprise.

[[The system can explain details of spells, skills and the stats as well as answer some questions host may have.]]

'That... that's pretty cool.' He smiled which just showed off a bunch of small fox fangs.

'This seems like... it's going to be pretty fun.'
