Alek looked at this status screen, feeling confidence rise from within him.

Barely 30 minutes ago, Alek was still at home studying for his upcoming exams.

After all, while everyone else was panicking about the end of the world, according to his knowledge, that didn't cancel his exam.

And he needed to become a lawyer and uphold justice to fulfil his father's last words.

But out of nowhere, a random system panel appeared in front of him.

Honestly, at first, it looked really stupid, and he didn't really believe it, but the things that the panel said really resonated with him, and he ended up clicking them.

And before he knew it, he ended up here.

There was this black cat in strange attire who was explaining something to him, but it looked too cute for him to care; he just kept wanting to pet it the whole time.

He was a bit confused about the whole thing, but apparently he was supposed to be some sort of chosen one.

While he didn't know what exactly he was chosen for, he did know that the tower held the key to achieving his dreams and bringing about a world where no one needs to be falsely accused of a crime and executed like his father, while the real criminal gets to walk the streets.

Originally, he just wanted to be a lawyer and bring about as much of a change in his life span as he could.

But since the tower offered him the power to properly change the world for the better, just by climbing, he would gladly do it.

And looking at the way things were going, it seems he made the right choice.

The people were weak, confused, lacking direction, and in need of a leader, and since no one else wanted to step up, he would gladly take up the position himself.

He knew he wasn't quite strong enough to save everyone yet, but as long as his actions could save even one extra life, that would be enough.

"Everyone, stop panicking and calm down. I know many of you are confused and afraid.

But now is not the time, so save your questions and worries for later; instead, just pick up your weapons and charge with me to face the enemy.

We humans did not endure thousands of years of evolution and three wars just to fall against  disgusting little midgets the size of children, without even the proper ability to think.

"Some of us might die today, but for all of those who survive, glory and change awaits"

As Alek finally finished his speech, the already bright sun seemed to glow brighter as it cast its light on the young hero, making him look like the living embodiment of hope with his golden, glowing sword in hand.

His current golden form, when paired with his speech from earlier, was enough to chase away the fear and confusion that had taken hold of everyone present as they prepared to chase the glory of victory that he had promised.

The men and women rallied behind their blonde saviour, who had pulled them out of the depths of despair.

With his confidence soaring to new heights, knowing that he had truly made a difference, Alek screamed.

"Charge!"

As he screamed this, he ran forward, along with all the humans behind him.

Despite being much smaller in number compared to the goblins, the unwavering confidence and vigour that they displayed were enough to even strike fear in the hearts of the mindless goblins.

The tables had finally begun to turn, and this was all because of one man.

The hero of humanity, destined to save the planet, had finally emerged.

**

Goosebumps.

Raze could feel the hair on his skin standing up with every word that came out of Alek's mouth.

He knew that this was about to happen, and yet it still took every fibre of his being to not let go of his fear of death and just charge forward for glory.

It was almost like a spell was being cast on him that he barely managed to resist.

Raze really wasn't surprised to witness the scene unfold in front of him; after all, he already knew it was going to happen.

In fact, he had intentionally decided not to rush to his 20th kill yet and progress just to be able to see this scene.

And after seeing it, he was finally convinced about the unthinkable that had happened to him.

But he couldn't afford to get distracted just yet, after all the moments he had been waiting for were just about to happen.

Thanks to his [Far Sight] rune, despite being quite away from the main battleground, he could see it before anyone else.

A lone goblin was using all the chaos on the battlefield to try and sneak up on Alek.

If everything went like normal, the goblin would manage to land a clean hit on Alek using its sword and cause mass panic to break out amongst the unstable human formation, which relied on Alek being in charge and ended up leading to useless casualties.

Unfortunately, for the goblin, Raze had no plan of letting it succeed.

Having already locked in on the head of the sneaky goblin, Raze pulled the trigger without hesitation.

~BANGG!!~

The bullet left the gun and flew through the air too fast and small to be noticed amongst all the chaos and bloodshed.

And in less than a second, the head of an unsuspecting goblin exploded.

To everyone else, this was completely normal, as they had already seen the masked man kill 19 other goblins the same way, which served to desensitise them to the exploding heads of goblins.

All except for one man.

As Alek turned around, he had a look of shock on his face as he stared at the now-dead goblin, which had almost fatally injured him, and then moved his gaze towards the masked man holding his gun with smoke still coming out of it.

Since this was his 20th kill, Raze's body was starting to break down into light particles as he was being teleported away from the battlefield.

However, in his final moments on the first tutorial, he seemed to be muttering something that no one seemed to be paying attention to.

But, despite all the chaos and bloodshed, Alek could perfectly hear his words.

"You owe me one."

And with that, his body finally broke down into particles as Raze Brightheart passed the first tutorial floor.

Marking the beginning of his incredibly long and impossible ascent up the tower.
