Viola
I waited for Aurora as I impatiently tapped my foot against the white floors of the coffee shop we had agreed to meet in.
Where was she?
My phone rang for the millionth time and I hit ignore…again. Men were liars. Mothers had made sure to remind me of that for every waking moment of my life.
All they did was manipulate women to do their bidding. I would not fall into that trap and allow Nikolas to manipulate me into thinking what he did was okay.
"Hey, cognata," Aurora said as she approached me and kissed me on the cheek. "There was traffic on the way." (Cognata - sister-in-law)
She sat opposite me and immediately looked at me with eyes full of pity. I probably looked disheveled and disturbed, like I had a lot on my mind.
If Mother saw me, she would lose her mind. She would probably punish me for it.
Aurora put her hands on mine across the table and started talking.
