Ashley's POV
My heart pounded as Alpha Jackson's rage filled the narrow hallway. The air was so tense that it cracked and was thick enough to cut. His dark eyes let me feel the storm building behind them—the raw, uncontrolled anger that could destroy anything in its way. His clenched hands at his sides were shaking, and he could barely hold back the anger that was building up inside him.
I took a careful step back as my body went into high alert. My breath caught. Jackson's anger was like a natural force that I might not be able to stand up to by myself. Every second that went by, Celine's statement got tighter and tighter in the air.
I asked Celine, "What the fuck?" Jackson's voice was a low growl that shook my bones and went through the walls. I got a chill from the cold tone of his words.
