Chujiu offered a reassuring smile. "I've practiced with my invisibility a lot. I can sense my surroundings and move carefully. Besides, it's the element of surprise that gives us the advantage."
A long pause ensued. The weight of the decision hung heavy in the air. Finally, Ye Simming spoke, his voice resolute.
"Alright, Chujiu. We'll do it your way. Just be careful out there."
Xianyu nodded in agreement, her eyes filled with newfound determination.
A sense of unity formed within the small flying machine. Despite their differences and the uncertainty ahead, they were a team, bound together by a common purpose - survival.
Chujiu steered the flying machine lower, her eyes scanning for their target. They needed to be strategic. Choosing the right group would be crucial for the success of their plan.
"There!" she exclaimed, pointing towards a clearing in the distance. A group of ten black-clad figures huddled together, their voices barely audible.
"Looks like a good starting point," Ye Simming muttered, his hand already gripping the hilt of his sword.
Chujiu took a deep breath, her heart pounding in her chest. A mix of nervousness and excitement surged through her. This was her first time using her invisibility function in a real combat situation.
"Alright," she whispered, her voice firm. "Remember, stay focused and communicate. Let's do this."
With a determined nod, Chujiu activated the invisibility function of her space ring.
"Alright, I'm invisible," she whispered, her voice slightly distorted as if muffled by a thin layer of cloth.
"Be careful, Chujiu," Xianyu said, her voice laced with concern. "We can't see you, but we'll listen for any sounds."
Ye Simming, added, "We'll create a diversion. You use the surprise to your advantage and take out as many as you can quietly. If things get loud, come back immediately."
Chujiu gave a silent thumbs-up, her eyes fixed on the group of assassins below. They seemed to be arguing about something, their voices tense and hushed. This was their chance.
The flying machine dipped silently towards the clearing. With a prearranged signal, Ye Simming and Xianyu leaped out, landing gracefully amongst the surprised assassins.
"Who dares interrupt us?" boomed the leader of the black-clad group, his voice filled with arrogance.
Ye Simming, his sword already drawn, smirked. "Just some unexpected guests who decided to crash your little party."
A fierce battle erupted. Ye Simming, a master swordsman, moved with lightning speed, his blade flashing through the air. Xianyu, agile and graceful, weaved a deadly dance with her daggers, her movements enhanced by her connection with nature.
From the shadows, Chujiu became a silent predator. Utilizing her invisibility, she stalked her prey, her senses on high alert. With a swift movement, she snatched a dagger from her storage ring and materialised behind an unsuspecting assassin. A quick jab, a muffled grunt, and the assassin crumpled to the ground, lifeless.
One by one, Chujiu eliminated the assassins on the outskirts of the fight. Each silent takedown added to the confusion amongst the remaining attackers. They couldn't understand where the extra blows were coming from, their fear and panic escalating with each fallen comrade.
The leader, enraged and desperate, unleashed a powerful energy blast towards Ye Simming. Chujiu, leaped in forward. In a flash of invisible movement, she appeared behind him, her fist clenched tight. With a powerful punch, imbued with all her strength, she connected with the back of his neck.
The leader, caught off guard by the unexpected blow, crumpled to the ground, unconscious. The remaining assassins, their leader incapacitated and their morale shattered, looked around in utter confusion.
Ye Simming, quickly recovering from his initial shock, assessed the situation.
He Killed the remaining assassins well coordinating with Xinyu.
"We can't stay here," Ye Simming said, wiping the blood from a minor cut on his arm. "There might be more assassins nearby who heard the commotion."
Chujiu nodded in agreement. Their mission was successful – they had eliminated one group of assassins and learned some valuable information about the red cards.
Their first mission is completed in just 10min.
"Get on board," she instructed, guiding them back to the flying machine. With Xianyu resting and Ye Simming keeping watch, Chujiu steered the machine away from the clearing, disappearing into the thickening twilight sky.
As they flew, a heavy silence descended upon them. The adrenaline rush from the fight slowly subsided, replaced by a sense of exhaustion and the unsettling weight of the situation.
Still there are nine teams, they have to eliminate as many as possible and return to their before midnight.
The team of three people followed the same pattern and eliminated a few other groups.
The Flying Machine slowly landed on the ground. Using stealth mode On and Off, Chujiu has used up more than half of the remaining black stone energy.
Now, it will only work for 45 min, she has to carefully plan their return to the camp without anyone noticing.
Chujiu, at the helm, steered them with focused precision. Beside her, Ye Simming and Bai Xianyu sat, their faces etched with grim determination.
"Six groups down," Chujiu announced, her voice low. "We will deal with one more group and will return to the camp. We cannot stay much longer."
Ye Simming nodded, wiping sweat from his brow. "Agreed. Taking on those smaller groups with your invisibility has been surprisingly effective."
Its already dark, they have to return.
Xianyu, her eyes are calm, "Chujiu. Being invisible doesn't mean you're invincible."
Chujiu chuckled, a sound surprisingly warm in the tense atmosphere. "Don't worry, I'm cautious. Besides, having both of you fighting head-on like a whirlwind keeps most of the attention away from me."
They continued their silent flight, the weight of their situation hanging heavy in the air. Who were these black-clad assassins? Why were they targeting the younger generation participating in the hunting festival? Every eliminated group provided them with a small red card, confirming their theory about bypassing the festival array. Yet, the answers remained elusive.
Suddenly, Chujiu pointed down. "Another group!" she exclaimed, her voice barely a whisper. In the clearing below, a group of eight black-clad figures stood huddled together, their voices low and urgent.
Chujiu glanced at Xianyu. "Ready?"
