"Please, don't kill me! Let me go, I'll tell you everything!"
As soon as Indra finished speaking, the man suddenly knelt before him, begging bitterly.
Lorna Dane glanced disdainfully at the man kneeling on the ground and muttered softly, "With such little courage, how dare you be a kidnapper?"
After saying this, she turned away, seemingly unwilling to look at the man any longer.
"Why did you capture Anna?" Indra asked the man, his expression unchanged.
"For the money!" The man looked at Indra, his eyes filled with fear, and complained, "Nowadays, who would do such things if not for money?"
Hearing this, Lorna Dane suddenly turned around and shouted angrily, "For money, you think you can kidnap a little girl and kill her parents?!"
At this moment, her glowing right hand had already formed a fist.
The man sighed helplessly and said, "I was forced into this."
He pointed to a half-eaten hamburger on the ground and said, "This is the best food I've had in a long time."
The man's tone was sincere, and his expression was one of terror, making him seem like someone driven to crime by poverty.
"I think the world owes you an Oscar," Indra looked at the man with a sneer. "Do you really think everyone in the world is stupid?"
"You kidnapped a little girl for money and ended up killing her parents. So, let me ask you, where were you planning to get the money from?"
The man's eyes flickered, as if stumped by the question, and he didn't answer.
Indra sneered, suddenly grabbing the man's hand and turning it over, revealing a tattoo on his wrist. It was ten circles with two crossed scimitars in the middle.
Indra had seen this symbol on TV many times.
"You're from the Ten Rings, aren't you?" Indra asked coldly, his gaze sharp.
The man was startled, looking down at the tattoo on his hand in surprise, "How did you know?"
His tattoo was on his wrist, and he was wearing long sleeves, which made him wonder how Indra had seen it.
Lorna Dane was clearly surprised as well. She looked at the tattoo on the man's hand and then at Indra, asking, "How did you notice that? Do you really have X-ray vision?"
Indra chuckled lightly and said, "I just got lucky."
In fact, although the man was wearing long sleeves, he hadn't buttoned his cuffs. So when he raised his hand, Indra noticed the tattoo. If it were an ordinary tattoo, Indra wouldn't have paid it much attention. But this was the symbol of the Ten Rings, meaning he was one of Mandarin's men, something Indra couldn't ignore.
"Since you've been found out, there's no need to hide anymore." The man, his identity exposed, no longer saw a need to pretend. He stood up, abandoning his earlier panic, and calmly said, "Kill me! I won't tell you anything!"
To prove his resolve, he raised his head and exposed his neck, as if ready to die.
For someone who isn't afraid of death, there's nothing in the world that can threaten him. Naturally, Indra didn't plan to waste words. He took out a scepter from a black bag and touched the man's chest with it. The previously proud man immediately became dazed, staring blankly at Indra.
"Why did you capture Anna?" Indra asked.
"I don't know," the man shook his head. "Mandarin ordered us to capture her at all costs."
Indra frowned. At all costs? To capture a little girl? This puzzled him. "What do you know? Speak," Indra demanded.
The man, still expressionless, said, "Mandarin is very powerful and has ten magic rings. At its peak, the Ten Rings had over a thousand members. After Iron Man appeared and the US government cracked down, Mandarin was imprisoned and the Ten Rings declined. Now, the Ten Rings have only a few hundred members, secretly led by Samanke. Samanke somehow met a doctor named Killian. Killian is researching something terrifying that can make people explode or become stronger. Some desperate people were sent to him by Samanke. Their goal was to create chaos in New York and rescue Mandarin at all costs. The operation was successful despite many casualties, and Mandarin was rescued. After his release, Mandarin vowed to kill all superheroes. Because you recently killed Killian and became famous, Mandarin decided to target you first."
The man's eyes were vacant as he recited everything he knew, like a student reciting a lesson.
Decided to target me because of my fame? Indra took a deep breath, feeling a surge of anger.
"Where is Mandarin?" Indra asked, a hint of danger in his eyes.
The man still stared blankly at Indra, "Mandarin said he would kill you first, then Iron Man. Before leaving, someone told me to stay here and kill her." The man glanced at Anna and continued, "They said they were going to a company... Iron Man's company."
Indra was puzzled. Iron Man's company? Stark Industries? Didn't they say Mandarin was at the broadcast station? Why would he be at Stark Industries?
Lorna Dane also noticed this discrepancy and angrily said, "Mandarin is supposed to be in the broadcast building!"
The man shook his head woodenly, "That's what they told me. I don't know anything about a broadcast building."
The man was under the control of the Mind Stone, making it impossible for him to lie. He was Mandarin's subordinate and had information that Mandarin went to Stark Industries. But S.H.I.E.L.D. discovered Mandarin at the broadcast building. Was this a diversion, or did Mandarin change locations mid-way? Forget it, let's go check out Stark Industries. S.H.I.E.L.D. has already surrounded the broadcast building anyway.
With this thought, Indra waved his hand and said to Lorna Dane, "Let's go to Iron Man's company."
Lorna Dane nodded, turning to follow Indra out of the nuclear plant.
Behind them, gunshots and screams echoed...
