Indra muttered to himself, "Her eyes are clear. Cap is a jerk." Then, turning to the girl, he asked, "But I'm a villain… aren't you afraid of me?"

She shook her head again. "You're not a bad person, brother… And you gave me a hamburger. Besides, we're the same. We can both breathe fire."

She pointed to both of them. Indra frowned. She was right—they were both Extremis survivors.

"I don't know how to get home. I ended up here by accident. I've been walking for so long… My shoes and clothes are ruined… I just want to go home…" The girl's voice was filled with desperation.

Indra considered. He was headed to New York anyway. Taking her along wouldn't be too much trouble. He looked at the girl and said, "Alright, but let's be clear. I'm only taking you to New York."

The girl nodded vigorously, a joyful smile breaking through her fear.

"Thank you, brother!" she exclaimed, her face lighting up with relief and happiness.

Indra nodded, his thoughts already drifting to the journey ahead.

In the S.H.I.E.L.D. office, Nick Fury sat behind his desk. Across from him on a sleek black leather sofa sat Black Widow and Hawkeye.

"There have been multiple disappearances in the city recently. I suspect they might be connected to those human bombs," Black Widow said, leaning back and addressing Fury.

Before she could finish, Hawkeye jumped in, "Yes, someone in the city has been heavily investing in research on a substance called the Extremis virus."

Hawkeye frowned and shook his head. "But we don't yet know who is behind the research. What we do know is that there are twelve secret testing sites across New York City."

Nick Fury sat in silence for a moment. Illegal human experiments? And right under their noses in New York City with that many hidden sites. This was more complicated than he initially thought.

Fury looked at Black Widow. "What exactly does the Extremis virus do?"

Black Widow shook her head. "We're not entirely sure yet, but it causes people to explode. There have been numerous cases of people spontaneously combusting in downtown New York. I believe they've been injected with the Extremis virus."

Fury's frown deepened. He knew the devastation these human bombs could cause. A single explosion had leveled a fifteen-story bank, leaving a scene of utter destruction.

He sighed and said to Black Widow, "Call Tony and fill him in."

Black Widow shrugged, "Happy already called. He said Cap was found but got beaten up pretty badly."

Fury's frown turned into a scowl, and Hawkeye couldn't hide his surprise. "Beaten up? By whom?" he asked.

Black Widow shook her head. "We don't know. They just said it was someone with superpowers, someone who could breathe fire."

The mention of "superpowers" made Fury rub his temples. Superhumans were a headache—strong, uncontrollable, and if they were enemies, it was always a tough battle.

"What's his name? Is he friend or foe? Do we have any intel on him?" Fury fired off the questions rapidly.

Black Widow looked exasperated. "We don't know. All we know is that this superhuman burned down a burger joint."

Fury massaged his temples in frustration. As Black Widow and Hawkeye prepared to leave, Fury suddenly asked, "What about that lucky guy? Any news on him?"

They both knew he was talking about Indra.

Black Widow couldn't suppress a smile at the mention of Indra, while Hawkeye frowned and said, "No idea. After leaving S.H.I.E.L.D., he vanished. We've got nothing on him."

Fury sighed. A wasted talent, he thought. Despite not joining S.H.I.E.L.D., it was a shame to lose someone of such potential.

Hawkeye's discomfort with the attention on Indra was palpable. "He may be lucky, but he's just an ordinary guy. I don't see why he's worth the fuss."

He gave Fury a pointed look. "If he were part of S.H.I.E.L.D., he'd be the first to run during a mission. His physical condition is so poor, I could take him down without breaking a sweat."

Black Widow scoffed, crossing her arms. "Really? The man who couldn't even shoot an arrow?"

Hawkeye's face turned red with anger as he slammed his fist on the desk. "That was a fluke! If I see him again, I'll make sure he stays down!"

The little girl introduced herself to Indra as Annabelle. Indra found the name too long and Creepy for some obvious reasons, so he decided to call her Anna for convenience.

The two of them were now sitting in a pickup truck they had found on the roadside, enjoying the breeze. Indra hummed a tune, feeling quite at ease.

Through their conversation, Indra learned that Anna had been separated from her parents and was subsequently captured and injected with the Extremis virus in a laboratory. This revelation made him realize that there were more labs in the city besides the one he had destroyed.

"Brother, I saw you fighting that man yesterday. You actually beat him! You're amazing! Do you think I can be like you someday?" Anna asked excitedly, her eyes wide with admiration as she curled up in the seat beside him.

Anna was much more lively than Indra had expected. After chatting with her for a while, it was clear that she no longer felt the fear she once had.

"In theory, yes," Indra responded, keeping his eyes on the road.

He knew the power of the Extremis virus well. However, Anna was still young and not as fortunate as he was. While the virus could enhance strength and regenerate limbs, the regeneration process could cause dangerous overheating, leading to explosions. For Anna, the virus was like a ticking time bomb inside her body, so it was best to avoid using it.

"But try not to play with fire too much," Indra advised.

Anna scooted closer, her large eyes blinking up at him. "Why, Brother?"

Indra raised an eyebrow, half-joking as he drove. "Because playing with fire can make you wet the bed."

Anna's face turned bright red. "I'm a big girl now! I won't wet the bed!" she protested.
