When Alex regained consciousness, he was being carried by someone of similar height down a hotel hallway. He heard a familiar voice beside him, "Room 1801, at the end of the hall." It was Olivia Winters. He was still in the same building, but now he was out of the restaurant and on the hotel level, the 18th floor.
Alex tried to gather his thoughts, his stomach churning painfully. A wave of nausea surged through him, and before he could control it, he vomited all over Olivia just as she was about to open the door. Her scream pierced the air, bringing him a bit more clarity. The door opened, and the man beside him dragged him into the room, laying him on the bed.
"Miss Winters," came a man's voice.
"You can leave now." Alex heard Olivia's voice from the bathroom, followed by the sound of the door closing.
