Back in the penthouse, Emily led the twins to their bedrooms to get ready for bed. Just as Andy picked a book for their nighttime reading, Alex walked in. "I'll take it from here. I have the bath ready for you."
"Are you sure you can handle this?" Emily asked, raising an eyebrow.
Alex nodded with a smile and gently took the book from her hand. She glanced at them sitting on Emma's bed before heading toward the master bedroom.
In the bathroom, the oversized tub was half filled with water, steaming gently. Emily grabbed a bath bomb and tossed it into the water, watching it dissolve into a light green hue. She tied her hair up and stepped in, slowly adjusting to the temperature as she dipped her feet and legs before finally submerging her entire body. Leaning her head back against the edge of the tub, she closed her eyes, savouring the tranquility, the soothing sounds of the water jets massaging her back.
