It had been five days since the party became adventurers. They constantly went on quests, killing beasts or helping out around the city.
They had decided to hold off on any quests that took them too far from the city for now, at least until they decided on what to do with Max.
However, so far, all of them were happy with his performance. He would perfectly block attacks with his shield, or he would counterattack with a well-timed punch.
He made their fights with monsters that were slightly stronger much more manageable. And due to that, Zion was only 50 exp away from reaching level 20 and his next evolution. He was excited about that since the last time he evolved was when he was level 15, eight and a half years ago.
They were returning from another Hunting task, this time one just asking them to kill a boar beast that was causing issues nearby when they noticed people were overly excited about something.
