Kira knew that she was a very boring person. Her morning routine was the same thing every single day. She woke up 5 o'clock then brushed her teeth, washed her face, got dressed, and ate a bagel. Kira always left her apartment at 6:00 and arrived at work by 6:15. She would then leave work at 12:00 to arrive at her college at exactly 1:00. After studying and classes Kira arrived home at 8:15 and prepared for bed. Kira was a machine that only worked. She never watched tv nor played video games, she was always punctual and got her work done. She was like any other medical student with less than ideal funds.
That was why Kira currently wondered why the head of the Emerson family and CEO of Maua Medical Technology wanted her to vist him.
She had been in the middle of brushing her teeth when she had received a call from an unknown number. Kira spat out the toothpaste and whipped her mouth before answering the call. "Hello is this Kira Fletcher?" A man's voice asked.
"This is she" Kira replied as she fiddled with the ends of her black hair. A nervous tick that she never got rid of.
The man's voice spoke again "I am the secretary of Mr. Emerson, He has expressed his desire to meet with you" Kira looked at the phone suspiciously. Mr. Emerson had been her role model for years because of his advancements in the medical field that helped revolutionize virology, the study of viruses.
Why would he be trying to get in contact with her. "Is this a prank, if so it's not funny" Kira said getting annoyed.
"No no this is not a prank, Mr. Emerson does want to get in contact with you, he has even scheduled a business meeting for tomorrow afternoon at Eaglecut!" He exclaimed.
"What time is it?"
"The meeting will be at 12:30 and a table will be reserved under Mr. Emerson's name" Kira could almost hear his smile as he spoke.
"I'll be there" she said reluctantly. She was ninety nine percent sure she was getting pranked. She had only said yes because she was an annoyingly curious person. It was a trait about herself that she sometimes loathed.
"Perfect we will see you there Mrs. Fletcher" he exclaimed before hanging up. Kira set her phone down regretting her decision. She then hurried with the rest of her morning routine she could not let her schedule get ruined just because she took one phone call. Kira was out the door by 6:00 and to work at 6:15.
