At the bustling airport, Emily spotted Carla waving energetically as soon as they emerged from the terminal. Carla quickly ran towards them, her face lighting up with a broad smile. She enveloped Emily in a warm, tight hug before kneeling down to scoop the twins into her arms.
"I missed you so much," Carla said, her voice filled with emotion as she held the twins close.
"I missed you too, Aunt Carla," Emma replied, her eyes shining with joy.
Carla stood up, brushing a tear from her cheek, and nodded appreciatively at Ed, who was trailing behind with their bags.
"Thanks, Ed. I can take it from here," Carla said, reaching for the bags.
"But Mr. Stratton said I need to stay with Miss Johnson until he returns," Ed explained, his expression serious.
Carla smiled and reassured him, "I'll move in with them. I heard the guest bedroom in the penthouse is even bigger than my master bedroom in Brooklyn."
