Gremory Mansion
Kaito teleported back to the Gremory mansion, still feeling the weight of the situation with Asia. As he materialized at the entrance, he was immediately greeted by the familiar and welcoming environment of the mansion. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his thoughts as he walked down the main corridor.
Entering the grand hall, he spotted Rias, Akeno, Kiba, and Koneko gathered, discussing something important. They all looked up when they noticed Kaito's presence.
"Kaito," said Rias, with a tone of surprise mixed with concern. "What happened? I told you to rest."
Kaito took a deep breath, trying to organize his thoughts before speaking. "Rias, I know I should rest, but something very serious has happened. I need your help."
Rias frowned, sensing the gravity in Kaito's voice. "What happened, Kaito?"
Kaito quickly explained about Asia and the priest who took her, detailing Miki's encounter and his concerns about what might be happening to Asia.
"She was taken by a priest, and I have a very bad feeling about it. His description, the whole situation... it seems very suspicious. I feel that Asia is in danger."
Rias crossed her arms, her expression serious. "When you were human, maybe that was possible. But now, as a Devil, you have to understand the consequences of your actions. We can't get involved with people from the church without risking our safety and theirs."
Kaito frowned, feeling frustration growing. "I understand the risks, Rias. But that doesn't change the fact that Asia needs help right now. We can't just leave her behind."
Akeno stepped forward, trying to calm the situation. "Kaito, Rias, let's resolve this together. There's no point in arguing now. We need to act in a coordinated manner."
Koneko, sitting in a corner, was eating her sweets, but her eyes were attentive to the conversation. She observed every movement with interest.
Kiba remained serious, waiting for Rias's orders, ready to act at any moment.
Rias, however, ignored Akeno's attempt to calm the situation and continued to reprimand Kaito. "Kaito, you need to understand that acting impulsively can put all of us in danger. As a Devil, you have responsibilities and must think about the consequences before taking any action."
Kaito couldn't keep calm. "Rias, you don't understand! Asia is in danger now! We don't have time for caution. If it were any of us, you wouldn't hesitate to help. She deserves the same care."
Rias shook her head, irritated. "No, Kaito, she is a nun. She is not like us. We have to be careful with our actions, and we can't afford to be impulsive."
Kaito's expression became even more serious. "I can't just stand by while Asia is in danger. Even if she is a nun, she is still someone who deserves to be protected. I'm going after her, with or without your help."
Rias crossed her arms and looked directly into Kaito's eyes. "No, you won't. That's an order, Kaito."
Kaito frowned, anger and frustration growing inside him. "I WON'T STAND STILL! Asia needs our help now, and I won't abandon her."
The tension in the hall increased significantly. Akeno, observing the situation, realized that the argument was about to get out of control. She knew things could get complicated if they continued at this pace. Kaito was clearly determined, but Rias couldn't simply ignore protocols and the safety of the Peerage.
Akeno approached slowly, placing a hand on Kaito's shoulder, trying to calm the situation. "Kaito, I understand your concern and urgency. But we need to think of a solution that doesn't put everyone at risk. Let's resolve this together in a way that we can help Asia without compromising anyone's safety."
Rias watched as Akeno tried to calm Kaito, but her thoughts were fixed on Kaito's clear insubordination. He was directly challenging her authority, something that could not be tolerated in her Peerage.
"He's being insubordinate and reckless," thought Rias, feeling irritation grow. "If I let this slide, he will never learn to respect my decisions. I need to act now and show that this type of behavior will not be accepted."
Rias interrupted Akeno before she could continue. "Akeno, enough!" said Rias, her voice sharp and authoritative. "We will not help Asia. Kaito needs to understand that our actions have consequences, and we cannot afford to act impulsively."
She turned to Kaito, her gaze cold and determined. "Kaito, you are challenging my authority and putting everyone at risk. Asia is a nun, and we cannot get involved in church matters. You need to learn to accept this reality."
Rias paused, letting her words sink in. "If you continue to act this way, there will be severe punishments. You will have to live with that. Our priority is the safety of our group, and we cannot risk everything for one person. This is part of what it means to be a Devil under my command."
She crossed her arms, emphasizing the seriousness of her decision. "You will have to accept this, Kaito. And if you try to act on your own, you will face the consequences. There will be no more discussions on this matter."
Rias hoped that her words would be enough to show Kaito the seriousness of the situation and the need to respect her authority as king.
"Who said I intend to respect your authority?" Kaito replied, his voice filled with defiance.
Rias narrowed her eyes. "And what are you going to do? Turn into a Stray Devil?" she asked, with a tone of disdain.
"Maybe I will," Kaito responded without hesitation.
The tension in the room increased. Kiba placed his hand on the hilt of his sword, prepared for any eventuality. Koneko, in turn, began putting on a pair of gloves, ready to act if necessary. Akeno stepped away from Kaito and moved closer to Rias, preparing to support her leader.
Kaito observed the movements of the others, realizing that the situation was about to escalate into a physical confrontation. He knew he was at a disadvantage, but his determination to help Asia wouldn't let him back down.
Rias took a step forward, her expression unyielding. "You will obey me. After all, you are my servant."
