Chapter 46 - The Emperor is Above

For five consecutive days, the logistics machinery was fully devoted to producing transmission protection devices.

In order to make the transmission protection device more convenient to carry, Qin Mo miniaturized it and integrated it into the backpack on the back of the ordinary soldier's power armor. Of course, the guards power armor was also integrated with the protective device.

Since there is no need for intergalactic travel for the time being, Qin Mo did not continue to study dimensional technology to invent a dimensional engine, but instead did another important thing first.

That is to turn Yaoen into a warrior.

Outside the fortress, Gray and Groot were fighting with Yaoen, and all three of them were wearing the power armor of the guards.

Qin Mo was observing quietly from the side and recording Yao En's data.

"What a coward!" Gray yelled as he used a shotgun laser to shoot at Yaoen. "You're just as cowardly as when you faced the mutant spiders in the tunnel, except you haven't been scared yet!"

Yaoen dodged in panic, but Gray's shotgun laser always hit him and was then absorbed by the power armor.

"The 1,420th hit." Qin Mo was somewhat helpless.

Yao En has fighting ability, just like all other Bottomnesters.

But he was too inferior and cowardly. Facing Gray's shooting, he didn't dare to fight back but simply dodged. How could he, a man who had just put on the Royal Guards power armor, dodge Gray's attack?

"Don't fucking dodge!" Groot went up and kicked Yaoen, knocking him down, then rode on him and punched him in the head.

Every time Yaoen's helmeted head was hit, it would hit the ground. He was simultaneously enduring the shock of Groot's fist and the hitting the ground, and his mind was a little unclear.

"Enough." Qin Mo raised his hand to stop him.

Groot immediately stood up and stepped back, glaring at Yaoen angrily.

Yao En took a while to get up, took off his helmet and apologized to Qin Mo; "I'm sorry to disappoint you."

"No, people need time to grow and learn. You just need more teaching." Qin Mo shook his head slightly, then looked at Groot.

Although he didn't say anything, Groot understood what Qin Mo meant. He walked towards Yaoen, grabbed his neck and forced him to stand up: "From now on, I will teach you a lesson and let you learn how to fight. You are now simply defiling the Royal Guard Armor on your body!"

When Groot took Yaoen away, Gray suddenly felt relieved. He breathed a sigh of relief and looked at Qin Mo: "Excuse me, this person is really not suitable to be a soldier."

"It's not suitable for now, but it doesn't matter, Groot will teach him." Qin Mo said.

Gray couldn't understand why Qin Mo was so obsessed with Yao En, but he knew that there was a reason for everything Qin Mo did.

"What do you think about the servants' affairs?" Qin Mo asked.

Gray immediately remembered that Qin Mo had ordered him to monitor the Servant yesterday, and answered without hesitation: "The Servant has undoubtedly betrayed the Emperor."

Qin Mo nodded.

But Gray hesitated again, and then whispered: "But I think it's right for them to believe in you, because it was you who brought us out of the desperate situation, and the miracles you performed..."

"I also think of myself as a god, but I don't need their faith, and their faith may lead to them being exploited." Qin Mo lowered his voice, "Imagine if these people were corrupted by something strange and suddenly became rebels..."

Gray didn't understand this sentence, because he didn't know why the servants would be corrupted, and what could corrupt them?

As one of the vast majority of civilians in the Empire, Gray was unaware of the existence of Chaos.

"Forget it." Qin Mo couldn't explain to Graydo. After all, he was not an untouchable. "How about this, you go and warn them not to spread their faith anymore, because I am the Emperor's messenger."

"Yes..." Gray nodded and turned to leave.

As he watched Gray leave, Qin Mo savored the words "Emperor's Messenger".

Then Qin Mo himself could not hold it in any longer, thinking that if he was not worried about Chaos taking the opportunity to corrupt him or the state religion causing trouble, he should have gladly accepted the worship from his followers.

...

Five days later.

After all the ground troops were mobilized and assembled to start receiving protective equipment, Duncan also obtained his own protective equipment to replace the ordinary backpack on the back of the power armor.

At the same time, Duncan received a direct order from Qin Mo, which was to leave the bottom nest first as the first person to be teleported, and then drop a teleportation beacon outside the blocked passage to ensure that the large force could be successfully teleported.

After the teleporter was charged and Duncan was ready, he was teleported out of the bottom nest.

The protective device released a shield the moment the teleportation began, so Duncan was not tortured to death like the first criminal who used teleportation.

After the main control intelligence performed a large number of calculations and determined the best transmission location, Duncan was sent into the dimensional channel.

It was a unique experience.

When Duncan lowered his head, he could see his own body, and the surrounding environment began to blur, but he could clearly feel what was around him.

It wasn't until Duncan felt something pulling him back into his body and after he got used to his body again, he found that everything around him had changed.

Behind him was a large open area, and the giant building in the distance was the checkpoint leading to the bottom nest, which was completely blocked.

In front of him was a defensive position jointly established by the planetary defense force and the Hive City Law Department.

After the transmission, Duncan looked towards the defensive position in front of him and found that countless heavy weapons were aimed at him. The soldiers on the position had already placed their rifles on the bunkers and were ready for battle.

At this time, a general brought people from the Ministry of Justice to the front line of the position. He looked at Duncan in amazement, and his jaw almost dropped to the ground.

This man in power armor appeared completely out of thin air, and the others only saw an energy crack appearing where Duncan was standing.

"Are you human or alien?" the general asked loudly.

Duncan took off his helmet and revealed his true identity. "I am Duncan, commander of the 87th Infantry Regiment of the First Legion."

"The 87th Regiment? Are you kidding me?" The general looked at the blocked passage in disbelief. "How could you still be alive?"

Duncan took out the teleportation beacon, turned around and threw it back with all his strength.

The spherical beacon was immediately fixed after it fell to the ground, and the outer shell unfolded outward to reveal the positioning data transmitter.

Everyone except Duncan was confused and didn't know what this was going to do.

"I'm still alive." Duncan glared at the general and said in a cold tone, "We are all still alive."

A large number of energy cracks appeared on the open ground. The drones that generated gravity shields appeared first, followed by Gray and others wearing the Royal Guards power armor, and then other infantry, tanks, unmanned artillery, logistics machinery...

The troops were teleported over, neatly arranged and ready for battle.

Seeing this, the general's dry lips slowly opened and closed: "Your Majesty, Your Majesty..."
