Chapter 32 - Chapter 31 It ended before even started

Killian suddenly burst into laughter, as if he'd just heard the most absurd joke in the world.

The next second, his expression darkened, and he glared at Indra. "You think you can kill me?!"

"You only became this powerful because you used the serum I developed! Let me tell you, the one you used was just a prototype. I've created an enhanced version and taken it myself!"

"Now, I'm stronger than you!"

With that, red flames erupted from Killian's body, as if to demonstrate his superiority to Indra. It was a clear message: without Killian, Indra was nothing.

Nearby, Iron Man struggled to his feet and looked at Indra. "You should leave. You can't beat him. He has too many people!"

Indra ignored Iron Man. He simply shook his head, sighed, and looked at Killian. "It's really sad how highly you think of yourself."

"You still don't get it. The reason I'm strong is because of my luck—it's always 100% good."

As soon as Indra finished speaking, Killian laughed.

Iron Man watched Indra with a troubled expression. Black Widow and Hawkeye also looked perplexed. What was this man thinking? Did he really consider good luck a superpower?

While luck might help in minor situations, how could it possibly save him here? If the firemen attacked him en masse, not even good luck would keep him safe!

Iron Man glanced helplessly at the communicator on the ground.

"Luck?" Killian sneered. "Let me tell you, luck must bow before absolute power!"

He glared at Indra and spoke with fierce determination. Just then, red flames began to flicker around Indra's body, surprising Black Widow and Hawkeye. Though they had sensed something unusual about him before, they hadn't realized he could harness the Extremis virus.

Killian, however, wasn't scared. He shook his head, smiling. This man had no idea of the true gap between their powers.

"I don't think you understand what I'm saying. You're completely outmatched!" Killian mocked Indra. "I'll show you what true power is!"

Killian prepared to strike, but Indra suddenly shouted, "Wait!"

Killian paused, raising his chin with a contemptuous smirk. "What? Are you scared? Ready to beg to surrender?"

Indra smirked back, opening the bag on his back. A fair fight? No way! He wasn't stupid enough to take on Killian and his men all by himself.

Feeling invincible after tearing apart Iron Man's armor, Killian watched Indra retrieve something from his bag with disdain. "Whatever you pull out, it won't help you against me."

Seizing the moment, Iron Man dashed to pick up the communicator. "Jarvis, I need a suit!"

"Right away, sir."

Meanwhile, Indra pulled out a scepter from his black bag. Killian scoffed when he saw it. "Do you really think you can fight me with a walking stick?"

Killian suddenly burst into laughter, as if he had just heard the most absurd joke in the world.

"Do you really think you can kill me?" he said, laughing arrogantly.

Those watching the live broadcast had assumed that Indra, with his fiery appearance, might stand a chance. But seeing him wielding a scepter, they don't know if Indra really going to win but scepter was really cool looking atlest.

"Does he think he's cosplaying? Use a gun! Or a nuke! Iron Man's suit couldn't even hold up! What good is a this?"

The audience had no idea what Indra was holding, but the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. certainly did.

"Isn't that... the scepter we just took from Loki? How is it... in his hands?!" Nick Fury exclaimed, his face inches from the screen, unable to hide his astonishment.

Iron Man's face mirrored the shock. "The scepter was in S.H.I.E.L.D. custody. How did he get it? Someone explain!"

The scepter wasn't just a prop; its power was formidable. Indra, looking at the smug Killian, sighed and shook his head. "Ignorant fool. You know nothing about this universe."

Before Killian could react, Indra tapped his chest with the scepter. An unknown force enveloped Killian, swiftly seizing control of his mind. In an instant, Killian's arrogant expression turned blank.

Indra sneered, "Kneel."

Without hesitation, Killian dropped to his knees.

The viewers, who had been drowning in despair, praying for a hero to vanquish the terrifying fire-breather, were dumbfounded. The villain just... knelt?

Did they win? They hadn't even fought yet!

In the next scene, Indra commanded Killian, "Give me the cure for the Extremis virus."

Killian handed over two silver vials, his face devoid of emotion. "These are the only two complete cures. The rest are incomplete."

Indra nodded, seemingly satisfied. He then raised the scepter, firing a beam that pierced Killian's heart.

Killian, as if snapping back to reality, gasped in agony. "What did you do to me..." But before he could finish, he exploded into pieces.

Seeing Killian's demise, the other Extremis soldiers inexplicably fled. S.H.I.E.L.D. agents quickly pursued them.

Indra stood there, puzzled. These soldiers, supposedly fearless, shouldn't have run away just because Killian died. Why didn't they fight? He had been ready for a battle.

While Indra pondered, a wave of cheers and shouts erupted throughout the city. The freed hostages and their families approached Indra, expressing their heartfelt gratitude and shaking his hand.

"You are very brave. You are our hero. I must reward and honor you!" President Matthew Ellis exclaimed excitedly.

Indra smiled kindly and nodded. The president, surrounded by bodyguards, was safely escorted away.

Iron Man, after rescuing Pepper, walked over with Hawkeye and Black Widow. They all looked at Indra, their faces full of curiosity.

"Where did you get that scepter?" they asked in unison.

Indra's eyes glinted with a knowing smile. "That's a story for another time."
