With a frustrated sigh, Giovanni tentatively reached over to grip the exposed wires between his fingertips and tried to turn the engine back on, but nothing happened. There was only a lengthened, ominous rumbling echoing from under the hood until the engine sputtered and died. The car was well and truly out of fuel. No amount of hot wiring was going to get this car moving again.
