Chapter 13 - Hanada's Surprise Party

As Hanada, Akari, and Kenji made their way to the student lounge, the air was heavy with tension. Hanada's heart pounded in his chest, his mind racing with thoughts of what awaited him back in his dorm room.

When they arrived at the student lounge, they found it deserted, the soft glow of the overhead lights casting long shadows on the walls. Hanada sank into one of the worn-out armchairs, his stomach churning with anxiety.

"I can't believe this is happening," Hanada muttered, running a hand through his hair.

Akari sat beside him, offering a reassuring smile. "It's going to be okay, Hanada-kun. We'll make sure nothing bad happens."

Kenji paced back and forth, his brow furrowed in deep thought. "We need to come up with a plan. If Ayaka and her cronies show up here, we'll be trapped."

Hanada nodded, his mind buzzing with fear and uncertainty. "I don't want anyone in my room. They'll invade my privacy, and I can't handle that right now."

Suddenly, a loud knock echoed through the empty lounge, causing all three of them to jump. Hanada's heart sank as he realized what was happening.

"They're here," he whispered, his voice barely audible over the pounding of his heart.

Akari and Kenji exchanged worried glances before Akari spoke up. "Hanada-kun, you stay here. Kenji and I will go talk to them and try to stall for time."

Hanada nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude for his friends' unwavering support. As Akari and Kenji left the room, Hanada closed his eyes, trying to calm his racing thoughts.

---

Back in Hanada's dorm room, Ayaka and her fan club members were busy setting up for the surprise party. Streamers adorned the walls, balloons floated lazily in the air, and a large banner hung above Hanada's bed, proclaiming "We Love You, Hanada-kun!"

Ayaka paced back and forth, her excitement palpable. "This is going to be perfect. Hanada-kun will finally see how much we care about him."

The other girls nodded eagerly, their eyes shining with anticipation. "I can't wait to see the look on his face," one of them gushed.

As they put the finishing touches on the decorations, Ayaka couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. She was finally going to show Hanada how much he meant to her, how much she needed him in her life.

---

Meanwhile, in the student lounge, Hanada's nerves were on edge as he waited for Akari and Kenji to return. Every passing moment felt like an eternity, and the silence of the room only added to his anxiety.

Finally, after what felt like hours, the door creaked open, and Akari and Kenji stepped inside. Hanada's heart skipped a beat as he looked up at them, his eyes filled with hope.

"What happened?" he asked, his voice trembling with emotion.

Akari sighed, her expression grave. "We tried to reason with them, but they wouldn't listen. They're determined to have this party, whether you want it or not."

Hanada's stomach churned with dread. "What are we going to do?"

Kenji clenched his fists, his jaw set in determination. "We're going to stop them. No matter what it takes."

---

Back in Hanada's dorm room, the party was in full swing. The girls chattered excitedly, their laughter filling the air as they eagerly awaited Hanada's arrival.

Suddenly, the door burst open, and Akari and Kenji stormed into the room, their expressions fierce. The chatter died down as all eyes turned to them, confusion and apprehension evident on the faces of the partygoers.

"What's going on?" Ayaka demanded, her voice tinged with annoyance.

Akari stepped forward, her gaze unwavering. "This party is over. Hanada-kun doesn't want it, and we won't let you invade his privacy like this."

Ayaka's eyes flashed with anger, and she took a step closer to Akari. "Who do you think you are, trying to ruin our fun? Hanada-kun deserves to be celebrated, and we're going to make sure that happens."

Kenji stepped forward, his voice calm but firm. "Hanada-kun's feelings matter more than your fan club fantasies. If you really care about him, you'll respect his wishes and leave him alone."

The room fell silent, tension thick in the air as the two sides faced off. Hanada's heart pounded in his chest as he watched, his mind whirling with conflicting emotions.

Finally, Ayaka let out a frustrated sigh, her shoulders slumping in defeat. "Fine. If that's what Hanada-kun wants, then we'll leave. But this isn't over. We'll find a way to show him how much we care."

With that, Ayaka and her followers gathered their things and filed out of the room, leaving behind a trail of deflated balloons and discarded streamers.

---

As the door closed behind them, Hanada let out a shaky breath, relief flooding through him. He looked at Akari and Kenji, gratitude shining in his eyes.

"Thank you," he said, his voice choked with emotion. "I don't know what I would do without you guys."

Akari smiled, wrapping him in a tight hug. "We're always here for you, Hanada-kun. Always."

Kenji clapped him on the back, a grin spreading across his face. "Now, let's clean up this mess and get you some peace and quiet."

And as Hanada stood in the midst of the chaos, surrounded by his friends, he felt a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, his college life wouldn't be so uneventful after all. But for now, he was content to bask in the warmth of their friendship, knowing that no matter what challenges lay ahead, he wouldn't have to face them alone.

---

The night wore on, and Hanada's dorm room was finally quiet once more. With the help of Akari and Kenji, Hanada had managed to restore order to his sanctuary, removing all traces of the failed surprise party.

As he settled into bed, exhaustion washing over him, Hanada couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the friends who had stood by him through it all. Despite the chaos and the challenges, he knew that as long as he had them by his side, he could face whatever the future held.

With that comforting thought in mind, Hanada closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep, feeling a newfound sense of peace settle over him. And as he slept, a smile tugged at the corners of his lips, his dreams filled with visions of brighter days ahead.
