------------------------------------------------------------

Alex's eyes almost popped out of his socket; he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

In front of him was actually a status screen, just like the cat said, meaning he had actually awakened Mana.

It all felt like a dream, aside from the absurdity of the situation.

There were a lot of things that caught his attention on the system panel.

First was obviously his name; at first, he was confused by Mr. Nyan addressing him by this name.

But judging from the status screen, this was probably the name of the original owner.

Which, by extension, also meant it was his name.

'Raze brightheart, huh? It has a nice ring to it. I like it'

Next was his age; for some reason, this new body was the same age as him when he died.

Alex was really surprised by how crazy of a coincidence that was.

But he didn't think it was anything more than a coincidence, so instead he moved on to other, more important things.

His class, Magic Archer , wasn't really a class you usually see in this type of story, so while the name seemed pretty self-explanatory and he could probably try to guess the details of the class himself, he didn't need to as he could just check the description of the class in detail.

"Wow, that's a lot" Raze muttered in amazement.

His class had really surprised him, as it was really useful and gave him a lot of very helpful benefits.

He wasn't sure what some of these words meant, but he didn't sweat them too much since the cat had already made it clear that he wasn't going to answer his question.

And judging from the way he was acting, he was probably going to start his first tutorial in a few minutes.

But just from his understanding, it was clear that he was supposed to be a long-range fighter.

Which was perfect as that would allow him to be in a safer position than the close-range fighters while still being able to fight and reap the benefits.

Also, Alex hadn't even thrown a single punch his whole life, and he was disabled for, like, the last 4 years of his life.

He still wasn't even comfortable walking; asking someone like him to fight in close range was no different from a death sentence.

Overall, he was really satisfied with his class.

But there was still one more thing he needed to look at.

His innate rune.

"Interesting," Raze muttered.

When he first saw the name inventory, he was honestly a bit worried.

He thought that it was purely a utility-based ability without any combat application.

Judging based on his knowledge of other novels and anime was definitely a concern, especially considering how he expected to be fighting some fantasy monsters.

But this sub-effect that he saw really changed his mind.

Alex had always been a pretty creative person with a wild imagination.

And he could already feel his mind running wild just imagining all the fun and unique ways he could use this power, but he had to stop himself and focus on his present situation instead.

Now there was only one thing left to see, and that was his stats.

All of his stats except for mana were at 1, which didn't take a genius to understand that it was bad.

And as for the 20 mana he had, while nice to look at, it was pretty useless to him in his current situation.

After all, he didn't know how to use it; he didn't even have any attack runes to use it.

He was extremely weak, and the only way for him to survive was by using everything he had to the fullest.

"So, are you finally done?" Mr. Nyan asked, having grown bored from waiting.

Hearing this, Alex, or rather, Raze, didn't say anything and instead took out the black mask from earlier that he had kept in his pocket and used it to cover his face.

He didn't know what he was going to face, and it was definitely better to be safe than sorry.

"Yes, I am," Raze replied, feeling ready to face whatever was waiting for him on the other side.

"Perfect, let's get this over with," Mr. Nyan said, excited to not need to babysit Raze anymore.

However, almost as if he had just remembered it, he summoned a plain-looking knife with a brown grip and threw it towards Raze, which he thankfully caught.

The knife was barely 6 inches in length and had a pretty good overall weight distribution, but aside from that, it wasn't really anything special.

Raze wanted to inspect the knife a bit more, but before he could, he had already been teleported to the location of the first tutorial by Mr. Nyan.
