A man in his early 20s sat comfortably in his home, enjoying his day off while reading Naruto: Eye System (Rewrite) on his web novel app. However, his peaceful moment was suddenly interrupted when a bright white light engulfed him, and before he could react, he lost consciousness.
When he woke up, he found himself in an unfamiliar room. Panic surged through him as he looked around. The room was decent but messy, with books, two school bags, and various other items scattered across the floor.
His gaze then shifted to a person sitting on a sofa, scribbling in a notebook while occasionally glancing at his phone. The man had black hair, wore glasses, and had brown eyes. He appeared to be of average height, slightly lean, dressed in a black jacket over a white T-shirt with baggy pants. Beside him was a plate of half-finished fried rice. He looked up at the confused man and smiled.
"Please, have a seat," he said, pointing to a chair opposite the sofa. His voice was slightly deep.
Still shaken, the man hesitantly sat down, his voice trembling. "I-I don't know who you are, but please let me go! I don't have anything of value! I don't even have cash on me, and my account isn't that great either!" Fear was evident in his eyes. One moment he was enjoying a fanfic, and the next, he was in an unknown place with a complete stranger.
The stranger merely chuckled and said, "Don't be afraid. I'm not going to do anything bad to you. In fact, I'm here to give you a gift. Congratulations, *****, or should I say... Yami? Ringing any bells?" His smirk deepened.
Yami's eyes widened as he tried to recall why that name sounded familiar. Then, a memory surfaced—before Naruto: Eye System was rewritten, he had left a comment on it. His hands trembled as he pointed at the man. "Y-you're—"
The man laughed, cutting him off. "I am SKM. One of the newly graduated gods from the Divine Academy. I even completed a Diploma in Fanfiction!" He grinned. "I create dimensions based on anime I like and send lucky winners from my fanfictions into those worlds for the entertainment of mortals."
Yami was stunned. The person sitting before him was a god?!
Before he could freak out, SKM spoke again. "Relax. I already said I'm not here to harm you."
Yami took a deep breath, trying to process everything. He even pinched himself, but the pain confirmed that this was real. He looked at SKM, realization dawning upon him. "T-that means... my comment..."
"Is real," SKM confirmed with a nod.
"I've selected you to go to the One Piece world I created. But don't worry—I've prepared a Devil Fruit with powers from another world and will grant you three wishes to help in your journey."
Yami fell silent, his mind racing. Like any anime fan, he had often dreamed of traveling to different worlds, but now that it was actually happening, hesitation gripped him. He had a family... could he really leave them behind?
SKM seemed to read his thoughts and smirked. "Don't worry, I've already taken care of that. When I transferred your soul here, I cloned it and sent your clone back to your original body. He lived your life, took care of your family, got married, had kids, grew old, and just now, at the age of 89, he took his final breath in a hospital."
As he finished speaking, a white light appeared in his hand, which he flicked toward Yami.
The light entered Yami's head, and suddenly, memories flooded his mind—memories of growing old, of cherishing time with his loved ones, of his final moments on his deathbed. He gasped, overwhelmed.
"Is this... real?" he whispered.
SKM nodded. "Yeah. Now hurry up and make your wishes! We don't have all day. Your Devil Fruit will be granted once you arrive in the One Piece world. However, you can't wish for abilities from outside One Piece, nor can you ask for more wishes or broken abilities like Devil Fruit awakening from the start or all three Haki at god-tier levels."
Yami took a deep breath. He needed to think carefully. One Piece was a world of monsters—people who could destroy mountains with their bare hands. He had to be prepared.
"Before I decide, I need to ask something. If I'm being transmigrated, is my body naturally strong by One Piece standards? Do I have Haki? And if I'm being reincarnated, who will I be?"
SKM smirked. "You'll be taking over the body of a young man who was about to die from a heart attack after witnessing his parents' execution by the Marines. His talent for Haki is decent, but he doesn't have Conqueror's Haki. Right now, his body is in Loguetown."
"As for your Devil Fruit, it's the Minecraft Minecraft no Mi, a Paramecia-type fruit. It gives you the abilities of Minecraft, including an inventory with unlimited items. However, you don't have Creative Mode's flight or immortality—you can die. In its unawakened state, summoning items will consume stamina, and the stronger the item, the more stamina it takes. You'll need to train to reduce the stamina drain."
"Additionally, if you summon mobs, they won't obey you unless you defeat their leader first. Also, while you can access mods, you can only keep one mod awakened at a time. If you want to use another mod, you'll need to switch them out. And keep in mind, all Minecraft-related abilities will be balanced to fit One Piece's power levels."
Yami listened carefully. It was a powerful fruit, but it had limitations. That was fair. Now, it was time to make his wishes.
After thinking for a moment, he spoke.
"For my first wish, I want all three types of Haki with the best learning potential, surpassing anyone in the One Piece world."
"For my second wish, I want the ability to extract Devil Fruits from both the living and the dead, storing them in my inventory until I choose to take them out."
"For my third wish, I want the 100% pure Lunarian bloodline with the strongest potential, even greater than the entire Lunarian race."
SKM nodded in approval. "Wish granted."
Then, he clapped his hands together. "Well, that's all set! Now, I need to post this chapter, so off you go! Best of luck!"
A portal suddenly opened beneath Yami, and before he could react, he was sucked in.
SKM then turned toward the screen and smirked. "Well then, pals, I hope you liked it! Let me know in the comments how you think I should take this story forward and what kind of character Yami should be like..."
He waved his hand and ended with his iconic closing line:
"Find out next time on One Piece: The Minecraft Devil!"
